If my employer sucks, I'll leave for more money. If my employer's awesome, I'll stay out of loyalty. Some things are more important than money.

Like setting up the beginning of your adult life with a financial windfall in return for doing something you have trained your entire life for and in all likelihood will come to an immediate end the fourth weekend of March? Oh the humanity. Clutching my pearls thinking of all the young adults who simply want the ability to pay off their student loans and save for home prices that are completely out of reach for an entire generation entering a workforce that is wholly not hiring recent graduates with no work experience.

You're the one who turned it into a work analogy. Now we're switching back?

The general idealogy is that "they transferred for NIL money" so in that essence it is a work analogy.

No way! Brock Hardy is super cool. (Not as cool as Mendez but still super cool)

I am not a Nebraska supporter generally, but Hardy has won me over to the super cool point of view.  A lot of super cool wrestlers out there and we do not know all of their stories.  Love his attitude and love to watch him compete - relentlessly active and inovative.

Everyone here knows that I am the biggest Carter Starocci fan so I really only wish him the best but I think it would be really funny to watch pond scum Mineo and the PSU faithful try and defend him after he forfeits out of the tournament, leaves Philly, and writes some boulderdash on twitter.

I suspect Starocci's doing it to mess with people. Ferrari genuinely believes he's a golden god.

Nah there's not enough evidence to suggest this is a troll on his part (outside of maybe the Arnold beef).  See: his crashout at B1Gs last year.

A+ on the use of balderdash (F- on spelling).

Balderdash holds a special place in my heart. I was doing an interview and I was about to say "bullshiit". The B was locked and loaded, and half way down the barrel, when I though better of swearing and I with an awkward hitch I said "balderdash". The next day, a writer I have always loved picked up the quote while also using my name in his article. I can now die a happy man. And I am convinced it was for the arcane word choice.

"Malarkey" is also a solid choice, but prob not next to balderdash, esp considering your story!

I'm calling shenanigans on this story. Pure hogwash.

I'm ambivalent about Starocci BUT... just saying... if he whiffs on #5 it'll probably save us from a bunch of fussing and nitpicking every time one of those GOAT discussions comes up

Taye Ghidiali is a prime example of this, and from his own mouth, Scotti Sentes was the one that encouraged him to transfer so that he could be in a better training / financial situation rather than staying at Cambell. Who knows how much he'll be getting for his year at Michigan, but it's certainly going to be helpful in setting up his life after collegiate wrestling is over. Taye had nothing but loving words to say about Scotti and his time at Cambell, and mentioned how important Scotti will be in his life going forward. It's not about an athlete turning on their program, but undeniable beneficial opportunities that can come to athletes to transfer in todays college landscape.

He’ll act fine - with the cameras on, hopefully he’ll play fair when gets an opponent close to the edge of the circle.

Everyone under age 50 has left the chat

Surprised and relieved to learn there was anyone under 50 to begin with.
