What a compelling example of the caliber of faculty these days.

Ha! Musk isn't "faculty" at the White House - he's the acting President. Unelected, unwanted, and a douche.

Unfortunately, Sleepy Trump is on his last legs.

Project 2025 requires considerable energy.

Ripping up the Constitution and tossing it out isn't an easy task. Ethics, morality, patriotism all get in the way.

They had to assign it to migrant from Africa who has no soul and doesn't give a rip about US patriotism to get it done.

Oh, and did I mention he's a racist white guy who doesn't even bother to use a dog whistle. He exhibits it proudly.

@mspart Here's a video that explains it quite well - without nearly the typical bias you'd get on xwitter. It is CNN and it is Jake Tapper, so some many not like that part, but watch it.

You'll see the Fox/Trump version of the same thing happening during an interview with him. @headshuck Per your previous post about exactly that, I'm not "up in arms" about it. The point here is about the reality of the situation. Not the outrage and anger that Trump continually seeks to stoke from his base.

As usual, the 'big outrage' being made over 60 Minutes - isn't really what it's being made out to be.

There was no "changed answers" for either Kamala or Trump. No deepfakes. It was just normal TV editing as @Tripnsweep has already suggested multiple times.

The big picture is that Trump can speak for three hours in long form on Rogan and leave you impressed.  The media has to clip Trump to cut context and make up bad intent stories to make him look worse.

The opposite is true for Harris.

No he couldn't. He can barely be coherent for 5 minutes now. Unless he's reading a script, and even then it's iffy whether he sticks to it.

Did you watch the Rogan interview?

I'll admit some speeches are more coherent than others...

But listen to the man in long form and it is not the story the media says...

If he is lying and they are false why is Paramount settling?

If they settle?  It's likely because they're in the middle of a very lucrative merger that notoriously petty Donald Trump and his administration have the power to kill it.

Every now and again I will check into one these threads to see if the usual level of dumb is being maintained.

It is.

Are you saying we are not getting any better or worse at our level of dumb?  No slope on the graph of dumb vs. time?  Either up or down?  What a bunch of underachievers!!  Can we have a graph or a spreadsheet depicting this maintenance of dumb you're observing?

Yeah, according to @RockLobster and Jake Tapper, in order to obtain a payout of something as high as 8B, they are trying to settle a 10B suit while, Trump is trying to amend it to 20B.

What somebody asks for in a lawsuit greatly exceeds what they'll actually get.

This sort of editing has been happening for a very long time now...on both sides...I am just glad Americans are starting to see through the legacy media and how ridiculous they are...and this particular "editing" job didn't impact the election...at least not how they were hoping it would.
