PJ Duke as well. Top two recruits of 2025. Their 2024 class was impressive as well. Only Sam Herring on the 2026 class which is a bit surprising. I think the tide will start to turn in the next few years with teams closing the gap.

He got Blaze which was great, but two straight misses on Bo and Jax now.  Is Cael losing his allure a bit?  Or is it NIL or something else?

yeah with all three going to different schools cael got the best of the 3...but hes totally losing his touch...

How much NIL do you think all 3 would cost? Does Penn State have an infinite amount of money to spend? Those 3 would be really big ticket amounts.

the 2024 and 2025 classes for psu I think have the ability to go down as one of the best 2 year stretches ever.

9 in the top 15 between those years.  Spots fill up resources are allocated.  PSU can't get them all every year.

Yes, Cael has lost his touch. It's a shame because he had a record setting team last year with potential to eclipse the point totals this year. But, when you are cooked - you're cooked!

I'm not going to directly address the trolly pastry, but it's certainly interesting that two high level PA recruits left the state and by all reports were at best 3rd for both (and they missed on Dreshaun Ross who they also recruited), it doesn't mean anything...yet.  obviously I hope it signifies a change in recruiting patterns but as many have pointed out, PSU has loaded up the last two classes and is currently a fairly young team as well.  I think they only lose Carter and Kerk next year.  Big losses, obviously, but high quality replacements.

They do have a bit of a pile up at the middle weights to sort out, but the biggest potential "problem" i could see might be at the biggest weights. With Ryder and Barr and Mirasola vying for two weights, if little Mirasola doesn't make it...does he stay?  If he doesn't, does his brother leave?  Big Mirasola is the only real HWT recruit right now, but some rumors of them going after the Moccos.

Bottom line, it's certainly interesting that PSU missed on three top end recruits they definitely tried to get, but it doesn't mean anything...yet.

At least he wasn't running around talking about "Braeden Dake-Vis" like some people.

You also have to remember these guys want to start right away. They want a chance to be in the mix as true freshmen.  I'm not saying they wouldn't get a chance to complete at PSU for the job but to beat out a national champ, runner up, heck even an all American is a tall order for a true freshmen. Maybe they saw the log jam at the middle weights and the 2025 class and thought they'd have a better chance of cracking the line up somewhere else.

He is masterfully avoiding the HEW guys and focusing on the high-upside still to develop prospects.

Are you implying the Brands can't develop prospects?  😅🤣😂
