what's shocking is he's still only 24 so 2 years younger than Daton was when he graduated. Also means he could potentially have two more olympic cycles left in him.

Interesting point. I always say no one gets better at wrestling by not wrestling. But in Steveson's case I am not sure it really matters. A rusty Steveson with no one to push him probably still dominates the field. I just think he is one of one.

Iowa seemed like the natural choice unless Bob Nicolls turned off the money tap.

Hahn would be on horn horn to Keuter

Craig Henning got screwed in the 2007 NCAA Finals.

Trent Hillger, Hayden Zillmer, plus Tabor and Hopke when healthy.

Hillger just won the Bill Farrell last weekend.

I am guessing once they pivoted to get Kueter full time,  they didn't want to come over the top and bring in Gable after Kueter sat out all of the football season.

NCAA needs to stop him.  "Olympic Redshirt"? He didn't even sign  up to compete in the trials. He is gaming the system and in reality should have no eligibility left.

At this point, he seems a bit like a drama queen in search of a new drama.

2019: Freshman, 3rd at NCAAs

2020: Sophomore, NCAAs canceled

2021: Junior, 1st at NCAAs, though this year does not count against his NCAA eligibility

2022: Junior, 1st at NCAAs

2023: redshirt

2024: Olympic redshirt

2025: Senior

So in other words, NIL is worth more than his MMA or WWE prospects.

If you're a terrible WWE prospect yeah...

I hear some other guys are looking for their shoes in trees: Wade Schalles, Dan Gable, Ben Askren. Gym Jordan .... There are even rumors that Dan Hodge found a pair hanging in a cemetery tree.image.thumb.jpeg.34d43daf7d5edf303f09ddb3b87f7079.jpeg

He has no WWE prospects, or contract. As for MMA they start you out small and slow. It is a heavy lift, with low odds, to get to the real money. And you get punched in the face a lot, a whole lot, in the meantime.

I am aware. I just said it differently.

Anyone else not care?

Since none of his matches will be expected to be close - and because Minnesota is still not expected to be vaulted into trophydom, I would have to say that ultimately, it doesn't move the needle much for me.  But I'm not against it.  Neutral is my stance
