I would keep Donnie as a pretty big follower of the team and I love Goodale known him since high school , had him coach against many many times in my life but man Rutgers has 0 AAs on staff and obviously no national champs and are losing there only World medalist Rivera who is going with Donnie, meanwhile Princeton down the road has 3 ncaa champs ( Dubuque, Brewer Ashnault) and 2 AAs Jackson and Monday , a big ten program with a top 5 recruiting class and not even an AA ? Hmmm… Yeah... but still Somehow HC landed the #4 class in USA for 2024, Has a Great Fan Base and start season with about 12 guys on Roster who have competed in NCAA Tournament already...This season and the Future look Great in New Jersey! grapevine Posted September 6 Share Posted September 6 It is sad what has happened to Rutgers. Ashnault, Pritzlaff, and Rivera are gone. If Buxton also leaves, it will be a big disappointment. The Rutgers head coach is a great salesman and can recruit. But, lost the trust and respect of a number of top coaches and wrestlers. The Rutgers fan base deserves better. Successful teams lose coaches all the time for new/better gigs, better pay, more responsibility, etc., particularly at the end of an Olympic quad. Congrats, Rutgers fan base - you've made it.
