My vote goes to the Fighting Camel logo on the mat for Campbell University.  I like the Purdue Boilermakers, especially since the light gray is easy on the eyes when viewing matches.

But, the Campbell Fighting Camel mat is unmatched.

Who do you guys think has the best looking mat?

If you like Purdue's mat, you'll love the colors of the AFA's mat. Very easy on the eyes and the logo in the center is less distracting than Purdue's.

Uh... doesn't Edinboro have plaid singlets too?

(Their Heavyweight might get a teampoint deducted for taking down his singlet straps while on the mat!)

Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

If anyone has a good photo of the Fighting Camels wrestling mat would you please post it? I have been looking online and can't find one.

I see it in duals but getting a still image of it eludes me. Would help with a photo posted so we can see what I am posting about.

The Fighting Scots does look good.

The problem for me with the big white areas on a mat is the high contrast when trying to watch a match. Even worse when the video folks can't figure out how to set their exposure and you go from blinding brightness to dim as the auto exposure settings try to compensate for the White. Penn State videos have this problem too often.

Opinions on the octo-mats?

Odd! I actually wrestled in a tournament that had a square mat.  This was the late 80s.  When I say "square mat," I mean the competition area was not a circle, but a square.  Horrible match.  Blew a lead in the semi on that mat!

Gives them lots of premium seating for their boosters instead of having to try to find an empty seat in the stands...

Definitely the mat's fault! 🙂

Not the mat's fault, but still a bad memory of the mat.  First time down to weight and gassed!  Usually had a great tank.

Was this a duel at sunrise?  Maybe the sun was in your eye?  Did your opponent attack the hip?

I've never seen those octo mats before. Are they designed to interlock so you can fit more mats into an arena? I see it's UALR's so they must be new. Also now do they roll up?
