Thought he's a big enough name and had enough sway with the donors where that wouldn't be needed, but another perspective/merging of philosophies might be a good selling point.

Hammerlock3 Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Dennis should be gone, just cause he's lowest on the totem poll and thats how it works, terry takes his job (I think terry is very effective with senior freestyle types, NOT with younger folkstylers who need to develop dominatnt styles). Tom stay head (he raises a lot of money and seems administratively very effective), bring in Pritzlaff as associate head (he's got to run the room or none of this works). Rest of the staff gets canned too. If you said it'd be better with no Brands at all I'd disagree but certainly get the idea. "Half measures are a coward's form of insanity."

And the time is not right to dismiss the Brands. They do a lot of things right, contrary to what the naysayers want to believe. Pritzlaff has a lot to learn about running a machine like Iowa. And sharing the responsibility with TandT takes away a lot of pressure. 1

Same thing goes for when burroughs gets the double and then pushes the other guy out. Folkstyle is already dragging it with the amount of guys that pull the other guy out of bounds while their on top without an immediate stall call. 3

Forgot which one. But he said when he gets a single he knows he can’t finish in freestyle he just pushes him out for a cheap 1 that’s not wrestling. Thats nonsense. That sure isn’t offense. points for point sake doesn’t make the sport more entertaining. Just ask the 3 point takedown that was supposed to *cough* incentivize more offense. Weird that that didn’t change anything… and possibly added more stalling at the end. word.

I think this has been the answer all along. Get some new eyes but keep the core.
