Staff turnover can portend tumult. Boykin going to IMG seems like a lateral move at best, but more realistically a step down from Division I. Russell going back to Michigan when he came from Michigan was the most eye-opening. Making Yianni an official assistant was the big move people wanted. Despite his notoriety, I can't see him usurping Grey due to their close relationship. Grey would need to leave on his own accord for this to happen rather than be pushed out. The new Cornell AD's relationship with the program is drastically different from the previous AD (who was the ex-wrestling coach) and she's shown the willingness to move on from underachieving coaches at a far greater propensity than her predecessor. Grey still has a great relationship with the donors, but this could fray over time if other Ivies (Penn- newly flush with $20 mil) and resurgent Columbia overtake them. He's still recruiting well, and I don't see a move being made as long as that continues.

Lots of former NC State assistants becoming head coaches. Hilday likely on a similar path.

The crazy thing is the gap between Indiana and Ohio State in football was as great as the gap now between Indiana and Penn State in wrestling and they got it done!

Some good examples of underperformance compared to resources & expectations. Most of the names mentioned have solid relationships with the big money donors in their programs, which will save them. If they're not going to complain to the AD, they'll stay off their radar.

When Brands says in his press conferences that they need to be more aggressive, and the next match 90% of the lineup doesn't even attempt to shoot until the final seconds, what is the disconnect? Are they just not listening to him, or is this purposeful strategy sanctioned by TnT employed to give them (in their view) the best chance to win, and the aggressiveness talk is just fodder for the fan base? Same for the other stallers whose coaches preach aggressiveness in public comments.

If he's going to law school, transfer to Penn State, make a good impression and Nick Lee's dad might make you a job offer.
