  1. Seemed like the most likely guess from the “bonkers” EIWA claim. Where do we think he goes?
  2. I saw the lowlights of it, but I didn’t realize it was at 185 lbs. He looked kinda fat IIRC, so I guess he should be able to make 86kg then at least. No clue if he’s gotten in any better shape since the fight, I’d guess not since he was even getting paid for that.
  3. Also looks like Shane just posted his interview with Brian Smith on Wednesday
  4. Agree, I think it’s hard to set a half-point over/under since 4 (at least) seems like the most likely outcome. I don’t envision Dake or Snyder losing, or Taylor losing to someone besides Brooks, and then figure they get at least one of the other weights. I don’t know if I agree with your last sentence though. I think it being “more difficult” is probably only true at 86. 65 and 74 about equal IMO.
  5. Ah got ya. I wasn’t aware of that, unfortunately not sure if I recall him ever being discussed much at all until he was let go.
  6. I don’t get it. Does he have beef with a lot of people? Other than the inventor of the Sterilaser of course
  7. Apparently @Corby is not a fan of Stutzman
  8. Vito interview: cliff’s notes: injured his vertebrae early in the NCAA season, but doesn’t regret wrestling in the NCAA this year Got another injury at practice recently which seemed to be the catalyst for pulling out of trials. Said the weight cut wasn’t the real reason and that he was confident he could have made the weight but obviously it didn’t help (I believe he said he’s typically around 140). Hasn’t decided on weight for 2024 Olympic trials
  9. Perhaps this is a dumb question but is Jesus = God? I feel like I’ve heard some people make that equivalence but I thought he was supposed to be God’s son?
  10. Agree, except for maybe Aaron Brooks. For that reason I’m rooting for him to beat Yazdani in the Olympic finals just to hear his post-match interview.
  11. That post had some exaggeration to it for sure, but it is true that as far as training with guys most kids would rather wrestle with the more recently relevant guys (other than Cael). Ridge Lovett is on record as saying his dad wanted him to go to OSU because of John Smith, but he chose Nebraska at least in part because of Jordan Burroughs (although he of course left Nebraska…)
  12. Yeah that’s what I said. They believe he’s helping them. I believe it’s just their belief helping them, not actually Jesus
  13. Thanks for sharing. That’s disappointing. I was hoping the firing of the coach meant they actually wanted to improve the team. But they might want to get rid of it instead.
  14. Be warned. This is a Pyles monologue, not “Flo”
  15. Construction Management? If he’s on pace to graduate next year then I’m betting it’s Michigan and then he gets a Real Estate Development certificate (which of course would be relevant for a construction management degree) to use his last year of eligibility.
  16. I said in the post that “their belief”seems to help them (but apparently not with staying healthy before Olympic Trials). But I meant I think it’s their belief doing that, not Jesus himself.
  17. They’re pretty much the dominant RTC for women, which I guess is ironic given the current allegations. But they literally have either the person with the bye to the championship series or the #1 seed in the challenge tournament at every single women’s weight.
  18. He won’t make weight if he shows up at all
  19. The owner of this site said he “zapped” the thread in part because he was “uncomfortable with specific names mentioned”
  20. It was more because the last time this topic was discussed the thread got locked
  21. Does @Mike Parrish still post here?
  22. He who shall not be named? Like I said, I remembered seeing the announcement about Martori retiring, I didn’t realize that meant the club was closing…
  23. Yeah. Just some of the athletes their website currently lists (yes I know some never really trained there, but many did): Jordan Burroughs Helen Maroulis Dom Parrish Cohlton Schultz Zahid and Anthony Valencia Dom Bradley Austin O’Connor Benji Peak Tracy Hancock Victoria Anthony Forrest Molinari Audrey Jimenez Kayla Miracle Jordan Oliver Kyven Gadson Seth Gross Macey Kilty Maya Nelson One common question will be around the Blades sisters. They chose to not wrestle in college to instead train at Sunkist. Guessing Iowa has called them up?
