    I agree he can’t be compared to Soto, but not because he is a student athlete. Because Soto actually might help bring in comparable revenue to what he’s being paid. For example Soto can probably be compared to Arch Manning or some college football player making millions in NIL. But no college wrestler is bringing in a million in revenue per year. It’s great for the athletes, but this is basically a charity endeavor. I wonder how long it can last.

    this may be true for Taylor, but I don’t think it’s been proven yet. Most of their guys are pretty much the same as they’ve been. They just have a better team thanks to the portal. Has anyone shown a noticeable improvement except for maybe Surber?

    I don’t think the Brands brothers are (or were even if Bassett didn’t commit) going anywhere unless they choose to. Which IMO might have been in around 5-7 years anyway.

    I can’t imagine he will get pushed much if any harder than he has been by his dad and himself already. The dude already works out at 4:55am every day. I’m more worried about has he maxed out his potential already, which is still at the level of beating past national champs in FS, so of course not too shabby. But the last time we saw him wrestle D1 competition (albeit as a HS sophomore) he squeaked out a win over a guy that is 2-4 this year.
