24 years ago we experienced one of, if not the, darkest and most tragic days in the history of our nation. 8 years ago my community woke up in the morning and began picking up the pieces of the destruction left behind from Hurricane Irma 3 years ago my wife went under the first of many surgeries and treatments for a very rare form of cancer, that would take her life just 17 months later 2 years ago we finished the last room of the almost total rebuild of our home from the destruction of Hurricane Ian This morning I woke up hoping to see people realizing the hatred and division is going to bring us down and start a different path, only to see it amplified all over the place. I think beginning in 2026, September 11 is going to be spent way out in the ocean, or up deep in the mountains…totally off the grid.

I believe that if Lee takes the a fluke loss he will be bounced no repechage. I also do not believe that will happen. I believe he is the best wrestler on Team USA and he is the best wrestler at 57 in the world. I believe he is going to hulk-smash the competition. I believe that Hendrickson has had trouble with oak trees like Kerk and fast heavies like Hillger. I am hoping for the best. I hope I am wrong when I say that if he meets up with Zare, it is going to be very very ugly. He has the technique to beat anyone else, but that may not be enough. Go Carr! Bachman, Turner Ross, Luke Hayden and Colin Rutlin were all at the Mizzou/KU football game this past Saturday.

Even knowing how those matches ended up, I still got tensed up watching Andonian trying to figure out if he's pinning or being pinned at any given second! I loved watching his matches and seeing the refs make calls and wave them off constantly because it looked like he was taken down and then boom, quick switch up. Bryce's matches with Ed Scott at NCSU were the ones that got my 8 year old son to fall in love with wrestling...plus Bryce gave him a huge high five at the ACC Championships and that just sealed the deal!

The part that confuses me is if a civilian is rationale enough to meticulously plan and execute their getaway, that they would be irrational enough to take offense to Kirk. But I am not smart. I do not understand how leftist like the sport of wrestling…

Murder is wrong. This is (another) bad day for our country. You can add all sorts of obvious qualifiers to his murder -- his entire career was built on intentionally provoking people, he's defended gun violence as a necessary evil (which he was doing in the moments leading up to his murder), etc... But it's still WRONG, so what's the point? Yesterday was a step in the wrong direction for our country. End of story.

When the story originally came out, I saw on USA Wrestling's website, under "Ineligible Members", that his name was on the "Interim Membership Suspension" list. It's not there anymore. I assume that means USA Wrestling did an investigation and didn't find anything to keep him suspended. I would think any accusation of sexual misconduct would be taken very seriously by USA wrestling due to affiliation with kids clubs. He isn't listed on the NLWC athletes list, but who knows if he even planned to be. Any thoughts? Not a troll job...legitimately don't understand how there was supposedly video and now nothing...??

How many fans of international wrestling are there? As in, people who actually know non American wrestlers by name, their present form, and their accomplishments. A few thousand at best? Maybe much less. Sadulaev has a little microcelebirty status and name id, but other than him? My impression is that the biggest bloc of "international wrestling fans" (that aren't family members or former competitors) are hard core college wrestling fans who keep following these D1ers after they graduate. They know about domestic results and relive college matches through the domestic senior level season and intra American matchups. To them every foreign wrestlers is just some no name with a nationality based descriptor. Only Americans' performances matter (this American wrestled well, that other American did bad, this American would have done better). Nolf on today's FRL, I think is illustrative of some of these attitudes. Despite being a former senior level wrestler one year removed from competing, he had no clue Akgul retired, didn't know Geno was not retired, and had no insights to give about the 125kg field. He used the standard template rinse and repeat of "X American rep at Y weight is super good, he's my pick to win gold" that most wrestlers who don't follow wrestling use when they get asked questions by the wrestling media. Sort of a non sequitur, but if the competitors don't even care to learn about foreign wrestlers why should the fans? It does feel strange.
