I blame Bono for the Amos stuff; never should have been 197 - let him eat and be a heavyweight and I bet he's got much better results.3 points

So if I told you I am not seeing anything regarding the Epstein files on my "newsfeed", which must mean it's it isn't actually happening, would you believe me? Or more than likely 1. I am full of $hit 2. I am willfully ignorant 3. I am a troll 4. All of the above3 points

I know him personally, and you are right. GREAT kid. He is the baby brother of two pretty damn good D2 wrestlers. Listen to this room I put together for a weekend. Brady, Zan Fugitt, Gage Walker, two D2 hammers, and my kid. Let me say this. Zan AA was not a shock to the dudes that know him. It will not be a shock when Brady AA, well not to us anyway.2 points

Fargo was less than 3 weeks ago and high school grads can wrestle there. I believe they'll be removed in the next ranking. I don't want to speak for Bray (who does the high school rankings) but I think it's a better projection of where a kid is actually at heading into college than if they were removed 3 months ago. Think Mesenbrink after U20s his senior year. He made a huge jump that summer before his first year of college.2 points

So what you’re saying is you believe nothing in the world exists beyond your social media’s algorithms, which directly plays specifically into what you want to see. I would strongly recommend you watch the documentary “The Social Dilemma”.2 points

57kg: I do not really know what to make of Anthony Knox. He dominated the open against a field that was not super proven and then dropped a match to Ignacio Villasenor who just Dnp'd at fargo and got 4th at cadet trials. Knox showed really good counter wrestling a lot of chest wraps and he has always been great on top. I worry that if he allows guys in on his legs like he did Ignacio he may not be able to convert points like he did at trials. The biggest threats are going to be Bagirhov of Azerbijan he won the u20 European championships and took second to pavlov at u23's (pavlov is who Luke beat in the finals last year). Zangaladze from georgia took silver at Euros and beat a guy who I was very high on Ozdamirov who went on to get Bronze. Caio Aaron won pan ams over Antonio mills and he will be a tough out he is a USA guy representing Brazil and another guy wrestling in the united states that will be competing is Rin Sakamoto who took 5th at senior Asians and I think will present Knox with some serious issues. Prediction for Knox: DNP (I think he has the upside to win the entire thing I just was not thrilled with his last performance) 61kg: I fully expect Blaze to win this weight and dominate. His biggest test will likely come from Toktamotov from Kyrgestan who won the asian championships or Japans rep who did not compete there. However the guy from japan that did compete took second and I assume this guy beat him out for the spot. Jax beat the Japanese rep at cadets back in 2022. Adlan satiev (adam satievs son) is also in the field but I do not think he has much for Blaze but he is very fun to watch. Prediction for Blaze: Gold 65kg: This weight is very tough and we only have domestic data points for Blaze. Toprak and Dhzandubaev are going to be the main tests for Stanich. Toprak has been competing at juniors since he was cadet eligible and has always been in bronze medal matches, I think he is a legit top 20ish in the world senior level guy. Dhzandubaev owns two wins over him this year one by tech at u20's and one 6-4 at u23's both tournaments he won gold. I think given those results Dhzandubaev is the guy to beat but I think Stanich can certainly do so. I worry a bit that international refs may be quicker to hit stanich with passivity and for that I think I am giving Dhzandubaev the edge but again I think he can win the entire thing Prediction for Stanich: Silver 70kg: I mean I do not think there is a ton to go into here PJ should demolish this field. I think the second and third best u20 guys in the world could very well be Melvin Miller and Landon Robideau. Baitukaev has aged out but even if he was in this field I would still confidently pick PJ. Prediction for PJ: Gold 74kg: This weight is good. Khaniev took 5th at u23's last year as a 17 year old and won u23 euros this year. He did however lose to Manuel wagin at u20 euros who is also in this field and beat Melvin miller 7-0 last year at cadets. After saying all that I am still picking Ladarion but he will definitely be tested. Prediction for Lockett: Gold 79kg: For my money this is the deepest weight at worlds. Fortunately Shamispour is not competing for Iran he is a monster won cadets last year beating Wagin and was firmly in the running to potentially make Irans senior team. Begenjov from Turkmenistan is the returning champ and is an absolute monster he beat Ryder soundly in the finals. However he did lose in the asian semis to Amit from india who went on to beat shamispour in the finals. He was leading 6-1 at the time of getting pinned though so he is still my pick. Saidulov the russian rep is also good he took 5th last year but he lost to LJ Araujo who Henckel just handled so I dont see him as being a huge threat. Prediction for henckel: Bronze 86kg: This weight is kind of a 2 horse race for me. Papinashvilli from Georgia is very good he beat the returning bronze medalist from Turkey in the Euro finals and I think he is really the only guy that can go with Max. That being said I really like Max's pace and offense against the European guys. prediction for Mcenelly: Gold 92kg: Poyonov is a legit probably top 10 guy senior level at this weight. He took silver at senior asians last year and fifth this year only losing to firouzpour 5-0 who is probably the favorite to win worlds and dauletbekov 2-1 who is a former world medalist. Togoev I do not know anything about he is 18 and won Euros but his age makes me optimistic Connor will have a physicality advantage. Prediction for Connor: Silver 97kg: Erfan the Iranian is a monster he won bronze at cadets in 2022 but dominated his way through u20 asians and lost 3-2 to Yoshida in the finals of the ranking series (Yoshida beat Snyder this year). He will be a decided favorite over Radamacher but I expect Radamacher to able to medal against this field like he did last year. Genos brother? Konstanine Petriashvilli is also in this field and he won Euros. I think he has improved a lot but he had a very close match with Elijah Diakomihlais last year who got the spot because Dreshaun was hurt and Dreshaun teched him to make the team so I like Radamacher in that one. Prediction for Radamacher: silver 125kg: I truthfully do not know much outside of Gogolaev obliterated the field at euros and the Russian people seem to think he is going to fix their heavyweight issues. Cole is going to be able to wrestle with everyone there I do worry about his size a bit and giving up ground. I would have loved to see him hit Merill at some point to see how he handles that. Prediction for Cole: Silver1 point

This is great analysis- thank you! Here's what I'm thinking...you can book it now! 57kg - I think DNP is a little hard on Knox. I think he takes BRONZE. I think Sakamoto (JPN) is the favorite and beats Knox H2H. Other Challengers: Aitanov (KAZ)- he wrestled Lilledahl tough at Cadets two different years. I haven't seen Ozdamirov (RUS) enough and I'm not ready to anoint Zangaladze (GEO) quite yet. 61kg - Blaze for GOLD. Besides Toktamotov (KRG), I think Begoyan (ARM) is toughest (and beat Saitiev at Euro U20). Khateri (IRI) is capable of medaling here too. 65kg - is TOUGH TOUGH! Stanich is BRONZE. I think Dhzandubaev (RUS) is the favorite, followed by Toprak (TUR), but I can also easily see Uulu (KRG - U17 World Champ who beat Jordyn Raney) or Ashwani (IND) finding their way to Gold- neither will be an easy out. Sleeper is Karimov (AZE) who is former U17 Euro Champ and beat Magomedov in a wild one. 70kg - As strong as 65kg is, 70kg is just as weak. Duke for GOLD. I think Elahi (IRI) will be his biggest test, and maybe Ito (JPN) who beat Melvin Miller at U17 last year. 74kg - This weight is also underwhelming to me. Lockett for GOLD. Khaniev (RUS), Wagin (GER - who I still can't get behind) and Mamivand (IRI) will be his stiffest tests but keep an eye out for Yamaguchi (JPN), a former U17 Silver medalist. 79kg - I don't think Henckel finds the podium DNP. Too many tough guys here- Yousefi (IRI) is the favorite. Begenjov (TRK) and Amit (IND) will also be factors. Sleepers are Omarov (AZE) and Tchetchelashvili (GEO). 86kg - McEnelly for SILVER. If he can avoid being turned in par terre, he beats everyone in this group except Rahmani (IRI) who is my pick to win this weight. 92kg - Conner for BRONZE/DNP. Depends on the draw. Poyonov (UZB) is the favorite, and Sachin (IND) is one to watch out for- I think both beat Conner H2H. I don't recognize too many of the other guys 97kg - Rademacher for SILVER. He always looks undersized, and I can't figure out why?!? Alizadeh (IRI) gets this one done. Iran sending a strong team. Petriashvili (GEO) and Magamedov (RUS) are neck and neck but neither quite there yet. 125kg - I didn't pay too much attention to HWT so I'll pass on prediction.1 point

It’s actually a canal, not a retention pond. I can take the boat west and head to that big body of water surrounded by sand you see in the other picture. Or…I can take it east, north, or south and pull up to restaraunts, shops, or friends houses, or just chill in the connected lakes. Lots of options. It’s a unique little trait of this area of the cesspool. And….indoor? Vision problems? Who would want indoor around here when you have the beautiful sun 365 days a year??1 point

I would absolutely LOVE it if we just got rid of the entire dirty south part of the country. I wish they had won the civil war (they were too weak to win though). They'd be a 3rd world country and the rest of us would be much better without those pieces of toilet trash.1 point

8/4 First official day of home visits....Should be a busy week. Interesting to see if anyone verbals or to soo what schools visited kids. Always lots of these posted on social media. Out west most schools are back in school, but think most Eastern/Midwest schools are not so wonder if that affects things. Either way good stuff.1 point

Well, wrestling is mostly a parent-participant sport in the US. If interest goes any further than that, it ends at rooting for the college alma mater. Funny you mention Iranians, they're one of the few (or the only???) countries in the world with mass appeal fandom for wrestling. Like if there's a lively crowd at Worlds, 90%+ of the time it's Iranians in the stands. Everywhere else the wrestling world is a small and insular community. You might be the local town hero, but the regular denizens of St Petersburg or Tokyo have never wrestled and don't follow the sport at all. If you win an Olympic medal, you might participate in a ceremony and get a picture with a politician. That's about the extent of your national appeal.1 point

Well, I can't resist. In 1956, I read the book "100 Greatest Sports Heroes" and the three bios that impacted me the most were Frank Gotch, King of Wrestlers; Bob Mathias, King of the Decathlon, and Johnny Weissmuller, The Human Fish. I have written books about Gotch and became friends with Mathias late in life...and corresponded a bit with Weissmuller, who after setting 67 swimming records became even more famous as Tarzan in 12 movies. BTW. Dan Gable was a standout swimmer as a youth until he channeled all his energies into antoher sport.1 point

Who has come off the board (verballed) already? Villasenor- Okie State Tsarni- Air Force DeSalvo- Minnesota Am I missing anyone besides these guys? Also, when does Bassett make his decision? Heard maybe at Fargo but that has come and went, I imagine that may impact some kids on the 2027 list as well b/c he will obviously command a lot of resources from a school in terms of scholarship and NIL monies. Also, Bassett(s) and Miller still a package deal? I am guessing so, but did not know if anything had changed because Bo listed three schools and Melvin Miller had more on there but thinking they have not been updated since. Willie- would love to see those graphics again as kids start to narrow it down. We should see some of that soon as home visits start 8/4 when this dead period ends and visits will happen shortly after that as it seems the fall is a pretty busy time for those.1 point
