Is it time to start talking about Zeth Romney as a serious title contender at 133? He pinned Nasir Bailey today at national duals to add to a hit list that includes AA Evan Frost, NQ Jacob Van Dee, NQ Derrick Cardinal, NQ Braxton Brown, NQ Angelo Rini and NQ Kade Moore. He has one loss to Tyler Knox. Knox has the two most impressive wins on the season at 133; Ayala and Romney.3 points

As a Wisconsin fan I'll give you my top 3 people I would like to see as the next head coach. 1. Ben Askren: Obvious name recognition and has been a great coach at the club level. 2. Max Askren: Slightly less name recognition than Ben, but will probably fit into the structure and rules NCAA coaches have to follow. 3. Nick Becker: Has been great at Parkside, great relationships within the state for recruiting, and he has a good relationship with AWA so we can hopefully keep some of our studs home. 4. Non obvious hire, Alex Dieringer: From Wisconsin, great wrestler, and seems like a great guy. At the end of the day though they could hire basically anyone and get better results than what Bozo is currently getting.3 points

He has definitely jumped a level. He seems very confident out there. Last year at CKLV he lost to Evan Frost 16-3. This year he beat him 7-3. Last year he got teched by Bouzakis 24-6 and this year he beat him 6-5. He lost to Nassir Bailey 7-1 last year and just pinned him. That is a seriously impressive turn around.3 points

If you were one who actually wanted to learn about a topic instead of just wanting to argue about a topic, you would very quickly learn that it’s much more than some unknown persons perpectice…. PS- As for the kiddie table, yes there is actually one here, in the game room, with a nice view of the pool and PitDock. Let me know when you wanna stop by, I’ll have the PB&J ready.2 points

Penn State wrestlers finish because they get on their toes and pressure forward on their single legs. so many wrestlers try to pull in a sprawl. Also watch how Haines finished on Otoole in the freestyle match.1 point

So what is your point?? Other than to be an annoying a-hole?? Is it that unless Americans focus on every wrongdoing in the world, they shouldn't waste their time focusing on problems here in the USA??1 point

Hey Dumb Dumb, you're the one who said it depended on the price, I asked what that was, and you say you don't know, so your whole argument is once again completely worthless and meaningless. Thanks again for not contributing anything and for posting some of the worse things on here.1 point

The best part about this may be that if this was Biden's idea (lol), the RV would think it was fantastic.1 point

I disagree. Bono is a great coach, and should get a lifetime extension after this year.1 point

My podcast partner Brian Swaw will be calling the dual on BTN+ tomorrow. He was a wrestler, wrestling coach and is a wrestling father. He knows his stuff, and did a broadcast stint on ESPN radio. Plus, he's had a college student working with him as the play-by-play guy for two years running. Brian has been helping the kid out so that they make a great team now. I'd put them up against Mack Reiter at Minnesota and Jeff Byers at PSU. TOP QUALITY! I did enjoy Alex Marinelli and Kaleb Young when they called the ILLINI dual two years ago. They were pretty fair and obviously knowledgeable. The rest of the BTN+ crews have been on average very cringeworthy. If I hear another "player" or "that was a great play," I'm gonna.... On another subject, we have dueling statisticians. The first from the official ILLINOIS site, FightingILLINI.com: "The all-time series record between the Buckeyes and Illini is 37-37-1 with the first meeting dating back to 1934." The second is from the official Ohio State site: "The Buckeyes won a 37-34 edge in the all-time series against Illinois and have won seven of the last duals." That sentence has so many problems with it, I have to believe it was AI generated. I'm going with the 37-37-1, which would make this match the tiebreaker.1 point

All of that money (and much more) was re-allocated to LAPD because of people like you who won't stop crying about defunding the police even though they are already significantly *over-funded.* Their budget was increased at their request by $100+ million, which was balanced out by cuts to other social services. Conservatives shouldn't be able to have it both ways. You can't put enormous pressure on the government to cut spending and balance budgets and then complain when the services that can't be funded don't work or aren't built. Plus, as @Le duke has already pointed out, this project, though it's not a bad idea, would not have helped with the fires. Also, Mr. "climate change is a hoax," why do you think we're seeing an increase in catastrophic wildfires? You're the last person who should get to complain about this.1 point

Lack of preparedness? Thanks for your expert analysis. That is what everyone on here is saying. What a load you are. And why were they unprepared? Because the politicians voted in to keep the people safe were derelict in their duty. LA mayor reduced LA fire department budget. Proposition 1 provided for funding reservoirs years ago and nothing has come of it. The state has actively reduced the ability to store water. They have not cleared the fire fuel from the forests and wilderness as they were warned to do . They have been warned for years about this lack of preparedness, yet they did nothing to get better prepared abut actively did things to go the opposite direction. You can't stop a fire coming but there is knowledge out there on how to mitigate its effects and actively fight it effectively. But these were ignored for more important funding initiatives. mspart1 point

I have a question...how is it in this century we have cars that can drive themselves but haven't figured out water pressure issues??1 point
-
oh ffs. you realize they still, at this very moment, need to fight the fires, right? they could use more effin water. wtf are you missing? is this a new concept for you, you pompous prick? Me: they need water solutions LeDuke: you have a lot to learn about wildfires you don't have to be a fuggin Park Ranger to know THEY CURRENTLY NEED WATER whether that water comes from the reservoir they allocated 7b for and never built, or from pump tanks on the beach that they have to yet employ or from the existing system in which they can't adequately pump 'up hill'. the bottom line is it's not ideal, there has been clear failures and yet for some reason you want to sit here and throw up your hands as if there aren't very obvious solutions to at least help the present situation. but no, sit here and tell me i have a lot to learn while you make excuses because you clearly don't have the remedial logic to actually address the topic. blowhard.1 point

This has what to do with fighting the CA fires going on right now? Absolutely nothing. But it has been a go to for RV for years. It holds no water just like the new CA reservoirs do not hold water because they have not been built although allocated. I think you just like to hear yourself type. mspart1 point

It just dawned on me. You have the answer to everything so quickly I can’t comprehend why someone in the gov (state local and federal) haven’t solicited you for your ideas. Food for thought.1 point

Only Iowa, Cornell, and PSU can match that. Cornell makes it on a technicality since they technically had zero in 2021. Iowa's streak is 49 tournaments. Cornell's streak is 20 tournaments. PSU's streak is 14 tournaments. Virginia Tech's streak is 11 tournaments.1 point

Vincenzo Joseph vs Alex Marinelli 3 Hostile environment. One point dual with PSU needing this one for a chance (they lost anyway). Marinelli leads the series 2-0 at this point. Two guys who love the upper body ties. Many upper body ties. Blood. Lots and lots of blood.1 point

Sorted based on projections built from Intermat rankings. Top 20 listed What seems crazy to me is who is not listed. A year after they were the odds on favorite to finish second based on NCAA seeds, NC State is all the way down to 21 this week. And relatedly the All-American projections: I am assuming everyone will want the over on PSU 6.7. Not much I can do there until the freshmen get a few more bouts under their belt and they settle into their likely seed spot.1 point

I'm anti-poaching of guys who weren't looking to transfer, and I'm anti recruiting-over of homegrown guys who put in the time and achieved a high degree of success. I have been, and will continue to be, vocally critical of any and every coach/program that does that. The fact that these abhorrent practices happen to overlap with my general dislike of Iowa is mere fortuity.1 point
