  4. This table attempts to break down major differences in progressive (left) and conservative (right) values on government, society, and personal responsibility. It attempts to show how each side sees key issues, from justice to individual rights. Is it accurate? My hope is to understand views to have a better discussion of where someone is coming from. This does not cover traditional liberalism, which differs from modern leftism. For example, John F. Kennedy, a liberal Democrat, believed that fundamental freedoms were rights granted by God rather than the state. When I think of Democrats today, my first thought is that the majority are now the progressive left portrayed in the media. Is that true?

  5. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/42286584/vanderbilt-qb-diego-pavia-suing-ncaa-eligibility-rules Once the courts decided that college athletes were essentially professional athletes and could get paid, it was obvious that the next thing to be challenged would be the eligibility rules. The Vanderbilt QB, who has no NFL potential, is suing to get back eligibility for the years he spent at community college. Does anybody think it's likely that the courts eventually get rid of the 4 year competition limit and possibly even allow professional athletes to reenter NCAA competition? Will we look back at NCAA athletes who only competed for four years similarly to how we see athletes from the time of Dan Gable and Hodge who only competed for 3? Maybe Max Dean was ahead of his time.

  15. Based The leftist freaking out have their entire world system based on emotion. When you question the world as they know it, it feels like their world is ending. It is terrifying to them. It is not a matter of intelligence. It is psychological. They cannot see past the brainwashing and propaganda. All you can do is try to love someone as they are, meet them where the are, acknowledge their fears, and be patient. You are the sober person in a room full of drunks.

  17. Cry my a river. There was never any value to be destroyed, just perceived value by investors with too much money. The real loser is the climate. We only have one earth, climate change is real, and if we keep pissing away investment dollars to chase more dollars instead of investing in making our planet habitable for our grandchildren and their grandchildren, then we're doing it wrong. Billionaires keep dying with billions in the bank. Does anyone need a better definition of greed? More money than they could spend but little investment to improve the place that brought them life and the only place where humanity can survive. And the earth continues to slowly get sicker. It's turned into some kind of joke about "greenies." Laugh it up. But your great-great-great-grandchildren won't be laughing. And we will have left them with no options to turn to. This earth is the only one we have. After it is too sick - everyone dies. Forever.

  25. I reassured her and tried to address each of her concerns directly. We discussed how the media often exaggerates or misleads, and I shared Trump’s stance on abortion, his record, and what he’s actually done, legally speaking. Medical care for the health of the mother is legal in all states, and natural miscarriages aren’t treated as criminal acts, etc. I offered her $1,000 if I’m proven wrong on any of this, with one request in return: a chance to sit down together in a few months and look at the facts as they really are.

  29. I know! It was crazy and very close if Luuuke had decided to press the issue. Please note that I cropped the screengrab in that photo because the score box was getting in the way, but both feet were off the ground. The ILLINI ended up with 5 hammers, but one was for Caelan Riley in Pool D. I think he's at a minimum a Pool C wrestler, more likely, Pool B. Smart move by the coach to give him some confidence. I don't know how long Ramazan Attasauov will be out of the lineup, although he did make the trip. Lucas Byrd, Danny Pucino, Kannon Webster and Braeden Scoles went undefeated and won Pool A hammers, and they are all still undefeated on the season. That's gonna be a Murderer's Row. Zac Braunagel had a one-point loss in the finals to Michael Beard. That score was reversed when they met two years ago in the NCAA tournament. All in all, superb weekend for ILLINOIS. I only watched about 15 matches before I had to take an Old Man's Nap. One of the biggest sports days of the year for the ILLINI wrestling team, and I couldn't make it. Well, I'll get to see the rest of the matches now. NOTE: ILLINI Wrestling fans have some MMA coming up. Johnny Mologousis and Matt Wroblewski are going to be on the same fight card in about one week. More info on that incoming. This'll be a debut for Wroblewski, while Mologousis has already been wrecking guys and winning belts. Cheers!
