Levi struggled to make 157 as soph. He barely had the energy to finish early season matches. He looked like Bouzakis did in some of his 125 matches. Levi's jump wasn't difficult. I'm not sure if it is the same for Cannon. Dispassionate Penn State grad and fan.

Or add a 220 class and change 285 back to heavyweight. A wrestler might think twice about bumping to heavyweight if Chris Taylor was waiting for him - or even someone with the strength and size of a major college / NFL lineman.

Here’s one: Michael Gasper from Little Rock. As a 197 in 2024, he lost to a guy who didn’t even place in D2. This season as a heavyweight he had wins over multiple previous D1 national qualifiers and was a 1-0 loss to Trevor Tinker away from qualifying himself.
