In regards to West Virginia:  Anyone chance they chase a potential 157lber and Watters goes up (again)?

Doubtful. Watters was already less dynamic on top then he was at 149 going up another weight a year later isn’t going to help that. I’ve heard a 165 transfer is top priority and they have a few coming in to visit

I've read that Gallagher is looking for another year and a transfer...

If he’s looking for a payday I don’t think West Virginia is a match they don’t have resources like that but if he’s looking for a spot to wrestle with a certified good coach and some real good practice partners (Watters and Peyton Hall) I think he’d be a great get

25 or transfer...

Is Kilkeary a career 125er and do you think he slots in nicely here/what do you consider his outlook to be this coming season if he gets the spot? Do you think they desire Bouzakis at 125, or is this a nuanced way of giving Bouzakis a firm handshake (“125, 133 is filled and 141 is being filled…125 or nothing”)?

I assume with McCrone going in the portal that Bouzakis has decided to give 125 another go or is still wait and see?

Can't forget Kilkeary. Let's be real no way Bouzakis is making 125 again unless he is trying to kill himself

Bouzakis will be at 141 since Mendez graduated.

Kilkeary could be a career 125 but all any of this tells us is we have a hole at 125 that we didn’t necessarily expect. If it wasn’t Bouzakis the answer was always McCrone but when McCrone entered the portal realization hit that your third best option last year might be your starter this year…not good. Kilkeary has proven to be very inconsistent in his opportunities. Truth is no one knows anything and Davino could be planning on bumping up and all these conversations would be moot.

Davino is staying at 133. He has no reason bump up.

I don’t think Davino should move up either…been pushing back on that all offseason when people mention it.

Don’t forget Mills and Munaretto coming in at 125. I could see Mills going out the gate.

I didn’t forget them but they shouldn’t be the answer. From all reports I’ve seen Mills is dealing with something…likely fatigue (weight cut/season) but he would benefit from a RS. Dom would be more college ready (I think at least) but again Davino took a RS and Dom is basically a carbon copy. It would benefit him as well.

Yes and fun to watch rivalry between him and Jax. I'm looking forward to it

Why are they bringing 141 pounders in for visits then? Like Fugitt?

You think Cam could contend at 165? My initial thought was to bump Shapiro if he came on, for a few reasons; he’s a known commodity and likely to perform similar to past seasons even up a weight class, and I don’t think Catrabone looked impressively large at 157 last season, so I’d assume him to be a smaller 165 pounder, and I think that would pose issues for him, despite his Ben Askren-esque style. Pure guesswork on my end tho

I think both get bullied at 165lbs.  They're too small.  Catrabone would have a punches chance, whereas Shapiro is just really damned good.  Pick your poison

It isn't one year later.  It is two.

I agree as far as his top game.

Was just curious if that were something that might be in the works.
