Basch is one of the most annoying human beings I've listened to consistently. He's a "look at all these cool Penn State wrestlers I am friends with" guy. He's the dude in the friend group that when you find $5 on the ground, he says "That's cool but one time I found $10." Willie saved his show IMO, and is the only reason I listen to it. If Basch does a solo interview with an athlete or coach, I'm out. 

Actually, @Husker_Du just go back to doing The First Word solo please. That would solve my problems. 

I have grown to like him quite a bit, when I first started listening it came off a bit like he was not informed enough and just liked the guys he represents but the more I have watched and listened I really think he is trying his best to grow the sport and is really quite the super fan as well. I think Willie and Basch play well off of each other too. My personal favorite episodes are the ones with Fellers.

I like him. The only thing I'd say about him is that he seems to clearly have inside info and just never shares it. Willie does

Yea everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I won't try to persuade anyone one way or the other. I will say, I think he's a really good guy. A religious family man. So I respect that. Just not a fan of his podcasting.

Right there with you, it amazes me how uninformed he appears to be or how little he knows across the landscape for his platform.  I swear all his knowledge comes from Willie and he can't lead a discussion on his own.  I always got the "inexplicably got the invite to the cool kids table at lunch one day and now he can't stop telling everyone about it" vibe with the name dropping and "that's my guy" stuff
