I watched his USA wrestling interview and he said, "I don't know when my next competition will be" Which to me sounds like a guy that is not adhering to a high school schedule because of course then he would know that.

Maybe I'm biased but I took it as "I guess it will have to be the US Open because I got absolutely HOSED in my bronze match and I should be sitting until Final X."

Or it could mean that he just ran through a senior circuit schedule and threw a U23 peak on top so maybe he will take a break before coming back to win state at 174. The calendar he took on takes a huge physical toll, especially at the lower weights. I know that kids wrestle year-round and he has been in and out of OSU, but peaking for senior tournaments with senior partners is a very different beast. We expect our senior athletes to take a break so why wouldn't we do the same for a high school senior?
