Keuter is having hip surgery which means he's going to miss an entire season of football.  It seems given his trajectory (starting 0 games so far and now missing a whole season) he's done with football, which is sad because as a 4 star recruit playing LB for Iowa, which has produced a ton of NFL draft picks at the position, he seemed destined to be playing on Sundays.

The good news for wrestling fans is Ben will be 100% dedicated to wrestling going forward which means he will probably win at least 1 NCAA title!

This isn't true.  Nowhere was this stated anywhere.

It's speculation on my part, but seems the likely outcome.  He has barely seen the football field in his college career but will have wrestled 3 full season by the end of next season.

I think Keuter is gonna be the next kyle dake

It may cost pro dreams, but it also may help them. He has three years of wrestling left and he will also be able to use 2025 as a medical RS for football leaving him with three years over there too. His trap will be senior wrestling season - he can't play spring ball if he wrestles, and if he wants to have any shot whatsoever at the NFL then he will need to dedicate whatever time he has left. It seems very unfair to punish the very rare athlete of his caliber with the sport restrictions. Once again, death to the NCAA.

He's a tweener in football. He'd probably ride the bench his whole time at Iowa.

You think he's going to go to a different weight each year? It's already too late to win 4 titles.

What does that mean?  Not hating but when I think of Dake I think 4xer, went up every year in college, stuck behind a legend on the international scene before breaking through and winning worlds.     Kueter can be a world champ but curious why you used Dake as the comp?

Maybe he takes a Stephen Neal approach? Gable made a pre season roster. As did Coon. Why can’t Kueter, a guy with heavy experience on the field, do the same as them at the bare minimum if he so desired

Iowas head football coach talked about Ben's opportunity with wrestling. It almost gave the vibe like he wants him to pursue that rather than football.

What exactly was the medical issue with his hip?

Potentially related to ileofemoral, pubofemoral, ischifemoral ligaments.  Potentially inguinal or sacrospinous ligaments.  Or obturator membrane or femoral head.

How exact do you want?  Let’s get his Ortho on here.

Wondering more along the lines of whether it could've been an old football injury or a wrestling injury. Recovery in time for next season?

4-8 months depending on the surgery. Report I saw was he would be back November -which is more like the 8 months. Hip surgery is a tough recovery.  Some wrestlers I have known have done the hip surgery and were not 100% the entire next season.

So...YOU'RE making this announcement on behalf of Kueter, is that correct?

Based on his..."trajectory?"

Based on his current trajectory?

Why are you Jimmy? I get with the Penn State stuff, you're bored and trolling, but what is the point of this? We all know he is hurt and not playing next year. Definitely doesn't mean he's done with Football...but sure.

Going 6 years deep here only hurts him in the NFL, it doesn't help him.

If he's a 6'4 MLB who weights 235...with his length and his speed, if he comes back his 4th year and he's playing regularly for Iowa...which will be tougher given they have recruited that weight really well, then he will get a chance in the NFL. Not saying he'll be a high pick, but he'll get a chance.

Are we doing the Jimmy thing here or are we serious? Because I think he's a prototypical off-ball LB. He's Jack Campbell size and faster if the speed listed is right(though presumably not in the weeks following the surgery).
