Bleeding will not stop for Campbell. How late can guys transfer? Was Aug 1st the Deadline. Or are there no rules anymore really 🙂

When a new head coach is named they have 30 days to enter the portal.

*Reverse transfer alert*

Wrestlestat is reporting that Hogan Swenski is back on the Ohio State roster, and no longer transferred to Rider.

We saw this last year with Sam Ewing committing to Nebraska and Max Elton committing to Lock Haven, before Donny Vinson got the Buffalo job, and both wrestlers went back to Buffalo.

Blake Schaeffer was also reported to transfer from Kent State to Cleveland State, but with the latter school closing its program, he went back to Kent State.

Last I heard he was waiting on a class but that was a while ago and first session summer classes would be over... and I think second session would be ending right about now. Going to assume NCSU fell through

Yes your assumption is correct.  The parties have moved on.

Man it feels like Campbell lost more guys than Cleveland St . . . that ain't good

Campbell has had 18 enter the portal and 13 of them have found new homes.  Cleveland State has had 29 enter the portal with 18 of them finding new homes.  But yes both are quite extreme.  Sad to see.

Ethan Ducca who came to Wyoming via Edinboro, was previously committed to Campbell but has shifted his commitment to Bloomsburg.  Stutzman has been one of the most active coaches in the transfer portal and brought in the following haul who are all projected as starters:

125: Jace Schafer (West Virginia)
141: Michael Giugliano (Buffalo)
149: Cael Raines (Buffalo)
165: Eric Alderfer (Lock Haven)
174: Braidon Woodward (Buffalo)
184: Ethan Ducca (Wyoming, Edinboro)
197: Coy Raines (Buffalo)

But the star of the portal is Josh Moore.  Went from the coach of cancelled program to the coach of another MAC Ohio program.  He hired Devin Schroeder and brought in the most new transfers in all of college wrestling this year, while also retaining several of their own portal entries.

and from what we've heard about the situation at Campbell I get it and why they are all relocating but they were a really feisty and scrappy SoCon team for a bit there; genuine tough outs top to bottom - I made a point to always have an eye on the Campbell kids at NCAAs cause they wouldn't go down easy and could pull an upset.

really a bummer they'll be a shell of that to no fault of the wrestling program itself
