Tommy Brands is under contract until 2029 - if the information I read is correct.

The ferrari boys are a problem that brings out the reality that they are desperate. Trying to bring in talent that are saddled with known problems that can tarnish the school and program.

So, will Iowa administration buy out their conntracts?

It isn't as if we are talking football coaches. Like Texas A&M paying $75 million to buy out the contract of Jimbo Fisher. Texas dumped Tom Heman and it cost them $15 million. Auburn's 2020 buyout of football coach Gus Malzahn cost $21.7 million.

Compared to these T&T would be cheap to pay to disappear.

So, does Iowa do it or continue as they are, giving the school & NCAA wrestling a black eye?

Unless there is  just cause for firing. Technically AJF was not a member of the Iowa program this weekend.... but that doesn't mean that there won't be a future incident that could qualify.

Second best coaching staff in college getting fired over something someone not on the team did? Nope.

This is true but its also true T&T were recruiting FF&F and the the two Fs and the Gabe were all coached by Iowa coaches.  But no they won't get fired yet.

Oh and how much NIL $s were spent on the F clan and how many hours of academic resources wasted to get them admitted?  But no not fireable offenses but all this was known and T&T went down this path anyway.

If anything, being connected to the Ferraris after this incident makes TT even more culpable if something else happens. This incident would easily be used as ammo for just cause if there is another incident down the road. If there is another incident after joining Iowa, will the AD have the balls to fire TT and end their Iowa legacy?

If we thought otherwise don't you think we'd be over on the football forum?  🤷‍♀️

Can you point me to where Alex Marinelli, Sorenson and Dennis are listed here?

RTC’s technically have no affiliation with the school.  I think that’s silly and they should, but they don’t.

Technically sure ... but we all know.  Where did these three learn their wrestling and coaching skills. If there's no affiliation then how did the Fs get the connection, why does it appear the RTC is a stepping stone to get on the roster.  Or maybe F&F were just there doing freestyle camps and thought it'd be really fun to sign up for this tough folkstyle Iowa intersquad tournament.  🙄

"for cause" is as simple as most anything those in charge want to say it is. Not winning more NCAA Titles is more than enough. Look at Jim Zalesky.

Look at a number of the football and basketball coaches who were bought out. Paid to leave. Paid millions..., and Tens of millions.

If Iowa management wants them gone a Contract Buyout is simple.

Yeah, as HWC Board Advisor, Brands should probably tell the HWC that it was a bad idea to allow AJ to train with them

Did he? How long has AJ been training there? I'm just curious if you have any specific knowledge on the subject

I guess maybe we don’t know for sure, but why else would they coach him?  HWC did tweet about having “room in the garage” for another Ferrari at one point

But if they are just training freestyle at HWC then why would the 2xF enter the low level folkstyle salute tourney?

Yes, I imagine “RTC’s only train freestyle” could be a sham too

It will only be an issue for the AD if it's an issue for the alumni boosters.

Not if he does at Iowa what he was accused of doing at OSU. Then they have a lawsuit situation for bringing him on campus and will all get fired.

I mean, Dresser and Schwab both went to Iowa, too. (not to mention Gilman, Metcalf, Ramos, St. John).

If anything, Terry gets canned for calling a DI head coach of another school a "big p*ss". That's not a good look. But I don't see them getting canned because of the Ferrari situation. In fact I bet we still AJ in a Hawk singlet this year.
