No real rules or guidelines, just thought it might stir some good convo up about guys not on the rosters we cheer for. I figured I’d keep it to currently eligible guys, but it’s more about the discussion and chats either way.

As a Michigan fan, this used to be Mendez for me. He was easy to watch wrestle and I liked his style. Over the last year it’s transitioned to Davino. As much as it sucks to watch these guys trash my own team, it’s hard not to appreciate high level, quality wrestling.

Anyone else have one?

Least Favorite Team is probably Penn State but it would change to whoever happened to be the heavy favorite in a given era.  Nothing particularly personal - it's more of rooting for underdog stories and smaller programs.

Favorite wrestler on Penn State for me is Kasak or Desmond

Right now it's Penn St with some of the stuff coming out with a couple past wrestlers. Can't say I am mad to see Nagao end the way he did. After starting well with Minnesota and putting out videos of basically god telling him too crap when he was chasing money and status. Serves him well.

So who is your favorite wrestler on Penn State then?

Same. Jesse is my dude. Love Davino , he was my pick to win 133 before Jax transferred in.

I like Feldman too

Wisconsin is one of two teams I actively root against and it was Hamiti easily when he was in Madison.  I guess by default it's Amos now cause who else would it be on the current roster . . .

The other team I strongly dislike is Cornell and it's probably Joy there but I would like to see more of Jude Correa too.

Irrationally proud former WPIAL wrestler

Oh boy this is a fantastic topic…and tough. Since there are no Ohioans on the roster I will go with Zepeda…you hate to see anyone get injured but a guy of that caliber especially…you just want to see him recover well. Against anyone except a Buckeye…

Gabe Arnold.  Ultimate team player and advocate for Mental Health.  Truly inspirational, even though he's a Hawkeye, LOL.

this take is so bad....complete me guy. Tried to wrestle at 184 when he belonged at 174 for like two years, get bullied by his teammates up to 197 and luckily has a great draw at nationals. He did the right thing for the team after exhausting every other option. You can call me cynical as long as your admit the inverse opinion lacks some context.

As far as liking his wrestling....no one does.

He's done a bunch of other gross things but i'll leave that aside.

As far as the topic....I don't really have a least favorite team unless wanting PSU to lose makes them my least favorite, which i don't think it does....after I saw chris perry wrestle anthony valencia I realized I liked him a lot after really disliking him and OSU for a long time.

I am meanest to tOSU and loved Stieber(but who cares everyone did).

Prob couldn't start at 174 either and didn't have a great draw at nationals.  What did he place at Big 10?

jog my memory on this end?

Calling out Carter Starocci every year when he wasn't good enough to get into a bracket with him, letalone make it to him. IMHO he was making the call outs because he knew the match wouldn't happen. Attention seeking grossness.

IDK you may well be right about the draw in general, I was basing it on the fact that he placed, which might be a stupid way to do it.

But thats really just my two cents, I'm not gonna extend this discussion, if anyone thinks my take sucks thats fine.

Messssssenbrink. Hard to deny the guy's awesomeness on the mat.

he's actually kinda jumped the shark though...getting a bit flanderized with the singing and whining about not being happy enough.
