Winners Circle Posted May 15 Posted May 15 With Vega speculated to move up to 149, and the two new transfers coming in, what's everyone think the Cowboys lineup looks like next year? I'm guessing: 125: Spratley 133: Jax 141: Swiderski or Raney (either one) 149: Serge 157: Robideau 165: Swiderski or Dee or Facundo 174: Norman 184: Berge 197: Merrill 285: Dreshaun I think the best lineup is Swids down at 141 and Dee at 165, but I'm not sure if Swids can make that weight and be effective. I think the odd men out for sure are: Rocklin Zinkin (I think he's the clear heir apparent to 125 after Spratley is done though), Ronnie Ramirez, one of the Raney's, and Facundo. Other possible odd men out are: other Raney, Swiderski, and Dee. I think it's safe to say that OKST has officially become Penn State West. Lot of really good guys for not a lot of weights.

lu1979 Posted May 17 Posted May 17 I am guessing Jax will move up to 141 next year.. If he makes the WT this year I think it will be his last time at 61Kg. I expect that he has his sights set on a Gold Medal in LA. If he does a year at 141 for college will let him go for the WT in 27 at 65kg and if he medals there he is in the finals for the Olympic spot. Just a guess but time will tell. If the smaller Raney can make 133 he will probably compete with RR for that spot. The larger Raney may be SOL if Jax Vega & Landon spend the next 4 years at 141, 149 & 157. That is to far out to project though as you can never tell how these young guys will grow. 1

He made 55kg last year and I think if he can gut out making 125 for a year something to the nature of the following would be their best lineup to push PSU. juniorvarsity Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Jayden Raney wrestled 132 lbs in 2025 high school season. Made the Greco World Team that 2025 summer at 55kg(121 lbs). Then he was back at 132 lbs at Iron Man last season. Kentucky high school season he was at 144 lbs, but you gotta go with his Iron Man weight to make an assumption on his true size. Maybe he can make 125 if he walks around at 140.

So I think he goes 133 next year and 41 the year after I think he goes 65 in 2027 unless they changed the criteria I believe that allows him to sit to the finals if he medals. none Olympic weights allow you to sit to the semis? I believe Snyder and Taylor sat in the finals and Zain sat to the semis in 2024 because he got a medal at 70. I am the personal property of VakAttack
juniorvarsity Posted May 20 Posted May 20 I'm only used to weight changes from medalists in Olympic years, but if I recall, there would be no advantages to being a medalist at 61kg in 2026 and getting any sort of advantages in the wualification weprocess at 65kg in 2027. Who's the last person to medal and change weights in a non-olympic yesr? Cox is the only person that comes to mind.
