  1. Past hour
  2. You know it's bad when C.P. is skeptical on a public format. I'm not faulting Flo for being hesitant to make comments, but when nothing concrete has come out and Pyles is essentially saying this doesn't look good.. you know it really doesn't look good.
  3. Don't care much about which political party. But I do, fiercely, believe in morality, honesty, ethics, principles, and integrity. In what way do you somehow think I don't?
  4. You absolutely win this one. I'm shocked - I did not see this coming. Not sure how to explain it. Jake Paul at #14 by the WBA. It's not without controversy, but that doesn't change the fact that you were right, and I was wrong. (Not something you see posters say around here much - but they really should far more often. It's OK to be wrong.)
  5. @Undefeated A common attitude here is that if it gets uncomfortable enough, the Iranians will change their leadership, one way or another. We know from past experience that if we do it for you, it will create chaos and resentment for us. Even when your economy is down your leadership spends exorbitantly on terrorism and nuclear weapons . That’s what we want to stop. So our gov’t tries to keep them pinched down as much as possible. The average American doesn’t hold ill will for the average Iranian, or average Russian, or average Chinaman, but until we figure out how to get by without governments, we’re the ones stuck holding the bag.
  6. Even the people that the Islamic Republic presents as “nuclear scientists” — and some of whom were killed by Israel in this conflict — are, in reality, not nuclear scientists at all. Most of them don’t do any scientific or research-based work. They’re involved in operational or logistical tasks related to Iran’s nuclear programs or affiliated projects. Just because someone has a degree in physics and works with the Islamic Republic doesn’t make them a nuclear scientist. Many of these individuals haven’t published a single scientific paper in any reputable physics journal or related field. The Islamic Republic calls a bunch of loyal operatives “nuclear scientists” simply to gain public sympathy and rally people behind them.

  8. About the bombing of the nuclear sites , Trump had pushed Khamenei into a corner, close to collapse, and then made a deal with them: We’ll bomb your nuclear sites, and you, in order to maintain your authority among your domestic supporters, will carry out a symbolic attack on our military base in Qatar — a completely controlled and limited strike. In the end, I believe all three — Israel, the U.S., and the Islamic Republic — achieved their goals. Israel eliminated senior IRGC commanders and, with U.S. help, at least temporarily got rid of Iran’s enriched uranium stockpiles. Meanwhile, the Islamic Republic used the crisis to unify the country internally for the first time in a long while. They arrested many political opponents under the pretext of “collaboration with Israel,” and doubled the price of essential goods and staples in the country. Even the deaths of military commanders didn’t actually harm the regime. Those commanders weren’t experts — in Iran, senior military positions are handed out based on loyalty to Khamenei (and in my opinion, to Putin), not based on any real military skill or experience. They’re just a bunch of unqualified, loyal enforcers. The regime easily replaced them with other loyalists. Over the course of just two weeks, prices of basic goods like eggs, groceries, everything doubled in Iran. The result of the war: all the governments profited — and ordinary people paid the price.
  9. Surely we should short the market now before the plunge? It's gotta tank and go full bore depression.
  10. can you explain what this means?
  11. crazy. you'd think the real journalists in iowa would have gotten to the bottom of this already. maybe they're still working on the story of who really shot Sam Stoll.
  12. The measure will be whether or not innocent people end up there. If people end up there for no other reason than they are foreign, then you might be onto something. If it’s strictly the illegals (they’re saying just the violent illegals but we’ll see about that), then it’s simply a detention center while they await their hearing. Supposedly there is going to be judge, maybe judges, on site to get to these hearings efficiently. That, too, will be interesting to see if comes to fruition.
  13. Adorable, angry, and obviously confused.
  14. I think @Undefeated comes in peace boss. He has a perspective we cannot comprehend. I think it’s important to listen to it. People may not agree bur I think we should listen.
  15. Bahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahahha. E ooooo eeeeeeeeeeeee
  16. Bahahahahahhahahahhahahahhahahahahahahahahha and a registered liar
  17. It would be pretty crappy for Iowa not to comment. Hopefully they will eventually. Maybe now Brands will learn to wrestle his best team. If they started Arnold as a true freshman they may have been able to get 2nd. And now he’ll be scoring zero points for them.
  18. About the 1979 hostage crisis — I assume you’re referring to the U.S. Embassy incident. You probably know that many of the sanctions the U.S. has imposed on Iran are because of that event. And you likely also know that these sanctions mainly hurt ordinary Iranian people — people who not only had no role in the hostage-taking, but many of whom were actually opposed to those extremists. I have a question for those who still support sanctions on Iranian civilians because of that incident. Do you know this person: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohammad-Reza_Khatami He was one of the people involved in taking Americans hostage. He has two daughters — Narges and Leila. Narges currently lives in the UK, and Leila lives in the U.S.! And how about this person — do you know her? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masoumeh_Ebtekar She was also one of the hostage-takers. This photo shows her during that time: https://rooziato.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/12788-768x432.jpg And this next one shows her years later, still stepping on the American flag: https://rooziato.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/unnamed-2.jpg Now take a look at this picture — it’s her son. Can you guess where he lives? The United States. https://rooziato.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/no_title__930x510_q85_box-310784390_crop_subsampling-2_upscale-2-768x421.jpg You probably haven’t heard of this person either: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Habibollah_Bitaraf He was also involved in taking Americans hostage — one of the more dangerous ones. Now click the link below — it’s his daughter’s page at the Virginia Tech Advanced Research Institute: https://ari.vt.edu/ari_people/hamideh_bitaraf.html If I wanted to list all the hostage-takers and their children who now live in the U.S., it would be a very long list. So now I have a simple question: Why is it that the families and children of the hostage-takers are allowed to live in America — but I, who oppose those hostage-takers, am sanctioned in Iran?
  19. Gabe was a freshman last year up a weight. I think he has potential to be an all American threat at his ideal weight. With 3 years of eligibility left that's a tough loss.
  20. Did anyone wrestling "journalist" reach out to Coach Cael? Why is cstar not involved with nlwc? How's Davis doing? Any word on Gilman? Have you prayed with Kyle Snyder in your basement? Are you aware of the Snapchat nude pictures taken by cstar of his teammates? We heard their was rape allegations? Any word on that? Was this fun you guys always talk about? Or are we just fan boy "journalists"
  21. Blood Alcohol Concentration ...and like I said before, not a great look to have an RTC coach with such blatant disdain for USADA rules. If I were an admin at PSU, not the type of guy I would want to have around my athletes.
  22. i don't know if this is a clarification or not, but rest assured you're supposed to be under fire.
  23. That was me. I know a Big J journalist who was/is looking into it. Mentioned there was an ESPN reporter too but didn't say who or what type so I can't provide any more than that generic statement which I asked was okay to even say. No clue if anything came about or will come out since that's not my lane. The quote that stuck with me was "if there's smoke, there's fire. Penn State better be careful with their fires."
