  1. He wrestled 65 kg this weekend. I don't see him cutting an addition 18.3 lbs, making it on a consistent basis, and being any kind of effective.
  2. Penn State lost two age level world medalists. No other team can say that, to my knowledge.
  3. Shock to me. Kid was top 15 in the country in HS.
  4. This was my whole point. Thanks for better clarifying my thought(s).
  5. If you're referring to me, that was not my intention whatsoever. I have zero insight on the situation. I more so meant the OP to be an indictment on Mizzou than on Todd himself. If Todd didn't do anything wrong/bad behind the scenes, and the fired him a week before NCAAs, that's not right IMO and should have been handled differently.
  6. So, in other words, Mizzou feels like he's not a good coach. You should have added that into the statement about him being nice. But that still doesn't make sense as to why they would let him go a week before NCAAs. Why not just wait until after the season is over if this was a performance based decision?
  7. I feel like this whole statement is a contradiction of itself. If he's a great guy, super friendly, etc. why/how has been letting him go "been in the works for quite some time"?
  8. Don't sleep on Smith. I've been very high on for a long time. I know he was a bit undersized coming out of HS. But if he put on some weight he could be a solid option imo.
  9. Not sure if this was a previous topic or discussed on previous thread. So I apologize if it was. Any fans have any insight as to why Mizzou parted ways with Tyrel Todd the week between B12s and NCAAs? Teams don't generally let associate head coaches go midseason, let alone the week before NCAAs, unless something happened behind the scenes. If it was a performance issue it seems like you'd just part ways after the season.
  10. I think he's a victim of the coaching staff's he's had tbh. I think he could have AA'd under different circumstances. Could be wrong though. You know him far better than I do.
  11. He never has. But I think as some point you have to start the blue chipper, given as McCrone has done nothing with two NCAA trips.
  12. Yes, I read it in early HS. Good read.
  13. I think OP was looking at high school results. But I was looking more at the college results after the fact.
  14. I know you're a Hawk expert. Or much more than myself. Is Metcalf/Slaton/Borschel one of the best of TnT era?
  15. He is 2 for 2 as of right now.
  16. Retroactively speaking, Metcalf/Slaton/Borschel was impressive. Off the top of my head, they combined for 3 titles and 2 runner-up finishes. Maybe not the same firepower coming out of high school though.
  17. If so, lose Fishback, and add TJ (who's 2-1 against Fishback and every match is razor close) isn't a bad deal for NC State.
  18. Very knowledgeable about whatever program he's interviewing too. Guy does his research.
  19. If he's on their team, he isn't on someone else's.
  20. I see your point here, but I think even solid is pushing it. Just this season he had losses to: Jared Hill, Cobe Seibrecht, James Conway, and Charlie Millard. Maybe we define 'solid' differently, however. But we definitely agree he hasn't lived up to the hype.
  21. When did this happen? Did I miss it?
  22. I'm not sure a sucked down Facundo beats Robideau/TT/Jamison.
