    Idk if anyone caught this, but excellent troll job here @Coastal. One of the funniest things I've ever read on this board. For reference to anyone who didn't pick up on it, Penn State put 5 on the U20 team (Iowa put 0) and Penn State put 7 on the U23 team (Iowa put 0).

    I understand what you're getting at. But OU has been bad long enough that the donors and alum are sick of the "give it some time" outlook. Is that their own fault for the hires they've made, probably, but that doesn't change the fact that they want to win now, not "in time".

    They finished 23rd in 2024 and 38th this year. Would you be happy with that much of a regression? And if your argument is, "well they lost Buchanan to the portal", I'd counter with being able to retain your athletes (especially the elite ones) is the most important part of the job.

    Not an AJ fan in the slightest. In fact, the opposite. I think he deserves every bit of bad karma he gets. That being said, UNC just had a basketball player arrested for sexual misconduct a month ago, they have a 70+ y/o Bill Belichick running the FB program while dating a 24ish year old, and who knows how many FB players have had legal issues. So to say AJ bring "too much baggage" seems hypocritical.
