  1. So Mirasola's biggest accomplishment to you is a match he ALMOST won and got a single takedown in? Yea, you're right, you absolutely were a scrub based on this thought process.
  2. Lmao. Everyone getting mad because I said exactly what FloWrestling and Intermat said when they ranked Barr #21/#23 following these wins. Barr is really good. But these wins don't justify him being ranked top 10. Just give him time.
  3. Didn't he have a shot and he lost it in wrestle-offs? Wouldn't you rather McCallister over him (since he beat him)?
  4. To this point, following the Black Knight Invite, FloWrestling has Barr ranked #21 and InterMat has him #23. The two biggest ranking services must be "very hard to impress".
  5. It's better than yours I promise you that
  6. Can someone who's a Univ. of Wisconsin fan chime in and let me know what the incoming recruiting class(es) look like?
  7. ***I heard from my cousin's roommate's physical therapist's mother-in law that Spratley drinks water, not gatorade, at practice. The guy is really locked in.*** I mean come on. Of f*cking course the guy is not scared to go with anyone. You can say that about any D1 guy ranked in the top 20 of any weight class.
  8. No too mention the obvious abuse he went through at home during his childhood. I think he was dealt a bad hand from the start.
  9. I don't hate that. I think it's safe to say Carter Young is not where people thought he'd be at this point of his career. I agree that I was impressed with Cutter this weekend. Lost a close one to a ranked guy then blew the doors off the ASU kid (who is a backup). But I was impressed with his effort/output in both matches, and that was a weight up from his natural weight.
  10. Major decisions over a lifetime backup and a kid fresh out of high school? Not impressive to me. I think Barr is going to be (or already is) really good. But I don't think either of these wins say anything.
  11. Oh you mean Younger Bautista.
  12. Great film. As for your question, I'd say very limited, if at all. Chance admitted that he was doing a variety of drugs in HS. And I doubt JWS ever encouraged him to do (more) drugs.
  13. Got hurt. Lower body injury.
  14. Mensenbrick would be a tough matchup for anyone, even Younger Bastida.
  15. Maybe, but I bet Gable Stevenson would have never stepped away from the sport.
  16. Not at Iowa
  17. Pretty sure they had one national champ last year and it wasn't either of those guys.
  18. Means a lot coming from you brother.
  19. Eh. I'd argue the opposite. When you're dealing with a situation where you're shrinking your body, it's a process that takes time. And the longer you do it, the easier it gets (unless you let yourself balloon up after every weigh-in). When you cut way down, make it once, let yourself balloon up, and then try to cut back down an extended time period later, that's harder on the body IMO.
  20. Tariq Wilson sucked down to 133 for a few years too. Then finished his career a stud 149.
  21. Love Roark. Coached him some over the years. Good friends with his older brother Will. Brady is a great kid. Excited about his future.
  22. 125: Walker/Surtin fall over Riley. 6-0 133: Byrd maj dec. Moore. 6-4 141: Pucino dec. Edmond. 7-6 149: Webster maj dec. Gioffre. 11-6 157: Kraisser fall over Conway. 17-6 165: Steed maj dec. Scoles. 17-10 174: KOT maj dec. Braunagel. 17-14 184: Hawks dec. Ruth 17-17 197: Braunagel maj dec. 21-17 285: Luffman dec. Nitzel 24-17
  23. Basch posted preseeds on Rokfin.
  24. I'd be willing to bet we see Camacho go up to 133. No way you can take Vincent out with what he's done just 3 weeks into season.
