  1. I think the individual tournament is the best way to determine the best team. You should be rewarded for having guys that are extremely dominant. If Penn State wrestles Arizona State, and Pierson Manville pins Aaron Nagao, and Mitchell Mesenbrink pins Nico Ruiz, you cannot convince me that it is a fair representation of a team to say that Mitchell Mesenbrink is worth the same value as Pierson Manville.
  2. So you want a dual championship to make the landscape more competitive then. And 2018.
  3. 125: Calling that a coin flip is laughable. Could Bouzakis win, absolutely. But it's nowhere near a coin flip. 133: Although I disagree, I'll let you have that one. 141: TF for Mendez. 149: Agree. 157: Duke's inexperience? He wrestled in 3 world championships this year alone. What issues does he have making weight? He made 154 (70 kg) how many times this summer? Lmao. 165: TF for MM. 174: Agree. 184: Agree. 197: Agree. If it's Barr I see a MD. 285: Agree. I have final score 26-8 (27-8 if it's Barr).
  4. The individual tourney is first.
  5. Playing devil's advocate here, but is it possible that it barely gets acknowledged currently because it's not been competitive? I remember being at NCAAs in Cleveland back in 2018 I think it was, when Penn State and Ohio State were neck and neck, and there was definitely a buzz around the arena involving the team race.
  6. Chad Richison (Paycom guy) is from Oklahoma. I don't see it leaving Tulsa. At least until someone else ponies up the money. Additionally, the All-Star Classic was at Rutgers and the stands looked empty, at least from the stream that is. So not sure the crowd size would change much.
  7. I agree. Figs isn't an upgrade over Shawver anyways.
  8. Yea this weekend was what eliminated those 7 from the list lmao.
  9. To answer the topic question, yes. To answer this question, who knows.
  10. Dreshaun Ross to the right of Jax too. I think we can put the "Dreshaun to Michigan for football" rumor to bed, at least for the time being.
  11. The wins over Mendez was pre the 2x champ version of Mendez we have now, the win over Byrd was pre champ Byrd, and the wins over Van Dee were pre AA Van Dee. The last we saw Nagao compete, he went 17-7 with losses to: non AA's Marlon Yarbough (major decision) and Nic Bouzakis. I think him being in a tier with Tagg (who was R16 last year with regular season wins over Happel and Composto) and Cornella is appropriate for now.
  12. Think you nailed it. I could see Stanich moving into T1, but I'm not ready to put him in there yet. I could also see moving Jack into T3 based on him being an AA at this weight in 2024, and beat Vombaur for 7th. Ragusin and Romney being AA's at 133 could quickly move into T3 as well, but I need to see more of them at this weight before I do that. Stanich beat Composto 8-2 last season at the Journeymen Classic.
  13. He's unbelievably good. I'm very high on him.
  14. One Bob Dole for you.
  15. Overrated? Or you don't think he'll pan out in college relative to his current HS rank? Because there's a big difference. If you think he's overrated, I'll argue with you until I'm blue in the face on that. 2nd at Super 32 (loss to Melvin Miller), loss at WNO to Miller, went 5-2 at Elite 8 Duals (both losses to Miller), 3rd at Fargo (loss to Miller in semis). Those are arguably four of the toughest HS events, and he only lost to Miller (who's a generational talent) at all of them. I don't think that's overrated. Now if you think he won't pan out in college relative to his current HS rank, I can't speak on that because I honestly haven't watched many of his matches. I just see his results.
  16. Probably more than 7 honestly.
  17. The same Hendrickson that beat Gable, who Kerk lost to 10-3 two weeks prior?
  18. If Mendoza redshirts, I think it's because Seltzer is better (or the coaches think he'll perform better at least). In today's age of transfer portal, roster caps, possible 5 for 5 looming, it's almost silly to redshirt if you're the best guy (barring injury).
  19. I agree with this statement whole heartedly. I just figured sharing a link would be easier than typing out over 70 upsets from this week alone.
  20. https://www.flowrestling.org/articles/14743898-all-the-upsets-from-week-2-of-the-2024-25-ncaa-season There's a link on there you can click that will take to week 1 as well.
  21. Cy-Hawk is Nov. 30th.
  22. The two younger bros are class of 2028. So it will very hard for them to contribute to a team title in the next three seasons. The two older bros and Borge are class of 2027. So you're asking that if TnT don't win an NCAA team title during Paul/Joe/Borge's freshman season (at the latest) is it time for a coaching change? Lmao. They better pack their bags because that ain't happening.
  23. One Bob Dole for you.
  24. Yea. Which is why you see "NC" (No Contest) on some of the matches later in the day. Because the loser of a "NC" has already reached their match limit. For example, at #149 at the Clarion Open, Zac Cowan had "NC" wins over Maddox Shaw in the consi of 4 and Jackson Butler in the 5th place match. Because Shaw and Butler had both already reached their limit.
  25. There's a 6-match limit athletes can have in a day. So they eliminate a round by not having a consolation semifinals. Also, isn't Bassett a senior? I'm not being sarcastic, because I wouldn't be surprised if he somehow reclassified to be a 19 y/o junior.
