It seems unlikely Russia is leaving the Ukraine with Putin still in power. Putin would lose even more credibility if Russia tucked tail and ran now(which is how it'd be seen by those supporters of the War). Nothing is fair to the Ukrainians right now. I'm still conflicted over banning all Russian athletes unless they speak out against their own country...leaving them without a home and very possibly subject to severe punishment. Who knows what Russia would do. I also don't want to really die on this hill defending Russian athletes even if I think it's a little more nuanced than their Country is doing some terrible shit. It feels like the sanctions that targets the oligarchs...but without the teeth as you're not actually punishing anyone who can do anything to put pressure on Putin.

The Americans did send over a delegation to try and get the Nazi's to tone down the antisemitic rhetoric...which as history proved, accomplished absolutely nothing but appeasing the few American's who were concerned about the PR....to the point it was even an issue at that time There was very little actual outrage in America at that time. FDR stayed out the issue entirely, and save for the American ambassador who adamantly advocated a boycott and few others, American athletes were encouraged to participate. Though...not all that concerned as Jewish athletes in the US were left off teams in an attempt to not offend Hitler...purportedly. As you pointed out, with the CONCLUSION of the games... The Nazi's temporarily toned down their rhetoric, they took down many antisemitic signs featuring Jewish tropes for the Olympics. How is that similar to Flat Earth? One of the two things is real and happened, the other is...flat earth.

PSU Best Ever vs Iowa Best Ever - who wins?

Keep in mind when a few of those Olympic Gold's happened. -
Which one? The first one was pretty good and it didn't seem like the guy was quite the dick the last two were. I enjoyed the guy who tried to run and jump into him getting planted!

This might actually get me if you changed the name a bit. "Siddi Finch?"

Yes, I don't think he'll beat Dake, but I don't think Marsteller is beating Starocci again. Is it really more likely he beats Dake than Marsterller beats him? I don't know, that was more just for emphasis. It's going to be very interesting to see how Starocci does at 74KG. It's a shame the greatest sport in the world only gets 6 Olympic weights.

After reading Ramos and other comments...that sounds about right. Maybe go back to the Mops and the UV lights...if you've already purchased them.

1-I agree. It's really not that hard to transition from Freestyle to Folkstyle...if you're on his level. You're still getting regular matches. Obviously it's not ideal, but I'm sure he could train Freestyle and it may make Folkstyle more fun. I'm guessing these guys are probably mixing their training up as it is. 2-I'm guessing Dake is gonna want to do a VERY little big of training with him. Some...but I suspect it'd benefit Dake more than Starocci.

He's also been on record saying it'd be "cool" to have the chance to get 5 and do something nobody else ever has. I believe he'll go for 5...if he gets 4.

I think I've done so a few times now and you come back...reply twice if you don't get the reaction you seek. I've even tried to move this to private messages so we don't burden the entire forum with this petty bullshit when people are actually trying to discuss potential rule changes in a sport they ACTUALLY care about. And yes, you have been doing "it" before me and I'm sure you'll continue these silly detractions with or without me(just this thread shows you're apt to do just that with other posters). -

"cheap internet parlor tricks?" Sure...that definitely makes sense. Just take a look at this; 27 posts not...about a style of Wresting you don't respect. That you don't care about, two ridiculously long little feuds distracting from the topic again with two people. Virtually nothing has anything to do with the thread. I've tried now a couple times to just end this. Clearly I've hit a nerve as you've posted multiple times after I've said you can have the last word! But...what you really want, just like that little cocker spaniel...is stimulation, isn't it? In that respect, I'm sorry I've indulged you. What exactly are you looking for here? Just a leg to hump? Is there any way that can be someone(anyone) else? LOL...Christ, the dog really doesn't know what to do when he catches that rabbit. -

LOL...he's STILL going? Even if I TRY to let you get the last word just to be done with you...what is it? Napoleon Complex? This thread...AGAIN, wasn't about you. And yet you've gotten into these totally, utterly meaningless drawn out protracted and incoherent threads about nothing. Remember...this isn't even a sport YOU respect? Clearly I don't. I try to let you just tire yourself out. I try to let you get the last word...what else are you looking for? -
When I said the TDs out of bounds, I was referring specifically to the Churella-Hendricks match. Those just aren't close to Takedowns..at all. As a whole...I actually like where we're at right now. It's not flawless by any means. If I could make one change, I'd like to see the...(channeling inner Shane Sparks) resilite with a larger out of bounds area. More room so that a Wrestler can't just put his hand on the floor to be out of bounds. That's an issue. A lot of the TDs that are given up are given up just because guys kinda try to Wrestle the edge and they let up. And it's certainly hard to Wrestle through a position, but it's kinda like catching the ball on the sidelines and dragging your toes. You're not going to have to take the hit and hang on as you go to the ground, but it's just about being aware of where you are. I agree though, you can wrestle out of bounds on one side and have 3 extra feet if you're butting up against another mat and going the other way, you've got the table or the floor. I just don't know how to solve that(other than just larger mats, but that's expensive...though if you started moving in that direction now....). I do like it better than the older rules where there were far-far fewer TDs because the action was blown dead.

I'm just going off memory here, but I know Alex Smith, the Washington Football Team QB who suffered a brutal injury and ended up having 18 surgeries...his story started out sounding pretty similar. Though I believe his was worse(hopefully...it sounds like they're coming through the worst of this). But it took a while for them to realize it was necrotizing fasciitis in his case as well, correct? A compound fracture on a football field...all the bacteria. It just sounds brutal...and the same can be said for a Wrestling match. One great thing about the Wrestling community, it's diverse, but we seem to come together when someone is in need. I sure as hell hope this is a storyline at the NCAA's next year. Just Wrestling next year would be a great story and mean he's healthy and he's recovered.

Hey...LBJ...just, shhh. Go on, do your Gif, get that last word that you need to get. Do the usual song and dance. I've already answered your question and your end goal is....SO very clear. To drag this shit out forever or get the last word. Once again, I'll give that to you, but as I said, my end goal...ideally, would be less of you, the stray dog, yapping at every post. I mean, was the guy who never wrestled before calling D1 Wrestlers soft comical? For a while...in the same way as anyone who is straight up and all the way to the left of the Dunning-Kruger graph is entertaining...for a very short period of time. After that...well, I think @Scouts Honorput it best. No end goal other than to get the dog to stop yapping(STILL). But that seems inevitable. -
I mean...he's not exactly venturing too far out onto that limb there...saying the 3X Champ a weight up isn't going to lose to Amine(who is an outstanding Wrestler).

As usual...I have absolutely no clue what you're talking about. I "stalked YOUR profile?" I mean...sure. If you need that to be true! I think you're getting confused(though that's of little surprise). LMFAO!!! Riiight! I just stated as much...but per usual, it didn't register with ya. ...I...huh? My "excuse" for what exactly? Exactly what am I meant to need an 'excuse' for here? Is this thread an example of ME "stalking your profile?" Again, your opinion of yourself is almost cartoonish. -
I understand that and I wasn't speaking to how right or wrong either was. I'm speaking more to the speculation about getting a transfer and how often it's talked about and how seldom it actually happens for the school in question. There were always rumors a Wrestler was going to transfer in to fill the hole we needed and it never happened. The only times it did was when a kid who was in another school district open enrolled to start HS to Wrestle for our coach. At this level, the speculation reminds me of being back in HS.

Believe it or not lil bud, sometimes I'm really just having a discussion that doesn't involve you. The end goal would ideally be just less interaction...but just as it's difficult to stop that when I have to watch my Sister's yappy little cocker spaniel that's always hopping my feet, biting at my ankles and just generally spazzing out around me, it's equally difficult to do so on here. In fairness, I can just put the dog in the cage in the Basement and after a few hours, he usually tires himself out. I can't seem to find a way to shake you on here though...much as I'd like to. -
Part of the reason I think he'll pursue #4 and #5. The History of it being far more significant. Hell, if things go as I suspect they will in '24, he may be more invested than ever in '25.
