  1. Just the ones we like.
  2. Well...OkieSt and DT are taking a page out of PSUs book and getting people to argue where guys will be Wrestling and who'll be starting in 2-3 years already! Good problem to have. By the way, I was told by @Jimmy Cinnabonthat it was a lock they were going to Iowa...and I just feel so left down. Normally such a reliable and grounded posted has led me astray.
  3. That's one, but I thought there was one who was caught red handed and Haggard was more exposed by his favorite little... drug dealer/prostitute. But yeah, exactly him. Larry Craig also. Anyone who is SOO offended by the idea of gay people getting married, I instantly wonder...'hmm...does that dude like his prostate tickled?' I really stopped keeping track, there's too much hypocrisy. Though that's everywhere, I find it more obnoxious when you're openly judging others, and in Larry Craig's case, writing laws to stop gay rights(this was a while back) and...you're about as straight as cursive. It also doesn't need to be sexual. Remember Joel Oseteen who wanted to "live a life of service," but God WANTS you to be rich! And then he wouldn't let all those disgusting dirty people with no place to go into his church as...I mean, he'd JUST gotten new carpet(Which, we all know that Church carpet is SUPER expensive).
  4. This is true. That's why I've always laughed...when a Larry Craig or the Religious Advisor to the President was caught with a bunch of male hookers and crack cocaine in a hotel room. It adds a level of humor to it.
  5. Ok...well, that renders the entire comment moot and anything else you have to say just incoherent ranting. You say you were proven right but NOBODY else has done anything as serious...so then it'd be stupid to say you were right when he'd be treated better than other people in the same situation, right? Think your posts through. This is...utterly incoherent. Uh...yeah, there have been plenty of NFL players caught with hookers(and blow). If you're good, you get another chance. I'm still at a loss as to how ANY of this relates to how he was treated relative to any other Wrestler, but you seem like you've mostly acknowledged you're just going to phillabuster the hell outta this one and ramble until people say, 'screw it, I don't care.' You don't seem to live in the real world where you reputation precedes you. If you've got arrests in HS and been kicked off College teamS and are fighting teammmates and THEN get arrested for a domestic violence, and you also just have a general reputation as being an insufferable douche, why would you expect the exact same repercussions? Though, again, he GOT suspended. So it seems like you build these premises based on what YOU think will or did happen, you're proven wrong and you just...go on forever about how life ain't fair because...Pat Downey... I can't speak to what you saw or didn't see ~15 years ago. And you're right. You can't help me see what you saw or didn't see. Did I ask you to?
  6. I've been saying the same thing...albeit about a different athlete. There was this Football player, set records, won a Heisman, 2,000 yards in 14 games, one of the 5 greatest backs of all-time. He says, no, no, did you hear about this guy. And I said, you mean the man who gave back as a sideline reporter, who has a genuine and affable personality, who helped a struggling actor stay at his house(in retrospect, maybe not a good move on his his behalf, but he just cared so much), who drew more eyeballs to week long drama about the ills of slavery, who became a millionaire in the NFL and made millions promoting our sport, put smiles on people's faces with Leslie Nielsen. So yeah...I heard about Orenthal James Simpson....a man of faith, a man without an addiction, who broke records, won a Heisman, elevated his sport, elevated the Buffalo Bills, gave back to his sport, brought awareness to people as an actor, brought joy to people as an actor... So if there is anything else you're talking about when discussing Orenthal Simpson, a man with a life filled with good deeds and take this one "not so good deed," and talk about anything else, then maybe the problem is you...(wow, I'm actually in awe of how deep this is) LOL...for the record, I am NOT equating OJ with Snyder...just this absurd logic. That being a great athlete means you're immune from criticism if it was only the one "not so good deed?" Also, no way was Gwiz vs Snyder the biggest match in NCAA History. Start with Taylor-Dake and then work back to rank them in terms of anticipation, but I don't care if it was the highest rated(and I can't find evidence it was)...that doesn't make it the "biggest." There were like 9 people who saw Snyder win his Gold and yet...we're talking about him because he's an Olympic Champ. Has it now? Did you see the suspension coming? Who didn't get the "benefit of the doubt" that Snyder has gotten? And this "relatable" nonsense. Who has this made him more "relatable" to? Why are even comparing Downey to Snyder? One has a much longer list and... did you say was more of a douche bag(without the World or Olympic titles). I'm not seeing a lot of similarities here.
  7. Yeah...that's just the thing. I WASN'T really debating anything. I just made a couple comments that I was dubious about the sex addiction, how Snyder would do the ask for forgiveness and become a better Christian thing and then that I really felt bad for his wife and I think that's more consequential than any potential suspension...and I got hit with the EVER so hot take that...child prostitution is bad...which of course...that's a hot take Well...that confirms it, he had no way of knowing if she was of age or not...
  8. No, nobody said anything about kids other than some idiot because I said I didn't buy that it was an addiction and I thought him cheating on his wife would be the most significant part of this. Then I got some houlier than tho nonsense about how most sex workers are children(not true) who are trafficked and...apparently my comments totally unrelated to that were offense to the guy who said he was "having a blast" talking about this for ~30 pages.
  9. No, but seeking out sex in particular and then saying it's a disease or you have an addiction to sex is a lazy cop out...IMO.
  10. I'm not saying he will or won't be, but I am saying that just pointing out that the other 15 who were arrested were able to "go back to work," that doesn't mean that Snyder somehow is entitled to the same "rights" with regard to his employment. USA Wrestling could suspend him...I don't know if they will. I do know that...it's not legal in most parts of the Country. It's criminalized more in some than others, but mostly my point was when you have a high profile job, you're not subject to the same ramifications at that job as you would be if you were...an accountant, in waste management(unless it's "waste management," then it's a promotion probably)....in short, Snyder is and should be held to a higher standard as he's been given more responsibility. I do believe the biggest issue is his wife and him. That's where I lost the most respect for Snyder. And if some moron comes in and takes that and runs with it being some tacit endorsement of child sex trafficking, that's on them. I really have little patience for the intellectually dishonest.
  11. Funny you've had a "blast" the last couple days and are SO supremely outraged at...what again? That I don't buy the sex addiction excuses, that I think being in the position he's in, he's likely to face more consequences and... I'm sorry, you went on the tangent about MOST people being trafficked being KIDS(that was in all caps, so very important). But... at a time when you believe there is this rampant abuse of MOSTLY children in sex trafficking, you've had a "blast" talking about it and you're telling ME that I should "pray on it?" In all seriousness... if you're going to play the morally indignant card, you probably shouldn't have a "blast" making jokes about what in YOUR mind is MOSTLY children who are trafficked and forced into prostitution, eh? Pray on that...(or don't, I really don't care what you "pray on.")
  12. Yeah, cute response. You've posted 44 times in this thread to let everyone know JUST how outraged you are and then just made up a bunch of bull$hit in a post, attributed it to me, but NOW...after 44 posts in, your attention span cannot tolerate a couple paragraphs. Just say you've had a few drinks tonight and you're just wrote an incoherent post that doesn't at all align with what I said and move on(though...I guess this is the social media way of doing just that). But yeah, I guess I won't be holding my breath for where I apparently said That....makes more sense than this stupidity.
  13. 1-No...I will not "pray on that." 2-Most subjects are NOT children. KIDS if you will. But I didn't argue this point, though @BAC did and he made a pretty strong argument. 3-I made a REAL simple point. A-I don't believe in the "Sex addiction therapy," nonsense. B-I don't think the fact that the other 15 people who got arrested not losing their job or suffering professional ramifications means that Snyder won't. Explain where in the TF that even addresses the "Comfy Parts, USA," or Child Trafficking aspect of this? I haven't been defending Snyder... though I'm also not just sure WTF you're talking about or how I'M the one who got this... just made up lecture about how most escotrs being children who are trafficked. Via Homeland Security; Coercion and Forced Involvement Sex Trafficking: The U.S. Department of Homeland Security reports that 23% of all human trafficking victims are subjected to sex trafficking, with 8% of these victims being children . Though...AGAIN, ENTIRELY Moot as I didn't defend Snyder AT-ALL. So again, what the hell are you talking about? Also, maybe help me out with something here. Presumably you know what the purpose of quotes are, right? They are to repeat what someone said to bolster their argument using their EXACT words. So...again, not only would I like to know where the quotes came from, but WTF did the sentiment come from? You can pray on whatever you want... just don't start making up nonsense.
  14. Not really how it works. Robert Kraft gets arrested at a rug and tug joint, it makes news. Big John from Big Johns Plumbing gets arrested...the National Media doesn't make such a big issue out of it(so biased)... Not that I think he will be suspended, but the argument that these other poor shlubs got to go back to their job...Wrestling for team USA is a privilege. It's one that's earned on the Mat, but it come with prestige. And I get I'm starting to sound more outraged about all of this than I am. I'm...mostly indifferent, there's just a few points I disagree with.
  15. Is it really a guess when I basically just said as much? No...I don't believe in it. I believe Men when they're young like to have sex(hell, probably when they're old as well). I believe you need to show some self restraint. And this isn't even self restraint, it's one thing if you have a GF, Fiancé, Wife and you get a little buzzed at a wedding or bar or whatever and you simply need to NOT sleep with someone, but this was him having to just not actively go seek it out. I think this is an excuse, a cop out and I think it's transparent. Every celebrity gets busted doing something stupid, they go and "get help." Charlie Sheen-THAT dude needed help. Tiger-He just needed to stop frequenting strip clubs on Tuesday Afternoons when the only requisite to employment was a minimum of one cesarian scar and a tattoo on your lower back. I'd be willing to bet 6 figures he's going to turn to God and his supportive Family, speak to his Pastor and give the cliched Christian Man who strayed as we're all sinners routine...and the rehab...well, I don't know, that'll likely be up to his sponsors. I don't think the guy is an awful guy. I think he probably thought he was untouchable, he got touched(not in the way he paid for) and now he'll hopefully change his ways. But no, I don't believe he's "addicted" to the cave of wonders any more than any man(well...with your obvious exceptions...Liberace, Lance Bass...my Great Uncle who my Grandma referred to as a "confirmed bachelor...though he died about 30 years ago, so times were different). But...aside from that subset of Men, I don't think he's particularly unique in this regard. He just made the bad decision and betrayed his family. And I do not believe it was because of an addition or disease.
  16. I do not know what "FCA wrestling is." But...either way...sure, he let people down. I get that. I do think it's a fringe minority of people who are victimizing Kyle, but that's an opinion, I know how you'd quantify that. The comments I saw seemed...pretty harsh...similar to this one. I'm frankly unsure how he'd be the victim. The "his wife wasn't doing his job," is not a normal, common take and I'd not take it seriously. I think people often take the vocal minority and amplify them.
  17. I feel like we exaggerate the time and effort that goes into this. If it was Robert Kraft or...Tom Brady, sure, they'll have an agent and their PR staff get together and craft a letter or statement. At Rudis I feel like they just told a kid just say something inspirational.
  18. Oh...is he a big enough star to do the whole, "sex addict, I'll be getting treatment," schtick?
  19. See... the ills of this scourge if you will...are even touching this message board. While this 'lil guys Mom was out working, he missed out on his uncrustable and didn't even get to bed at a reasonable time in a school night! Don't worry bud, she's out grinding(literally) so she can buy you boxes and boxes of uncrustables! All the uncrustables you can eat...like you play for the Broncos!
  20. I wasn't defending Snyder or necessarily talking about this specific case, I was more talking about your assertion that sane adults don't sell their bodies(paraphrasing, correct me if I'm mischaracterizing what you're saying). I think there's a lot of evidence that many do. I don't have a strong enough opinion about the state of illegal prostitution in this area or what Snyder did to have a REAL strong opinion. I think what he did to his wife and then what he did to the people who look up to him as more egregious, in this particular case...
  21. LOL...yeah, I'm really starting to see why this consensus has been building! I didn't give anyone a "rule" sport, I made a comment about one guy and AGAIN, then I made a facetious comment...that clever went over your head(which given your disposition is likely not a high bar).
  22. Look up the word Facetious for me there bud. It'll be your word for the day. I'm also not sure where I made up "rules" for everyone, but...sure, lets treat it as though I set up a "rule." See above. Prior to this...I wasn't calling you an idiot, simply pointing out what the consensus seemed to be. I am starting to see the perspective of the rest of the board however.
  23. I know, I was just commenting on the post you shared.
  24. I don't know... look at OF girls. Also...what about Vegas? Is it the doing it illegally that you find it hard to believe or is it just the act? I think a lot of people who will make money the "easy" way. Maybe they will say, 'hey, I made a G today,' and you'd say, 'but you made it in a sleazy way.' That's just the way it is. We gotta start making changes! Seriously though, of course...a lot of people will exploit others as well. That's also an easy way to make money I guess. I'm skeptical that sex trafficking is as prevalent as some are inferring, but...it kinda seems like the best solution to this and most realistic would be just to legalize it. I really can't imagine a more...tortured life than being forced into prostitution, but it does seem to me that Bunny Ranch in Vegas...those ARE consenting adults. How sane they are, that seems relative.
