  1. I don't think he did anything dirty. He's just got a...different style. I'd imagine he's frustrating to Wrestle against for people at his level. He doesn't move as smoothly as others do. He and Hamiti kinda have that same motion that's a little... awkward. I don't think he's trying to be dirty or get in anyone's head or any of that. Maybe I'm wrong, but it just feels like you can tell the difference between the contrived "tough guy," shit vs the just relentless, non-stop motor. I'd say he's more in that later group like a Lincoln Mcllravy. If you're getting poked in the eyes and getting clubbed, it's probably a bit more difficult to tell in the moment however.
  2. Ok, so this is Jimmy's new burner? Obviously some obnoxious PSU fan all bitter about JB...
  3. Oh...yeah, I saw this one. This was the first semester of last year talking about adding Ferrari(or anyone, but obviously it was about Ferrari). I don't think this is really saying much. Ferrari has since been working out and lifting in the Iowa room...I'd say that is a more telling sign. Plus it feels like Angelo is a package deal(does anyone care about the other idiot?) At the very least, they have to be humoring AJ and the Ferrari's.
  4. I'm impressed with Angelo and...obviously AJ has won an NC, so...they're impressive Wrestlers(don't know much about Anthony).
  5. I don't know what interview you're talking about(just didn't hear it), but I'd imagine if AJ can put together of months of not screwing up, he's gonna go with the National Champ. Guys say things, but when it comes down to it, I think Iowa is all in...but again, don't know what he said.
  6. That's pretty unlikely IMO. Ferrari is slow and methodical and...Starroci is going to add some weight obviously. I think a bigger threat to Starroci would be a Trumble or someone who is just so much longer and bigger. Ferrari is bigger obviously, but I think the length would be a bigger issue. More likely he goes '84 though I would guess.
  7. Yeah...that's fair and makes sense. A 5X National Champ? He'll be a...9X National Champ all told? I mean, unless things go REALLY poorly.
  8. I really don't think so. The guy sent me a REALLY angry DM on a different thread where I just commented about him acting like a clown at the Southern Scuffle... But I also don't know for sure.
  9. He brags about it and he's hyper-defensive of the Ferrari's, but no, I can't state for a fact that they're related.
  10. Yeah...it ain't good... It's like what the rapist says in a Law and Order that's WAY over the top! I believe he also has some other...less than kind words for the girl, but it was hard to read.
  11. The Uncle may be the worst on social media. The shit he posts is...WILD and seem truly delusional... Makes a wild rape claim and then does the "she begged for it," shit.
  12. I NEVER thought he'd walk away from a chance at 5 and whatever NIL he's going to get for the chance to be the first 5X Champ. The freak set of circumstances that came together, it'll be cool to see.
  13. I'm not saying he's the best of this group...but he may be such a freak, IF he Wrestlers, he could be the most likely AND the first 4X Champ at HWT. He just looks so funny in his stance. You look at him and you're 'the hell is wrong with his back? He looks like the hunchback.' Then he stands up and you realize...he's just 6'5 and his back is just THICK. He just looks funny bent over like that, but he's explosive, long, strong and seems pretty even keeled. *It's actually somewhat funny to me that Sinclair beat him pretty badly last year. I know he was a couple grades below him, but if this was 30 years ago and you didn't know what every top Wrestler looked like, you'd get out to Fargo or wherever and you'd be looking around for this stud at 195 and you'd see this red headed kid who's ~5'8 and you would immediately dismiss him...and he'd go out and absolutely put on on ya. Anyway, my thoughts...whoever gets lucky as a Freshmen in this group. Mesenbrink lost by a point in the toughest weight. Haines went as a True Frosh. Snyder, True Frosh. Stieber, he had to get a bit of a...controversial call and upset a stud in Oliver(right call, point of emphasis that year, Oliver needed to get his head out). But it's just so hard guessing who will and who won't. Crookham beats Vito twice and the 2nd time, it's more convincing than the first, but he can't get the sweep(Vito is also one of the best in the world). Prediction-Carroll wins it at 197 next year and he's the next 4X Champ, but never have there been more 18-19-year-old kids with the ability to go with anyone. That it could be one of 20 kids in the next 2-3 years(first title)...that's wild.
  14. I don't love the "told ya so," but...I told y'all so! The chance to be a 5X Champ? And he can go '84? The only question is will Keckiesen wrestle '84 or '97? I predicted he'd win it at '97 next year, but the chance to stop the guy going to 5? That may be bigger than winning his 2nd title.
  15. Yeah, literally NOBODY is arguing with you. I don't know if you're doing a bit here, but it's standard...they extend everyone. Everyone gets a 5th year added...
  16. Yeah...I get that. That's why I said, "it's standard." The only rationale reason for Gard to be on the same standing as Bono is because they care a whole lot more about MBB. And if McIntosh was willing to do the same for non-revenue sports as revenue sports, he would have.
  17. Yeah, I'm just being optimistic I guess. I'm also looking at all the graduations and the fact that he's going to go '57 and he'll have Hamiti to workout with. Or maybe he's a '65 and Hamiti a '74. I don't know.
  18. Where does that team place in the NCAAs? Top 4? Hamiti could win it at '65. Cardenas could be in the finals at '97 and win it(I'll take Carroll though). McGonagle top 5. Fish, Parco should both be top 5 IMO.
  19. I completely agree. There is ZERO chance Brooks can win a 5th title. Starocci on the other hand, the one with another year left, he's a dark horse to maybe win a title next year.
  20. Well...Yianni and Dake were both 3 timers, so they've got that checked!
  21. Yeah, it's standard. But just maybe this one time they could have said, "4 years of security is good enough for you." Apparently, their WBB program is even worse. I know the MBB team, which was ranked 6th, just lost 4-5 significant transfers and their HC is in no trouble. I suspect they're not going to be spending much money buying out non-revenue generating coaches unless or until their Football team starts to really generate more revenue. Especially with all the money going toward their new facilities.
  22. I see it he same way...but I don't even see Mesenbrink being a dick. He's just SO amped up and Wrestles at such a high level... Sometimes this shit seems performative(I'm thinking of a fairly recent Iowa Wrestler...not a 133 LB Iowa Wrestler) and sometimes it feels like it just comes from being really locked in and having that type of mentality. I do think it'd be annoying and I'd THINK he was an asshole, but I don't think MM is trying to be one. I think he probably really respects JB and just wants to win. Just wanted to push the pace as that's his best chance. I think we're making more of this than necessary.
