  1. Initially you were very unclear as to who you were talking about. You mentioned Gable before misspelling Uetake.
  2. More likely- the coast comes over to them.
  3. I see mention of Olympic waivers (for training) in the D1 manual going back at least as far as '91.
  4. It was Steve Barrett, Ok State. 1977 Champ 142. Was on the ladder in 1980 but stopped trialing when we pulled out. Wrestled for AIA for a number of years. I believe he lived in the USSR for some time.
  5. No, when I was working they had a video system at each mat. As far as I recall it was mainly to give the coaches but was sometimes used for post match protests/controversial scenarios. I don't believe they could use them formally for that last purpose though more for study.
  6. They did block Fekete. I thought to Hofstra but that was a while ago.
  7. Went to World's in 82 for $20 as I recall.
  8. Yup. They are allowed to take a couple (I think 2) consecutive dates of competition and count them as one for this purpose.
  9. No. It is 16 dates of allowed competition prior to conferences but it is 16+1 in the computation for hardship which rounds up to 6.
  10. It's out of 16 actually but it still rounds up to 5 dates. Assuming the Matmen Open was counted as one date (and likely he only wrestled his 3 bouts in one day) he would be fine.
  11. Didn't know which year you were discussing
  12. USAW has begun to rate wrestlers with an ELO-like system.
  13. Mizzou- Conor Brown 133 transferred twice (SDSU, Wisc)
  14. Please! NO MORE SHOTS!
  15. And in Mint condition!
  16. That's The Answer!
