  1. Not sure I can think of one but Bobby Truby (mid 80s) won 2 MD and 2 Pa. I think someone else won in both of those states also.
  2. He probably thinks it's because he didn't lead the semis discussion.
  3. I have to bring this up regularly. They experimented with that about thirty years ago. First event, they had to bring one of the kids to the hospital. Sent from my Pixel 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  4. A lot of people wonder why we do folkstyle and not freestyle for the guys.
  5. The kids go by their mother's name which is coincidentally similar. Sent from my Pixel 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  6. Wow, the score showed tied. It took both points to do that. Why would they review to see if he won by one point or two? Sent from my Pixel 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  7. You're missing the obvious in that both points went up on the board. If the refs didn't make the call they wouldn't have needed to have the review. They could have just said that they didn't make the call. Then Lehigh might have been able to throw the brick.
  8. I kidded the mom once about literally being My Three Sons (Mason, Carson, Pierson). She told me one of the kids (Must be Mason since he was the oldest) came up with the other two names- they all have connections with towns in Colorado.
  9. Rylan Rogers was at Blair in 2020. Transferred out. Trent M is a third Mastrogiovanni also on the team in 2020. I was wondering if this thread was about what happened at Blair a few years ago surrounding the Mastros and also the Ferraris.
  10. Escape was definitely put up on the board tieing the score. We were surprised he got released and we saw two 1 point signals. My gut told me it was too late but I wasn't looking directly at the clock. When the refs came back out after reviewing they signaled stall and then no score and one point came off the clock.
  11. He wrestled up several weights up. Maybe one year in college Sent from my Pixel 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  12. It was called right after the stall. Why do you think the other coach ran out and yelled? Sent from my Pixel 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  13. This a Blair group? Sent from my Pixel 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  14. I can't find a floor layout for the 1999 Championships at BJC. But the seating capacity there compared to Giant is irrelevant since even Giant doesn't come anywhere near to filling up. I know BJC isn't a hockey arena so I don't know how much floor space would be available but Giant is and could fit 8 mats like all hockey arenas can (might need to remove all boards). And then you'd be back to cost which apparently is night and day.
  15. Yes. Plus- I assume @scourge165 was watching on a non-synced video. Watching live- it was really close. I never expected AOC to release him like that so didn't see the clock. In fact, my guess is that he released because he saw time up. (Could have been premature though).
  16. Like @Dogbone, I wasn't crazy about the venue. They video and ribbon boards weren't up to snuff. It would have been helpful to have a bout board. The ribbon boards were almost useless, They had things spread out so far that (at least from the 300 level endzone) I could only see parts of 3 mats displayed. And at that they only showed scores and colors. The clocks were tough to see from the far half. And not enough restaurants near enough to be very useful. Although I didn't eat there, the fan fest seemed to be done well food wise. We drove way out one day and found a small Mexican establishment (pretty good). But then we had to pay for parking again. We took a couple of decent walks the other two days. Food wasn't bad either time but a long walk and the opposite direction from the Fan Fest so going back to that before the next session took quite a while. Being from NJ, I was hesitant to try Oklahoma pizza but Andolini's was pretty good.
  17. At least he got out of the first period Sent from my Pixel 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  18. Yes and I believe every champ went over to him.
  19. BTW, was the anthem singer Royce Alger's kid? And also, BTW- over the 6 sessions there were 13 singers (one choir of 8). All male. Might be promoting women's wrestling but not women's singing.
  20. Interesting how both Bartlett and Van Ness finished within seconds of each other on consecutive mats Sent from my Pixel 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  21. And she can kick that person's butt! Sent from my Pixel 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  22. I think farther back than that. I think I was still working the event. My last year was 2006. I remember a discussion of telling the appropriate people prior to the morning weigh in. It did involve an Iowa kid. Sent from my Pixel 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  23. We were sitting in front of Ohio u and they used both already Sent from my Pixel 7 Pro using Tapatalk
