  1. No, when I was working they had a video system at each mat. As far as I recall it was mainly to give the coaches but was sometimes used for post match protests/controversial scenarios. I don't believe they could use them formally for that last purpose though more for study.
  2. They did block Fekete. I thought to Hofstra but that was a while ago.
  3. Went to World's in 82 for $20 as I recall.
  4. Yup. They are allowed to take a couple (I think 2) consecutive dates of competition and count them as one for this purpose.
  5. No. It is 16 dates of allowed competition prior to conferences but it is 16+1 in the computation for hardship which rounds up to 6.
  6. It's out of 16 actually but it still rounds up to 5 dates. Assuming the Matmen Open was counted as one date (and likely he only wrestled his 3 bouts in one day) he would be fine.
  7. Didn't know which year you were discussing
  8. USAW has begun to rate wrestlers with an ELO-like system.
  9. Mizzou- Conor Brown 133 transferred twice (SDSU, Wisc)
  10. Please! NO MORE SHOTS!
  11. And in Mint condition!
  12. That's The Answer!

  14. I'm not positive here but I believe the PIAA started thinking about changing the weights prior to the NFHS settling on their new sets. So they just came up with a reasonable set and then once the NFHS settled they went with it.
  15. Gambling that's not licit? What part don't you understand?
  16. Not sure what some of you are thinking here PIAA-wise. That 1 pound add to the first several weights was done so that it DID comply with the NFHS 13 weight set for boys.
  17. Yup- perfect weight classes are ... perfect!
  18. But they do have non-even weight distribution- especially in the smaller events. Granted the Beast or Iron Man probably won't be affected because of size. But the smaller Christmas type tournies might invite 8 schools and have enough byes to cause problems. And the point is that with a 30 minute rest this becomes less of a problem.
  19. It definitely does make a difference early. I'm likely talking more about about events (opens) where the pigtail rounds (ch and co) are at oddball numbers due to uneven weight-size distributions. Often invites try for some round numbers of teams but even something like the EIWA in college has 17 teams and we have to schedule pigtails such as to minimize the wait time worries.
  20. At least Star Date 2269
  21. But he can rule him to death.
  22. Might just be how he defines committed. He might mean Letter of Intent.
