Truax has the same problem as the last upper weight guy they had that came in. (Though that one did win a title one of his two years) He is not "A Penn State" wrestler. He does not show what many of the Cael guys do on the mat. Maybe more time in the room getting The System pumped into him is needed?

OSU and Coach Smith are showing a very good recovery from PTFD: Post Traumatic Ferrari Disorder. Tom Brands and Iowa are showing some effects of it. That happens with even a small exposure. Watch what happens if they get the full infection.

Iowa lost to Michigan?

https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article.analysis-ferrari-are-fully-focused-on-2024-but-its-impossible-to-avoid.4uCaFhUJzolY1TWSkTnzBl.html https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article.5-bold-f1-driver-moves-that-paid-off-and-5-that-didnt-as-hamilton-makes-his.2wPmwzRV9k9duGq68QFn9u.html Real Ferrari stuff. Real racing. Circuits that have drivers at 34 mph on a curve and then over 220 mph on the straight. Cameras on the cars and drivers that show most everything anywhere on the track. Day and night races. Racing in the rain. Max Verstappen on the Red Bull team won 19 of the 22 races last year. He was in a F1 car at 17 1/2 years of age. A good sport to follow. A lot like wrestling in some ways. One driver with a whole support system trying to get them to the top.

Check out the NCAA.com site for wrestling and it is frustrating. Articles are old. Not kept up to date. Their Basketball site is apparently updated daily - maybe even more than that. They don't seem to care about wrestling. Not sure about other "minor sports" as I don't follow them. Any way to push these jokers to do a better job?

High powered silenced pellet rifles work well. .22 or .25 cal is very good with air powered rifles. .30, .357, .45 and .50 calibre are generally way too much power. One of mine I take coyotes with is nice and quiet. The sound of the pellet hitting is louder than the shot. Accuracy is the hallmark of good quality pellet rifles. Am regularly taking blackbirds off power lines and tree branches at 75 yards. Head shots on swimming muskrats at that range are normal. Pellets don't ricochet like regular bullets or even 22 rimfires do. Much safer for the shooter than using BB's - which are steel and bounce back if they hit something hard, like the wood in a knothole. Adjustable power with some is great. Pigeons in the barn without the pellet going through them and making a hole in the roof is nice. So is taking pigeons from the grain elevators at 20 to 100 yards and even more. Feral cats are no match for these air rifles.

PAC 12 screws the PAC 12 wrestling fans once again

It is the influence of all those prune pickers in California and their obsession with sports where you play with your balls. -
It's time: Predict the 2024 125 pound NCAA champ

No matter who wins it won't be Iowa. They are set up big time for the NCAA Tank job. -

James E. Sullivan Award Semi-Finalists: Taylor, Gray and Elor
AgaveMaria replied to Idaho's topic in College Wrestling
Won't vote for womens basketball. Not until they play with the same ball as the men. This reeks of "Separate but equal" and just as with civil rights... it is not. -
It is what Girlymen do on the mat. Wrestlers Pin the opponent and the more formal types call it a Fall.

Take a good look at him and listen to him. Then put yourself in the place of a University President and see if you can really justify him as Head Coach material? Doe he have the organizational experience or skill he can bring to the job? How well will he look at the public face of the University as head coach? He has no experience, no resume as a coach. Watching him on some videos won't impress most administrators. Maybe an AD or two, but it takes more than that. If he can get an assistant position and show a few years of progress and successfully taking on more responsibilities maybe he has a chance. It isn't like he can pick and choose among the many openings. For now he is a major league gamble. Nothing more.

Have watched two matches with Lumley of Michigan. In both he nailed the left eye of his opponent a number of times with his right hand. Open hand with the thumb right in the eye. Did cause the opponents some problems. No apparent 'sorry' or handshake/touch as if it were an accident after it happened. Is he doing this in more matches? Or is it just happenstance in these?

If he does, maybe he can get NIL money from the NRA?

Sacramento State creating Combat U Program
AgaveMaria replied to Walt Kowalsky's topic in College Wrestling
Do they have ROTC or military affiliation? You want real combat sports/training - they are the ones who actually use it. -
You must not spend much time on land used for cattle. Rich land doesn't see much of a problem but marginal land does not benefit from cattle or sheep. Don't know about goats or alpacas or other odd animals.(USA) Cattle are very hard on marginal and dry lands. Especially so on water sources. They wade in and cause a lot of problems with bank collapse and erosion. Utah built Jordanelle dam and was putting in interpretive signs. Accurate signs detailed the reality of cattle grazing on water holes and streams. A State Legislator who raised cattle forced their removal. Seems accurate information was not wanted and he had the clout to get the signs removed and others put in. (wrestling related as this is near Heber City, home of Cael Sanderson)

Iowa will never be the same until The Terrible Two get over their current case of PTFD. John Smith is over it and look at how Oklahoma State is performing. Now Tom & Terry are suffering and it has hit the whole team. Will it take two full seasons for them to be Ferrari Free like it has for John Smith?

PSU 191, Iowa 16 - that big a difference in takedowns?
AgaveMaria replied to AgaveMaria's topic in College Wrestling
Makes more sense. Listening to it during a match I must have missed that with my ears so full of Resilite... -
Watching PSU at Iowa I heard one of the announcers say that the Penn State wrestlers(in this dual) had 191 takedowns so far this season while the Iowa wrestlers had a grand total of 16. Is this accurate? I know Iowa seems to rely on stall & pray while trying to be UberGrinders - but a difference of 175 takedowns so far in the season? That is a difference that is difficult to believe. Did not count the number of takedowns in each match during the dual. What is the total on this one? How can Iowa fall so far in a basic offensive move?

Live close to the US/Canadian border. Border Patrol uses this strategy more than you think. No matter, it is effective most anywhere since weed is still a controlled substance and illegal on the federal level. Look at is like jaywalking - if a cop wants to screw with you the law is still there on the books. Nail someone with these small things to pressure them - or any other reason. A few years ago in Utah a Mayor had assistants nailed for jaywalking when a dispute with the Police Dept was going on. Kind of like getting stopped for "broken tail light" or "crossed the center line". Or, maybe in language you can understand..., "Athletes gambling"?
