  1. No. Among the top choices if you count 4 timers but it does not have the infrastructure to advance the careers of many wrestlers. A place like Penn State does have it and it is only getting better.
  2. And..., getting real. Charlie Manson never killed anyone either.
  3. My buddy has gone on as he has a football game to work this weekend. As he said, NO photographer/videographer is going to give up Copyright to their images. You just won't get coverage. Newspapers and magazines won't cover the events. Apparently you can regulate who has matside access -but taking ownership of their work product? Not likely unless you are willing to pay for it. He has photos of Dan Gable to Cael Sanderson. They are images still marketable today. If he had given up or sold copyright he would no longer have them to market He also has a ton of Indy Car, NASCAR and F1 drivers, crews and cars from when he covered it heavily. Same with Surfing and Pro boxing. They are his retirement bank. Images that he still licenses for editorial use. Many he has licensed for posters, team use and even more. You control access, not try to take ownership. BTW, he stopped by to do some Snowmobile photography, but we are low on snow. So he headed to Devils Lake for ice fishing images. Then East for NFL this weekend. He keeps busy.
  4. Am visiting my old college friend and he asked me about this one. Asked as I have shot NFL, NBA, MLB and such for decades for newspapers, magazines and some teams. The camera doesn't lie. It photographs reality. But..., your angle, lens, lighting and what you choose to photograph can emphasize various aspects of what is covered. Then you have how they are edited and worked on to emphasize particular areas of images. I do still work, no video. I'll leave the video to friends who have the dollars for top gear and do it for a living. All of us who photograph sports have images that are questionable and at times almost obscene. Images that, if published - would be a bad look for the subject featured. Any photographer with a conscience does not show these. Editors never see them because we are not in the business of trying to ruin our subjects. This is especially true in Youth sports and even more so with women in sport. As for me I stopped photographing cheerleaders a few decades ago. Too much "dirty old man" vibes from too many when you are pointing big lenses at the women/girls. Just personal here but i know many who do not photograph them unless specifically asked. Same basic reason - don't want to be labeled as dirtbag photographers or - even worse - "paparazzi". When photographing action stuff happens. Hands and fingers end up in odd positions, body parts get exposed or emphasized. Good taste dictated judgment on what we send ot editors for publication and sale. There is a line from funny to embarassing to outrght prurient images. Most I have done business with don't want and won't publish those images that are questionable. For me, I don't do business with those who do. Others are not concerned with it. If - and it is a bit IF - I ran a venue and saw certain photographers/videographers putting up images as this topic is discussing i would ban them from the arena. If that is challenged we could go to NO CAMERAS as a policy. Even that is a problem with cell phone image quality getting better every week. These type of photographers will always be with us. Local control is pretty much your only option. Visit an Intellectual Property attorney and/or Law Enforcement to get good information on your legal options. I am not an attorney. That said I know what happens if I find my kids involved. There is the law. There is revenge. When it is personal..., revenge becomes the law. Take that however you will.
  5. Reality is that no one actually knows what "Jesus said". Nothing at all was recorded when he supposedly lived. All the various religious groups and even they can't figure out just what is right. They fight among themselves and even cause wars over it. A lot of otherwise fine people are involved in many religions. They have faith, not knowledge because what they are basing the faith on is basically fairy tales.
  6. "for cause" is as simple as most anything those in charge want to say it is. Not winning more NCAA Titles is more than enough. Look at Jim Zalesky. Look at a number of the football and basketball coaches who were bought out. Paid to leave. Paid millions..., and Tens of millions. If Iowa management wants them gone a Contract Buyout is simple.
  7. Tommy Brands is under contract until 2029 - if the information I read is correct. The ferrari boys are a problem that brings out the reality that they are desperate. Trying to bring in talent that are saddled with known problems that can tarnish the school and program. So, will Iowa administration buy out their conntracts? It isn't as if we are talking football coaches. Like Texas A&M paying $75 million to buy out the contract of Jimbo Fisher. Texas dumped Tom Heman and it cost them $15 million. Auburn's 2020 buyout of football coach Gus Malzahn cost $21.7 million. Compared to these T&T would be cheap to pay to disappear. So, does Iowa do it or continue as they are, giving the school & NCAA wrestling a black eye?
  8. Wow! Downey going for another Ph.D? What is that..., 22 of them now?
  9. Won't bash them until I am sure AJ has hired Downey to be his PR person.
  10. Just wait until a wrestler tries it, pulls a groin muscle or hamstring and loses the season.
  11. Superior Belief in Godand Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior If he didn't mention Jesus he didn't apologize. Superior belief demands it.
  12. A certain wrestling Family from Texas may be looking for a new University for their three top quality wrestlers. Bono standing next to AJ on the awards platform at NCAA's - that is a picture to look forward to.
  13. Superior Belief in Godand Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior Romans8:31 - “If God is for us, who can be against us.” Either will only work if you put a big Cross on the uniforms.
  14. Superior Belief in Godand Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior Romans8:31 - “If God is for us, who can be against us.” -------------------- The Iowa Administration will be so over awed by the Faith of the whole car family they will have no choice but to bring the boys into the program. Having them and their great faith in the room will instantly raise the level far, far above Penn State's version of Jesus and his henchmen.
  15. T&T will keep these guys and love the Anti-personality which will bring bigger crowds to every venue. After all, the State loves Donald Trump - sexual predator and major league dirtbag.
  16. From the looks of it AJ punches like a girl. Maybe that is really why the DQ?
  17. The cheezy lurching style with the half baked kneeling/stalling tactics are a bad look. Shoving an opponents head down at the end and getting shoved back - answering with a girly punch and one finger Salute? Then the redneck trash hairdo... Yep, He's Iowa!
  18. Only qualification he needs is learning to say "I Surrender" in German...
  19. Do you know why Baptists don't have sex while standing? They are afraid God will see and think they are dancing. -------------------- What does a Mormon do to show rebellion? Drinks a cup of coffee. ------------------------ Athiesm is not a religion, just a belief. Religion is a belief. Either is obnoxious when pushed on everyone else. I do find agnostic and athiestic folks don't seem to try pushing their belief on me. I don't know that one or any of the others makes for better wrestlers.
  20. They aren't defecting. They keep American citizenship or move to obtain citizenship in their new country. it isn't like Cubans and Russians defecting. Not even close.
  21. https://www.amazon.com/Family-Man-Nicolas-Cage/dp/B002YH3WQQ Might try THE FAMILY MAN. A younger Tia Leoni in the shower....
  22. "Superior Belief in Godand Jesus Christ " What does this have to do with anything? Believing in myths won't give him any takedowns.
  23. Here you go Guys, DIE HARD is "Officially" a Christmas Movie. https://www.cnn.com/videos/entertainment/2023/12/22/die-hard-christmas-movie-lead-vpx.cnn
  24. Accused rapist. Almoset kills friends and others in dangerous driving vehicle accident. General Scrote. Love how the God and Jesus junk comes out so easily.
  25. "All kinds of animals"? Is he actually farming or is it just another hobby farm? We have "hobby farms" where I live and these guys don't have to rely on the land to make a living. Some call themselves farmers or ranchers - but it is still a hobby, not a life.
