is Munaretto still on the table?

Kolat was well before my time Chance was the closest thing to him for me hearing about him winning matches at college opens when he was in 7th grade was absolutely insane. Chance did not wrestle the circuit the other two did however and by comparison Kolat I don't think was active as Bo. Ive never heard of Kolat taking losses period in high school though. That is probably partially because of the events these kids go to now cadets, juniors, elite 8,super 32,fargo. It seemed like kolat had that aura of being completely untouchable that I'm not sure Bo quite has simply because we have seen him take losses to his peers, but I think that's a product of the national depth we now have and kids having the ability to wrestle so many different places. As far as in season goes Bo is currently 111-0 with 107 wins by bonus so 96.3%. Kolat was 137-0 for his career can't find bonus results. Thats a lot to say I think it's a matter of perspective Kolat may have had a bit more sense of invincibility though.

Bo, Blaze, Jax - who has the best college career?
Truzzcat replied to Jimmy Cinnabon's topic in College Wrestling
11 is definitely unlikely statistically especially when you account for a chance of overlap between them. A lot of it has to do with the weights I see blaze and Forrest at. If blaze red shirts or goes 133 I just don't see who he loses to. You could definitely argue Crookham as the on-paper favorite right now but honestly if Marcus was in college this year I think he would be a favorite to make the finals. If he were to grow a lot this off season and go 141 I think he loses to Jesse. Jax has another year of high school and could red shirt. If he stays at 133 you could argue one of the Raneys could push him, they seem to give him issues stylistically but I think he's just far more complete and will refine some things defensively. Bo could potentially have Zepeda and Robideu around his weight both guys that I think can push him in college. If he opts to not red shirt he likely also has a year of shayne van ness who I would pick over him unless he has another injury setback. All this to say I can predict how guys are going to develop but assuming relative equal development across the board I don't see anyone currently in college or any guys their age/coming up at their respective weights that can push them aside from each other. I'll throw in Davino as another guy who could be an issue he has wins over Jax and Blaze and has been really impressive this season. Blaze separated himself a bit at u20's though although that's free. -

RBY vs Specner Likely tomorrow at 6:30 Est

Mohammanezhad looks really good no idea his age but looks quite young as well. -
He wants to grow the sport maybe he feels that's gods plan for him. Juan sotos contract was the most talked about thing for baseball this off season. Everyone talks about how much Shadeur Sanders is making or Arch manning. At the end of the day we are intrigued for whatever reason by someones compensation and it garners engagement. I think its also weird to scrutinize someone for setting themselves and their family in the best potential spot for their future, taking care of your family is pretty godly to me. You can paint it anyway you want to, to drive a certain narrative but at the end of the day I don't think any thing in that tweet contradicts what he said about god helping him make his decision.

Momeni looks like amouzad circa 2020.

Spencer wins 6-2 definitely looks not peaked right now and for good reason. Bazarganov is decent but he got teched by Haryutunan at euros last year and also lost to dingashvili who is like a fringe top 20-25 in the world type of guy. I do not think this form of spencer competes very well with Ono but maybe thats what he is peaking for. Conditioning does not quite seem there and not much sense of urgency. -
Who is this fella Firouz that wrestled zahid at 86kg I saw that he lost to kadiev at u23's but he is only 18 years old.

Bo, Blaze, Jax - who has the best college career?

Its more of hoping I think that Okie state team in 2027,2028 could be incredible if Forrest goes Lockett,Merill,Thompson,Robideu,Vega,Forrest,Routledge,Ross all should fit in pretty seamlessly they will need a good 125. -

Blaze (4) Individual (2) team Jax (assuming he goes a weight that blaze is not at) (4) individual (2) team assuming Okie state Bassett (3) Individual (0) team -

I do not think that is necessarily true, RBY's shortcomings to my eye seemed to be more a product of his style not translating well immediately from folk to free. He very much kept his butt to the outside in folkstyle and that's just going to have a serious trickledown effect in free whether it be going on the clock or surrendering pushouts against higher level guys. I'm not sure you can always use the Zain example for everyone, for instance Micic's optimal college weight was 133 but it is absolutely not to this point his optimal freestyle weight. Obviously Roman only has Mexico nationals in 2023 and u20 trials in 2018 as his two instances at 61kg so you don't really have any data to draw from for either side of the argument, but I think he's finally adjusting his style to free and that 57kg is probably his best weight especially given his less than stellar par terre. -

I'm sure the sentiment would have changed once he left PSU because its "the only place that can develop guys" even though I think a year ago the margin would have been significantly worse he looked markedly better than he did at the Olympics and events leading up. A 6-2 win over Deshazer is pretty darn impressive too, that guy does not give up points. -
Jax probably has the biggest frame out of all 3 of them but he seems to not be putting on much weight, maybe that will train in a college strength and conditioning program. I think all 3 are 65kg guys though maybe Bo will end up at 70 during non-Olympic years. Best case scenario for team usa they are 61,65,70 as fans of the sport having all 3 at 65 would be pretty freaking cool though.
-
Hot take, I think Bo announces he's going to Oklahoma state and says something along the lines of "and someone is coming with me" and Jax runs over with an Okie state hat on.

the only thing I could think about when seeing this picture is that coach freeman looks like he can bench a house.

Was a bit surprised to not hear anything about kaleb unless when he mentioned his brothers had knee surgeries that was what he was talking about. Kid has a real gift for editing.

This match will be in Johnstown, the rest of the state tournament will be in Altoona this weekend. edit: Saturday they will likely wrestle FCA in the state finals which is essnetially the team dual national finals 1 and 2 in the nation should be a must watch.

Is Josh Barr a legit title contender?
Truzzcat replied to Jimmy Cinnabon's topic in College Wrestling
I did not really feel like he could generate against Buchannon he seemed to struggle with his length, the bout seemed to take place primarily at the range Buchannon wanted it to. He also struggled to push the same pace he had in other matches and seems at least for the time being to be at a disadvantage on the mat. I felt very similarly about this match that I did with the Keck vs Carter match. Would I be shocked if the result flipped? not really but I would not predict it. -
over under 73.5 kid was chatting away doing that versa climber in the flow vid.

Rby will have to beat Deshazer in his quarter which I honestly don't know that I favor him in but if he does that, we will get him vs spencer in the semis. discuss

Bassett projected weight in college?
Truzzcat replied to Jimmy Cinnabon's topic in College Wrestling
I think he would be best served to avoid cutting much weight because of how he trains and his pace/style. Feels like any meaningful weight cutting could really bite him with his training right now that I think for most people would absolutely cause them to be in an over trained state. -
Mccrone/Kilkeary, Davino/Bouzakis, Mendez, Gallagher, Cannon, Welsh, Feldman all have a shot to AA next year. I think they are doing fine certainly need to go pretty hard on the 2026 and 2027 classes though.

hit list last two years: Jax: Lilledahl,Knox,Tomasello,Blaze,Stanich,Deshazer,Strickenberger,Seidel,Mendoza,Volk,Both Raneys,Cronin,(5-4 loss to gillman) Duke hit list: Lockett,Lewan,Thomas,Andonian,Jacques,Bouzakis Blaze hit list: Forrest,Lilledahl,Megaludis,Fix,Gross,Garrett,Ramos,Davino,Bailey,Deluca Bassett: Valencia,Ashnault,Zepeda Not detracting from Bo he never loses I think all the other 3 guys have domestic losses in the last two or so years (dukes last one was the ironman finals to kasak I think) I do not think the upper level wins are comparable at all though especially with Blaze and Jax.

would pay decent money to see him and SVN wrestle off for the spot.
