Duke vs Webster, Jax Vs Knox,Lilledahl and Bo,Zepeda, lemley,Valencia whoever comes out of those should be absolute treats. I think Mantanona could win 74 hes so much longer than ladarion and sealey.

I still haven't figured out the rules
Truzzcat replied to AnklePicker's topic in International Wrestling
It almost seemed like if you scored an offensive point at any point in the match, they would not put you on the clock unless you were completely disengaging from contact. -
I'm a big big fan of both Larkin brothers but they have been better at free than folk for as long as I've seen them on the scene so I would not expect a one for one translation of results to folk style. That being said I think he can be a national champ and potentially a 4x aa

I think at this point and time ghasempour could potentially be better than Yaz. Yaz beat him in 2019 6-3 and in 2020 5-2 for the world and olympic team but Ghasempour was 22 and 23 at the time and Yaz was probably in his prime. I would assume Ghasempour is in his prime now and Yaz may be out of if similarly to Taylor seemingly. Either way Aaron is my pick but I think a healthy Yazdani may be the ever so slightly easier matchup.

@Husker_Dulikely has some insight

Purely because there is so much separation from duke and the other guys around his weigh in the class of 2025. Where as while Blaze I think is better than Knox and Deluca they are both relatively comparable to his skill level. Bouzakis may be the closest comp to duke and Duke beat him 21-8 last time they wrestled. After writing that I checked what class ladarion Lockett is and hes also 2025 and I would have him and duke near a coin flip so Im good with blaze at #1

Brandon cannon is registered for 70kg for u20's I think thats notable I'm super high on him and he jumped up weight a lot in High school being at 106 and then I heard was sub 100lbs after his treatments he may be growing late and I think he'd be a great option at 157.
-
I agree but if it's best for the team I think he would do it. I also think he may want to grow into a 149 to be full sized for 65kg moving forward so he could use a year to do that.
-
Thayne was very good but not near as good as Rune imo and while Lehigh does tremendous with their lighter weights they seem to have issues developing the heavier guys.

Non Olympic Weight Trials Predictions?
Truzzcat replied to Masonbuckeye's topic in International Wrestling
On board with all of these wondering if we could see Aaron or DT maybe at 92 doubt both but potentially one of them I think Aaron will look to grow into 97 for 2028. I would probably go Zain at 70 if he wrestles he may retire after the olympics or just opt to not wrestle at worlds but if he does I doubt he goes 65. Ladarion Lockett looked really really good at 74kg and I think hes pretty undersized for that weight so he may have a shot as well. Kaleb Larkin is another one I think could do very well I think the cut to 65 is pretty brutal for him. Overall if we keep the same guys in from the olympics aside from zain but flip in Lee/Alirez/Jesse/Yianni I think 70 is our only weight with an outside shot to medal unless zain goes very high hopes for both worlds and olympics. -
beat Knox two matches to zero to make u17 team last year won gold 2-1 against Jax in High school 2-0 against Lilledahl beat him in iron man finals 2 years ago beat Nico at the trials beat Ramos at clarion open apparently trains with Jesse a lot at Ohio State 2 high school losses one off a fleeing the mat call to deluca at iron man in OT that he avenged for 3/4 and to davino in rideouts this year at ironman I think he is the best p4p wrestler in high school right now as far as recruiting goes you have him, jax, knox all sorta around the same weight for now although I think blaze and Jax end up in the 141-149 range so I would have him as the #2 recruit for 2025 behind duke simply because of separation from guys around your weight. I hope he goes to Ohio State he seems to train there a lot and with Jesse and Feldman having at least two more years welsh having three and him and davino coming in I think they could push PSU potentially.

Do any Penn State wrestlers beat Kyle Dake?

they move very similar and MM's stance and movement was quite different prior to PSU so I believe that for sure. Pace has always been there but the in and out footwork and the stance switching at least to the degree it is now I did not see in his first u20 run and even as much in the second as is prevalent now. It'll be interesting if he tightens things up like Nolf did, it will make him less exciting but in Nolfs case made him much better on the senior level. -
Thought the embrace with Taylor was quite nice to see. While I think the religious talk gets a bit overblown he seems like a very genuine young man and backs his words with the way he carries himself unlike some of the others. His wrestling speaks for itself even with yazandi in the field if the moment does not get to him Brooks is my pick and I don't think it will because if he believes everything he says god has him so there's really no need to put the olympics above any other tournament hes competed in.

Im really shocked that DT was able to get his hands locked a few times but Aaron just buried him with his hips. Not because I did not think Aaron had good hips but because Zahid was able to get past them twice and mirasola to an extent but iirc it was more of a throw by and then running the corner.
-
I'm wondering if guys in the position of DT and JB just did not even have in their frame of thought the idea of them losing so they had no plans on what to do in the moment and then did not want to do anything rash when that came to reality. In JB's case I think it was more of the crowd and potentially him wanting to give 79 another crack.

I think if we were more competitive internationally greco would be more enjoyable for me. I never enjoyed wrestling it personally (largely because I hand fought like a b*tch) but its hard to get super invested in the matches when we probably won't medal anyhow. I do think its really cool how good the service academies seem to be right now though. -
saw an interview that Blaze was warming up with Mendez and that he works out there a lot. Thats all I need to hear to tell myself its a lock he goes to Ohio State so here's a 2025-2026 lineup 125: Vinny k/Mccrone 133: Davino/Bouzakis/Blaze 141: Davino/Bouzakis/Blaze/shaw 149: Mendez 157: Birden/Gallagher/V. Bouzakis 165: Birden/Bouzakis/Gallagher 174: Welsh 184: Rogotzke 197: Geog/Transfer maybe 285: Feldman I still think the best move is to RS Jesse,Rogotzke, welsh, (Feldman if he used a medical his TF year) next year so you get two years with the current guys and all the young guys.

unfortunately it is, he also "died of a broken heart"

Having gone to a lot of PSU matches and then this event while they are PSU fans at the end of the day, the bad ones are the ones that never wrestled and are purely fans of PSU athletics in its entirety or are fans because they are so dominant. Generally the most obnoxious ones are the ones that have no idea what's going on and its very evident. When you have an alumni that size and pair it with a program that good I think its rather unavoidable. All that to say I agree with you but I don't want to lump the bad into the true wrestling community because I don't believe most of them are.
