the vito pat result was folk and both of those results were November of last year so I think he most likely has improved a lot since then. Jess lost to Cole Matthews in December of his Sophmore season. Matthews was 3-3 at the time and lost his next 4 matches after that win.

Uulu who Jax probably should have teched 15-4 they did not give him a pretty clear 4 beat Nick Lee and has teched Haryutunyan in the past, he also won u23 bronze losing to Yassengeldi only and senior bronze losing to only vito in 2023. Sujeet was Real's best win and hes very good 2x age level medalist beat Yianni in 2022 but overall, probably does not have the same body of work. -

Valencia feels the most freestyle savvy to me right now of all those guys which is kinda why I give him the worst chance in 2028. Feel like the other guys can make tactical improvements that he is already very proficient in. 2028 sleepers imo -Meyer 74kg (he needs to grow and stay healthy two things that I am not entirely sure are possible still think hes one of if not the most talented guys we have domestically) - Ross 125kg (as I mentioned above he weighs like 225 right now if he can put on good size to get to 250 I think he can be as physically imposing as masoumi while also having serious leg attacks) could still be too green and immature in 2028 though he will be 21 -KOT 86kg, I kinda like the idea of hoss keegan more than skinny sucked out Keegan. I think the way he wrestles is going to be tiring and really hard for bigger guys to deal with. He deflects pressure really well and can get to legs or around guys without going under them a lot of times which I think will mitigate the strength issues a bit but he could just be too small still. -Brandon Cannon (This is probably a huge reach but this kid keeps getting so much better year to year and is still growing. He is probably just MM lite crazy pace good attacks but probably just not as good at any of those things. If he can tighten up the defense like mitchell has and continue to pressure the way he does though I think he is a nightmare for anyone ( I believe he is still only 20) -Alex Facundo 74kg (He has always been better at free beat levi 6-0 and lost to Jordan 5-3 at trails did also lose to Berger 5-5 on the backside. He looked really good in the china stillwater dual still want to see how he looks with the new regime but I am optimistic it has been a good change for him.) - Aedon sinclair 86kg (He probably has the best hips I have ever seen besides Cenzo and Dake and he is not nearly as physically mature as those guys yet. On top of that he has an excellent chest wrap and crotch lift. I think a mature and improved Sinclair is a serious problem come 2028 think about how close he was to keeping Max off the team and what max did at u20's) -
I think Cooper is going to be really strong and stingy at 149, I have not seen him wrestle in over a year but one of the last matches I remember him wrestling he went 6 with PJ and lost 8-2 and did not get super overpowered. I do not think he can beat Lachlan but I also do not really see Lachlan lighting him up. Cooper seems like he will really be able to slow matches down.
-
A bit surprised to see Cooper at 149 Thought he would definitely be 157/165. Hope we get to watch his wrestle off with Lachlan I think people may be surprised with how competitive that could be.

where does one see this cool information?

realistically we have a guy who lost his bronze match controversially, a guy who was beating a former world champ 4-0 at. the break a guy who took silver and a guy who took bronze, and if you told me any or all of them did not make the team next year I would not be entirely shocked, that's how good our depth is. -

I really think Dreshaun ross with 25-30lbs on his body turns into masoumi with a low single and double. -

I think Trent gained the ability to not worry about getting tired at 92kg which has really allowed him to just focus on scoring probably a little bit of a mindset shift + having more energy. I wonder if cutting the weight would hurt him in both of those regards. -

realistically how many guys are you giving a shot? I think at this moment and it could change there are 7 contenders Mendez,Jax,Marcus,Valencia,Real,Stanich,Bassett. Jax and Marcus are probably the only two that are still actively growing physically so I think that is a bump for them. Valencia and Bassett are both super tough but do not feel like guys to me that are at this moment progressing at the same rate as the other guys and are not at this moment in a training environment that is conducive to making up the ground they need to so I am going to take them out that could change depending on where Bo goes. So my list is down to 5. Jesse lacks wins as of now in freestlye a lot of his expectations are based off of a yianni win when yianni was seemingly quite compromised and a close match with sub optimal Zain. He has losses to Larkin and real and beat blaze essentially off of shot clock points when Blaze was still in high school and weighed in 6lbs under. He is also the second oldest and has been in the same training situation for 4 years now and while he has made steady progression the bulk of his gains seemed to be from year 1 to year 2. I am assuming Jax and Blaze not factoring in size are comparable to him skill wise right now and give them more room for growth in the next 3 years. so that leaves Stanich,Real,Blaze,Jax. Stanich wins with his handfight and pace he was largely out wrestled by toprak for 2 minutes and then melted him which is a skill that works great internationally but I dont see him melting guys domestically although he does seem to still have a lot of room for growth looking at current trajectory, however I am going to removed him. Age makes me want to remove Real instinctually but he made drastic strides in my opinion from the open to what he did today. I do not think the guy that lost to valencia would have beaten sujeet or honestly have been within a few points of him so I am keeping him in as well as Jax and Blaze. So for my money 3 guys have a shot in 2028 to win the weight however I will bake in 10% chance for any of them to lose to the field. I still would have any of the 3 as a 30% shot to win right now although because of bias I would definitely inflate Jax. This of course is the way too early look so all of this could change drastically in 6 months to a year. -

57kg: Spencer over Luke 65kg: Jax over Blaze (Call me crazy but I think this is the toughest match he has in 2028) 74kg: PJ over Mitchell/Carr 86kg: Zahid over max 97kg: Rademacher over Snyder 125kg: Dreshaun I hope over Wyatt -
I think Cooper may get really big kid has been growing like a weed for the last 2 years or so. Same with peterson would not be shocked if he ends up at 165.
-
He went from losing to Desanto to being super competitive with the best guy in the world in a worse training situation last year than he will have this year (I assume he spends more time in stillwater) I think he will still make great strides without forgoing his senior year of HS.
-
AWA kid so he will probably end up at 157/165 and win a hodge as they seem to do. Kinda joking but I think the kid has incredible potential and while I did not think he had a spot year 1 or likely year 2 I was really excited to see what that room could do for him and see if he could find a way into that lineup. Great get for Michigan hope he does awesome.

Has a high school ever had a better big 3 than McCort?
Truzzcat replied to Truzzcat's topic in High School Wrestling
I'm not sure they were all at the peak of the their powers while on the same team by the same comparison as the mccort guys but I would put that up there with Bosco. St eds had Heil Abounader walz mark martin all at one time thats a pretty nasty squad 2011 st parish graham 3 jordan brothers ryan taylor Nick Brascetta -
So was the Starocci thing a fluke...???

I believe ed ruth had to sit out the lock haven dual because he was dusting some sugar the day prior however that could be all hearsay. -
He is kinda skinny but has a big back and really long limbs, certainly a better frame than chamizo to make that jump although I think Chamizo is more of an outlier in all regards than someone to base anything off of. Not sure of anyone else that has done it effectively.
-
How do you guys think Amouzad would do at 70/74 if he dedicated time to putting on size? Feels like he is far and away the best guy in the world for about 3-4 minutes but the cut really seems to kill him to where he is just holding on the last few minutes. I think he would still be big at 70kg and while not big for 74kg a good enough size to where he could really weaponize his pace if he can hold that first period pace for 6 minutes.
-
Great great wrestler and being an AWA kid I expect him to get much better, however he did not have a super clear path to start ever at okst given the class he is coming in with. Feels like he was always going to be behind Jax,Raney,Robideau,Vega. Thought he may do a year or two though.

Rodolfo was also absolutely juiced out of this planet when he was doing BJJ which I think could be why his cardio sucks so bad, much lower hematocrit without all those androgens.
