  1. People talking about getting broken by their coaches frosh year being stuck underneath... Nothing more humbling than being invited to work out with college guys while you're still in high school and catching a beating. Not everyone is Bo Bassett or Cary Kolat and your ego drops 1,000 points leaving you questioning if you ever want to wrestle again REAL quick. Take a guess how I very quickly learned humility and found out I wasn't a special snowflake
  2. Wrong and wrong Whisky Try a good single malt it will change your life. Johnny and its' ilk is for noobs and rubes. This is a hill I am willing to die on, on the college board no less.
  3. Ahh gotcha I missed that and flew right over my head. I will say though, he is very dynamic and has that eastern bloc "lull you to sleep then electricity bursts" style that consistently brings homes medals.
  4. Also impressive results from Valencia, Hall (lost to a medal match gatekeeper), Mike Mach (showed why weight classes exist), and Hillger at his first international showing. Oh and nice to see Zillmer back and healthy!
  5. DeShazer teched Cruz who has gone as far as quarters at worlds in '22. And it was RBYs first fair test down at 57. I wouldn't read too much one way or the other but it was an overall positive result. Micic has proven that an oversized *folkstyle 57 can be a hammer on the global scene if they can overcome the cut.
  6. Yes it is an unwritten rule when high-caliber refs are involved. The thought process is that if it remains low scoring then they will not lose on criteria. Non-high caliber refs and it's a crapshoot if you're lucky.
  7. Now THIS is a spicy hot take! True dark horse imo
  8. He recently converted to Kemetism and Sedona would be a great place to exercise his ritualistic perineum sunning at the alter of Ra the sun god
  9. 2019 He lost frosh year to Suriano (and Phillippi) 2021 his best win was DeSanto but nothing historic, lost in finals to RBY 2022 was fine but not historic 2023 he finished 4th
  10. $5 bucks someone is ready to launch the nuke
  11. Kaden G'pinfeller
  12. No he moves to Sedona and becomes a Seven Vortexes tour guide
  13. He's the head coach of Sunkist
  14. He lost to Mickey Phillipi that year who was a 4x R12. Not sure I would include that campaign in the historical greats...
  15. But not before a falling-out with his best rival after Dake's family falls violently ill from a chugging contest involving the raw milk from Taylor's dairy cows.
  16. **Looks around nervously hoping no one pays attention to my signature**
  17. Sorry for citing references during this use case.
  18. In 2018 #10 seed Emery Parker dropped an opening round match at 184 and won seven straight for 3rd place. Obviously fringe AA with the seeding is not quite in line with thread criteria but I would consider that a remarkably deep run nonetheless.
  19. I heard that story once before. Here's how it unfolded in real life:
  20. Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed and chose violence...
  21. There is no answer besides Jackson. 3 global titles signs, seals, and delivers the answer to this question.
  22. Never apologize to me for that is a fool's errand
