  1. We don't want any of the above at olympic last chance. That is a very, very bad scenario.
  2. Snyder takes losses and it's not concerning. Taz is concerning. Not for Snyder, for everyone.
  3. I believe he descends from the plains of Indianapolis. Check out the similarities to Jim Bob Cooter
  4. No disagreeing he is also an outstanding wrestling who is certainly in a good spot. It is a polarizing question and I gave a polarizing thesis for my pick was all.
  5. You're discounting rust and 50 pounds, it is what it is. No one thought Spencer Lee would get decked either. It's not like I'm saying it's likely I'm just saying it's not out of the realm of possible.
  6. Unlikely? Yes. Possible and not absurd? Also yes. If he takes a shot and gets caught under then it could easily happen. Heavyweights gonna heavyweight and they don't get off their backs very often.
  7. Messenbrink has more collegiate experience, and trains with two NCAA finalists every day in the best room in the country. I'll take him in March as the most likely. But I don't think a freshman wins this year at any weight class. Well, maybe 125 but that is because it is chaos and not because there is a front-runner.
  8. 1) Told everyone that Geno/Zare wouldn't happen. 2) Masoumi would phuck up Steveson. Matchups make matches and that is a BAD matchup. 3) Parris will either figure out Masoumi or that was the closest they will ever be again. No in between. 4) Snyder gonna Snyder. Beast and so appreciative he and Gwiz are still leaders of the team. 5) Thank god we are doing better than day 1 because yesterday was brutal.
  9. Probably weighs more than Cassioppi
  10. Sounds like Amos should start eating ten thousand calories a day if he wants to keep a spot in the lineup
  11. You think Poeta or Storniolo is going to risk the culture they have built by selling out for Ferrari? Not a chance. Bono would probably consider it if it meant anything other than pushing out a world team member in Amos, no matter how myeh he may be in folkstyle. But surely even he isn't that crappy.
  12. It might not be the best week to ask for pictures of wrestlers just sayin
  13. Brooks is already at senior world medal level. He is the only answer to this question and can only be revisited in April after OTT.
  14. I've heard Geno is at a rankings tourney with Zare many times. I'll believe it when I see it.
  15. Masoumi Parris yassssssss 125 looks like a great bracket
  16. I heard Johnny D is also not competing.
  17. In all fairness to Bono, losing the top heavyweight recruit to Minnesota shouldn't be held against him. 49 other states would have lost that recruiting battle also.
  18. Hold up what about the Ban Basketball movement? I'm behind the times... someone give me a jagerbomb!
  19. Everyone knows that only you know the answer to that question But in all seriousness, probably yes, correct? Natatoriums don't exactly grow on trees.
  20. Out of all the treasures in that reddit thread, and hoooo doggy there are some *fantastic* gems in there, this is the best one. I already know the answer is "because america, duh" but it's true nonetheless.
  21. Sans brackets, here is my terrible 57kg ranking of those already qualified + Suriano who is expected to qualify at Last Chance. Of these competitors I only expect Lee, Richards, and #s 8-12 to wrestle day 2 if they are sent to the backside. Spencer Lee Vito Arujau Zane Richards Thomas Gilman Daton Fix Nick Suriano Nico Megaludis Luke Lilledahl Marcus Blaze Liam Cronin Daniel DeShazer *NCAA champ
  22. Navy gets it done this year
  23. I said it succinctly but @flyingcement only beat around the bush. If you're going to have a hot take you better put on the oven gloves and go fully chaotic neutral. I also still stand by my post back on page one: backside McKee is the only lock. Now watch him make the finals haha
  24. There are times the Iran/Russia "we pick the team" model works and there are times the US/Japan "may the best competitor win" model works. This is likely very good news for the rest of the world. Otoguro publically commented multiple times he had trouble staying motivated after his world title and I'm sure that is even more true after running the table in front of the home crowd during the Tokyo olympics. Throw in the shocking loss to Musukaev, who did win worlds in his defense, and you have to wonder if the fire is still there or if he is just so engrained that he was going through very high quality motions. 2025 will be an interesting season to say the least.
