  1. Kerk is the farthest thing from "fun" I can think of. Just a big boring oak tree. David Taylor said it best when he said (paraphrasing) "if Kerkvliet could ever figure out how to put it all together and chain wrestle then he would be unstoppable." But unless something magical happens this is who Kerk is and he won't ever take The Leap now that dudes on the senior level have physically caught up to him.
  2. He's getting zero money from anywhere else and his career aspiration is to be famous. This is the only path left. He washed out of WWE. He never got off the ground in the NFL. If Bo Nickal, who is the Dana White prototype of supreme mic skills and mat skills and stopping power, can't get a prize fight yet then there is not a chance in hell Steveson makes big MMA moves in less than 5 years. He's a marginal fashion influencer. Wrestling isn't sexy but it's always going to be there for Steveson as long as he wants to compete.
  3. Already lost to Luke Luffman of Illinois. Kerk will get the 2 seed unless Hendrickson or Bastida goes undefeated but they will probably trade matches this year. Schultz shouldn't waste his time in folk anyways he should be solely focused on greco where no one cares that he is so boring.
  4. Constant broadcast outages, no product roadmap, and they can't even teach their bloggers how to use WordPress. Another feather in the cap for the the technology savants of the sport!
  5. Name your wager. I'll take an "I'm only here because I want to get paid" totally checked out HEW Gable Steveson over anyone else in the world not named Zare, Massoumi, or Geno right now. 100% serious. I'll call your bet right meow.
  6. You've been waiting all year to make that post, haven't you?
  7. i Purdon't see this happening
  8. Well, Mason Parris will always be an olympian and world medalist. He had a great career while Gable let it last.
  9. Of course Lewan looked like a deer in the headlights. It was the first time in his life that he was in a match where he needed to use his fingers AND toes to count all the points.
  10. Weird because we actually feel bad for you having to watch Bono.
  11. I'll take the guy who made the OTT finals and it won't be pretty. The Byrd who wrestles this weekend won't be the same guy in March when he's back in shape. Who knows which Ruth shows up, hopefully the good one. Meyer Shapiro unanimous MOW if he competes.
  12. It's November. Mobile is still broken with the bottom ad blocking the Tap-A-Talk toggle. Desktop is still a mess as well. Load times are a disaster (see the basic browser dev console screenshot below for the thousands of reasons), multiple tabs is a death wish. Might be worth investing in a fractional product manager who knows what they are doing. While I fully support every person migrating to Brave or similar, expecting people to use a different browser just to use a forum is... not ideal.
  13. They tried that but the kids ate all the fruit snacks and Capri Suns the parents were handing out and missed weight
  14. Kannon Webster is an undefeated #1 seed at B1Gs
  15. I hope you got a discount on your Cascade treadmill because that's the only one durable enough to keep moving those goal posts
  16. Zane Richards beat Gilman for his first world team at 29. What weight was that again? Again, not saying he will make the team. But he will wrestle at olympic trials. He could blow out both knees again on March 31, 2028 and I would still bet my paycheck Spencer Lee will be at OTT one last time. He may go 86 for all I know, but he will be there. He's like JB, Snyder, Taylor, etc - wired different than the rest of us.
  17. Thus why he shows up. He's got that Brands in him.
  18. Ahh crap already forgot he dropped in the quarters not the semis. Welp, I guess it's at WTT or worlds next year. Love me some JB but his (earned) hubris demands a standing O.
  19. If the question is who enters the 2028 OTT or non-oly WTT then I think it is the following: SHOWS UP Lee Vito Brooks Snyder Parris OUT Retherford Green Dake Burroughs (shoes on the mat tomorrow) Taylor (shoes on the mat tomorrow)
  20. The question was can he, not will he. As of now, yes. But no one knows what the future holds in 3.5 years.
  21. Taylor won his first world title at 28 and Burroughs won a title at 34. I'd say there is some time left on the clock in the ultimate match against Father Time, though he is more cruel at the light weights. Luckily Vito has the length to grow into 65 for the next quad.
  22. This seems like a relevant intermission to bump
  23. Shot clock, ride time clock, ALL STALLING!
  24. Messenbrink is on standby to give the Old Yeller treatment if there is a loss in the semis
  25. You're about 15 years behind. Use Nokogiri on Ruby Rails.
