He tore his knee immediately prior to the '24 olympics. Wasn't ready yet for worlds last year and is on the wrong side of 30 as of a couple weeks ago - last I knew is that the heart is there, the body not as much. Never left his shoes on the mat but the opportunity was been robbed from him. Hell of a way to go out on top through that gauntlet in 2023.

It's easier (read: not easy) to coach up and overachieve a mid-level recruit who meets a few top-tier opponents each season than it is to keep up with the B1G boys on a daily, weekly, monthly, in-season, off-season, recruiting-season, freestyle-season basis. If it was easy, everyone would do it. The problem with Bono is his demeanor. If you people think the Brands are stuck in their ways...
