Not belittling, just pointing out that Elor entered in pretty much every single other tournament. For what it's worth I think anyone who makes a senior team (top 3) should lose all eligibility below. If you can hang with the big dogs it's time to quit playing with the age group. If you win a world senior title you have absolutely no business in age group stuff as that's stealing developmental opportunities.

For three reasons, in order: 1) NBC pays more than Russia for Olympic broadcasting rights. 2) Russia consistently gears up for war during the Olympics and attacks the day after completion. He's got all day to recover. Retherford and Arujau have the best scenario possible for hard cuts since 57 and 65 didn't medal therefore no challenge tourney final. They won't wrestle until the evening so all day to recover, just the single semi match, and then the best of three finals the next day against the other semi winner.

If anyone is mad at JB they should remember what Starocci wrote before his finals match. Not exactly the nicest words so why is it wrong when Burroughs says he's going to attack him. After all, "this game is a cut throat business."

I forgot what a good sport Nickal is, like spanking an opponent during a match. And who can forget all those definitely not condescending helping hands after a match. Nickal is an all time champ and he's also an ass. They tend to go hand in hand as a requirement of the job.
