  1. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/transcript-trump-inauguration-speech-2025/ We have a government that has given unlimited funding to the defense of foreign borders but refuses to defend American borders, or more importantly, its own people. Our country can no longer deliver basic services in times of emergency, as recently shown by the wonderful people of North Carolina, who've been treated so badly. And other states who are still suffering from a hurricane that took place many months ago. Or more recently, Los Angeles, where we are watching fires still tragically burn from weeks ago without even a token of defense. To the Black and Hispanic communities, I want to thank you for the tremendous outpouring of love and trust that you have shown me with your vote. We set records, and I will not forget it. I've heard your voices in the campaign, and I look forward to working with you in the years to come. Today, I will sign a series of historic executive orders. With my actions today, we will end the Green New Deal and we will revoke the electric vehicle mandate, saving our auto industry and keeping my sacred pledge to our great American autoworkers. After years and years of illegal and unconstitutional federal efforts to restrict free expression, I will also sign an executive order to immediately stop all government censorship and bring back free speech to America. This week, I will also end the government policy of trying to socially engineer race and gender into every aspect of public and private life. Just to provide a few from his inaugural address. mspart
  2. So what the naysayers are saying is that they don't believe in science , that there are males and females. That they have different bodies and abilities both physically, mentally, and temperamentally. This is not an important thing for them to be discussion or for the President to discuss. Yet, when Biden tried to dictatorially change Title IX to have men become women, non here complained that he was taking important time talking about a nothing burger. Only when Trump comes in and changes that dynamic are there complaints. Science says there are male and female mammals, reptiles, fish, etc. They are all science deniers with regard to humans specifically. And they are all hypocrites as detailed above. mspart
  3. https://www.npr.org/2022/01/09/1071663583/viruses-evolve-and-weaken-over-time-what-does-that-mean-for-the-coronavirus Ayesha Rascoe talks with biologist Jennie Lavine from biotech firm Karius about how viruses evolve, why they tend to become weaker over time, and what this means for the coronavirus. https://news.northeastern.edu/2021/12/13/virus-evolution/ Because the goal of a virus is to survive, replicate, and spread, it tends to evolve toward being more infectious and less deadly. There are exceptions and other factors, but in general, says Auclair, that’s what virologists expect to see occur with SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19. No not always true, but generally true with coronaviruses. mspart
  4. Not really a buckeye fan, but they have a wrestling team so ok. I thought ND might make a game of it with their last TD and 2 pointer. But they ran out of gas. mspart
  5. ND tried in the 4th quarter but they let tOSU get too far ahead, it took too long and time ran out. The wrestling school won. mspart
  6. It did. mspart
  7. And the more those diseases mutate, they become less virulent. This is how virulent strains work. They can start with severe deadly effect, then mutate and become less deadly, although more easily transmitted. This is the lesson of history that was conveniently forgotten for covid. And for Covid, we can thank Fauci and his gain of function research with the Wuhan lab. It should never have happened, if not for the US and Chinese governments. mspart
  8. It is exactly the same. They get paid for not working. It is the same, you are just not willing to admit it. mspart
  9. Both have choked in recent years so it may be difficult to predict. That said, OSU does have a new coaching staff so that may be a difference. mspart
  10. TD has good reasoning. mspart
  11. The same happens after every government shutdown. I don't remember you complaining about that. The workers that did not work get paid. mspart
  12. What did Musk say as he did this alleged third reich signal? That might give some context. mspart
  13. Fauci = Perjury. mspart
  14. Them D's are nothing but schiesters. Believe what I say, not what I do. mspart
  15. Tell us how your really feel. mspart
  16. It's been almost 6 hours now since he took the oath of office. So there is some movement. mspart
  17. The ban that wasn't. mspart
  18. Yes, funny how there are good oligarchs and bad oligarchs. Biden never complained about the lizard, or the twitter guy or musk or anyone else as long as they were giving him their money. Those were good oligarchs, nothing to see here move along!!! mspart
  19. If he does it outside of 24 hours, will you still complain that he ended that conflict? mspart
  20. Nice. mspart
  21. Can a pardon be revoked? I don't think so. Seems kind of strange to think about. Would it take a law to proscribe the pardon power of the President? An amendment? It seems to me that there are many "laws" that describe and control powers granted in the Constitution. But the language in the Constitution states: Section 2. The President shall be commander in chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the militia of the several states, when called into the actual service of the United States; he may require the opinion, in writing, of the principal officer in each of the executive departments, upon any subject relating to the duties of their respective offices, and he shall have power to grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the United States, except in cases of impeachment. It does not say .... grant reprieves and pardons for potential offenses against the United States,... So many of those pardoned were pardoned for things they have not been prosecuted for. I suppose you could interpret that as possibilities rather than determinations of blame. I am unsure that the Constitution gives Biden the power to pardon potential offenses. I will leave that to those that speak legalese. mspart
  22. Is today: 1. MLK day 2. Innauguration of Donald Trump bringing in a new and fresh look 3. The getting rid of Joe Biden and his final acts of dictatorship as shown in the final days. Either way, this is a momentous day. mspart
  23. Thanks MP for posting that. I didn't know we had participation in anything, so this is good to hear. mspart
  24. https://www.npr.org/2025/01/17/nx-s1-5264378/biden-era-national-archivist-constitution President Biden on Friday declared that he considers the Equal Rights Amendment to the Constitution "the law of the land," a surprising declaration that does not have any formal force of effect, but that was celebrated by its backers in a rally in front of the National Archives. Talk about a dictator. mspart
  25. This is really great news for the people. CNN defamed a guy and are paying millions as a result. This guy is going to get 5 million in compensatory damages and untold tens of millions for punitive measures. I'm guessing CNN and the rest of the alphabet soup MSM will watch their P's and Q's from now on. mspart
