How are you, who is dead, so wise in the ways of IP science? mspart -
I would much rather have DeSantis than Trump. That's for sure. I would much rather have Trump than Kamala. That's for sure. aspart

If he had been motivated he would have won OTTs. I think there was talk about OSU coaching and that distracted him. He did not look like he wanted a trip to Paris to me. I could be wrong. He could have placed first but the desire would have had to be there. It wasn't. He's doing fine. mspart

Well, there aren't any anymore, that's for sure. Having a Primary is a joke to the Ds. Yeah, well we disagree so we'll put in whoever we want. That is essentially what they are telegraphing the next 4 years will be if they win. mspart

Harris Picks Walz as VP Running Mate over Josh Shapiro

Such people are not worthy of consideration BB. In all the lead up to where we are now, it started with someone doesn't feel safe or is uncomfortable because of something that was said. They need their own rooms to go to to unwind. They need to not have anyone contrary to their opinions on campus to share another opinion. Now we have TPT saying that that same logic should not, cannot, must not be used for those feeling uncomfortable or unsafe when using the wrong bathroom. Sorry TPT, you can't have it both ways. It is either right or wrong to make all people feel uncomfortable or not feel safe. Which is it? mspart -
I suppose he could but then his delegates have already pledged to Kamala. They would have to take all of the pre ballots they threw away for Biden and try to recover them and cancel the printing of the pre ballots for Kamala. mspart

When their rules say it is democratic, it should be democratic. Given the circumstances i don't know how they would do that. All I know is that if Kamala had been on the primary ballot she would not have been second or third. But in fact, Biden was essentially the only one allowed on primary ballots. And he received the votes. Then he did not voluntarily leave, he was coerced to leave the race. He said he would never leave unless God himself came down and told him. That was just before he gave it up. He was coerced and essentially told we can do this the easy way or the hard way. He chose the easy way because he was going to have to go one way or the other. That is where democracy in the D party died in this case. They forced the guy out that got all the primary votes for someone who got zero primary votes. There was no other voting allowed. Granted the delegates have fallen in line but they are not the people who voted. What would it look like if Biden didn't run and it was a wide open primary? That would have been democratic. Now you can't say there weren't signs. Biden has deteriorated significantly in the last 2 years. Yet all anyone without a brain could say was he is the best he's ever been, he runs circles around his staff etc etc. And Kamala was a huge liability and discussions were had to drop her. Then he quits and he is amazing and she is the saviour of the party and the right person for the job. Talk about two faced - and that's just the media. mspart

I'm wondering about Snyder. In his Bronze medal match, he hand fought like a crazy man and bled like one too. But I don't remember a lot of shots taken. He reached for legs and backed off. I never really saw a concerted offensive attack. Maybe I just don't remember well. But that is not the Snyder of yesteryear. When he shoots on Taz, he gets crushed. Happened again in the semi's. I think that affected him. It wouldn't surprise me if he went looking for something else to do. Lee - He can keep going if his knees are good. Or he may choose to coach or something else. He is committed to HWC for a few years. Retherford - I think he is done. Too bad about that, I hope he is ok. Dake - he came alive in the Bronze medal match late. If he can keep that going, he could last another cycle, but he is getting long in the tooth. But I think he has it physically to give. Brooks - He may be our guy for awhile but not sure. He medalled which is not nothing. So he was successful. He's young enough but I think he is more vulnerable. I don't think his matches with Taylor are indicative of him, but indicative that Taylor was done as he just didn't look motivated. Parris - He has done well just not this time. It seems to me this is his weight for awhile. My question marks are really Dake and Snyder. They ahve been playing this game for a long time and may decide the pasture is greener over there. mspart

Wow, now this is news. Musk and Rumble call them on their schtick and they have no defense so they cave and quit. Wow, just incredible. mspart

Yes, he is such a nice poster, never denigrates anyone on the boards and is always cordial. mspart Actually, I did not call you names. Actually I referenced the video of Biden saying he chose her because of the color of her skin and the lack of male genitalia. I did not infer that from the internet. He said it. If you don't like that he said it, too bad. He said it and you have no defense of it because it is the truth, and he said it. You don't argue with Biden about it. All you can do is call me names here and try to disparage me or others that point it out. It is weak and not very interesting. You need to try harder to abide by your credo of positive posting. As for your hypocritical posting here, I suggest you look in the mirror as you are seriously projecting here. mspart -

No need to censor here. That is why we have these boards. I think personal attacks and bad language are all that should be considered. Personal attacks does not include jokes about BobDole being dead or floating around or being six feet under or speaking with other deceased individuals. By the way, how is Amelia Earhart doing? Had any conversations with her lately? Has George Washington looked you up since you were a one time candidate for President, compadres you know? mspart -
I'll answer for RV. If an R - Yes, relevant and get all the dirt you can. If a D - Not relevant as Ds change their minds so often they don't know if they are coming or going. What they said x years ago means nothing. It is what they are saying now that means anything at all and is all that is relevant. mspart

Yes TPT, we know you want men to compete against women in women's sports. Yes, we know you want the state to waste money supplying school boys feminine products that they can't use. It's not being terrified. It was called common sense not too long ago. But we are now enlightened to the fact that men should be able to compete against women and use their lavatory and locker room facilities without question. Something most women are not comfortable with. Again, a situation laughable not too long ago, even by you. mspart -
Walz Military Record: The Right Wing Hypocrisy is Unreal!!!!
mspart replied to red viking's topic in Non Wrestling Topics
No one says Walz was wrong to serve his country. His service is admirable. 24 years is a long time. Walz was wrong to say he retired at a rank he did not retire at. Walz is wrong when he said he carried arms in war. Those two things are what Trump and Vance are critical of. They have never said Walz should not have served or that his service was bad. mspart -
Getting rid of Biden was a coup per the #2 definition. It was not unconstitutional as the Constitution does not define how candidates for the Presidency are nominated. The different parties have those rules. Were the nomination rules of the D party broken by the change in the nomination process? Yes. Biden was the clear winner of the Primaries yet was pushed out because of fear he would lose and cause other D candidates to lose. He has said so himself. Harris has not even given a press conference since at least 3 weeks ago. She cannot logically defend what has happened and will not do any interviews or press conferences. The D party runs primaries in all of the states and the overall winner of those primaries is the nominee. That is Biden by the voice of the people. Harris has been nominated, not by the voice of the people, but of the party delegates and leaders. In effect, the D party has produced an undemocratically chosen candidate if they go with anyone but Biden. Democracy isn't safe unless the Ds win is a lie. Democracy is already not safe because of the Ds. Examples: 1. Trying to keep Trump off of the ballot and not allowing the voters the right to vote (CO and ME). 2. Trying to keep RFK Jr off the state ballots (happening here in WA as well as other states) 3. Ds kicking the choice of the people off the ticket (Biden) and giving that mantle to Harris (not one person voted for her to be nominated). The voice of the people means nothing. 4. As another example, a couple of liberal orgs sued the WA sec of state for not counting signatures properly for 4 citizen initiatives. The initiatives were legally processed. This was a case of trying to keep them from being voted on by the people. Interestingly, these orgs and their leaders all are donors to the current WA AG and current Governor candidate Bob Ferguson. Ferguson, nor anyone else, told the organizers of this effort. Ferguson was obligated to argue for the initiatives but was personally opposed to them AND has accepted money from those that brought the lawsuit. Rather than recuse himself, he kept it under wraps. A reporter found out just before the WA Supreme Court ruled unanimously against the plaintiffs. The reporter asked for comment from the initiative backer. He had no comment as this was the first he had heard of it. This happened last Friday. This was an attempted coup of the initiatives on the sly and not allowing the main org that moved them forward to have a say in the defense. This was an attempt at voter suppression. This was not saving democracy for all of us, but attempting to shut down dissent before the Initiatives could be voted on by the people. https://lynnwoodtimes.com/2024/08/10/initiatives-240810/ Democracy certainly is at stake with those in power exercising such control over the processes. Democracy is certainly at stake when those in power deny due process and make obvious censorship efforts. That ladies and gentlemen is what the D party has provided. What happened to Biden was a coup per the second definition. mspart

Cleve Wootson Jr of WAPO asked KJP if the White House was going to censor the Musk and Trump interview on X? The exact question: https://www.foxnews.com/media/wapo-reporter-suggests-white-house-censor-misinformation-trump-musk-interview-press-briefing During Monday's press briefing, the Washington Post's Cleve Wootson Jr. invoked Musk's highly anticipated viral conversation with Trump that night, insisting misinformation is not a "campaign issue" but "an America issue" as well. "What role does the White House or the president have in sort of stopping that or stopping the spread of that or sort of intervening in that? Some of that was about campaign misinformation, but, you know, it’s a wider thing, right?" Wootson Jr. asked White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. This is a flagrant call for censorship of the Musk/Trump interview. Not based on anything real as this was before the interview took place. This was a call for pre-emptive censorship. Notice KJPs response: "It is incredibly important to call that out, as you’re doing. She is totally on board but unfortunately had to explain that X is a private company and they can't do much but it is important to call it out. We do not need anymore evidence of censorship being accepted by media and government. This is not the last time this will happen but we need nor more evidence this is an issue only the powerful hold. Does this make the media the enemy of the people by withholding important information? I believe this is evidence they are definitely on that track. It is eggregious that at one time it was "I may not agree with you but will defend your right to say it" to "I may not agree with you and I'll do what I can to make sure what you say will not be made available to the people for their consideration." It is an abdication of the role of media in our country. They are supposed to be the 4th estate, keeping the government honest. They are not supposed to be in cahoots with the government's effort to restrict information they do not like. Jonathan Turley wrote an entire article on this and cites his own book on freedom of speech. https://jonathanturley.org/2024/08/14/an-america-issue-washington-post-reporter-calls-on-white-house-to-censor-trump-for-america/#comments mspart

Yep, he said it there. She was picked for diversity. For those scoring at home, diversity is what the first letter represents in DEI. He did not pick her because she was the best to choose from, he did not pick her because she was intelligent. He picked her because she was diverse. He said it right there. mspart -
https://www.foxnews.com/media/cnn-fact-checks-tim-walz-about-absolutely-false-claim-he-carried-weapons-war CNN correspondent Tom Foreman fact-checked claims about Walz’s military record that same day, recalling, "Walz did make a comment, speaking to a group — he’s done it a couple of times, where he has used language that suggested that he carried weapons in a fighting situation." Walz was seen in a video shared by the Harris campaign on Wednesday where he declared at a campaign event, "We can make sure those weapons of war, that I carried in war, is the only place where those weapons are at." "There is a difference between being in a combat area, being involved in a time of war, and actually being in a position where people are shooting at you," he said, adding there "is no evidence that at any time Governor Walz was in the position of being shot at, and some of his language could easily be seen to suggest that he was. So that is absolutely false when he said that about gun rights out there." The correspondent also said the campaign had come forward to say that Walz would never want to purposely mislead people about this. Foreman noted such a response is "what campaigns tend to say." But if they say he didn't mean to purposefully mislead, there is a treasure trove of evidence to bury that "mea culpa". Walz has been doing this for a long time and finally got caught. Period. This will dog their campaign for a long time. mspart

I paid for Peacock and have to run through the commercials. In order to watch Hildebrandts match last night I had to go through a 4 hour broadcast. It doesn't tell me where the match is so I have to guess. Each time I guess I get to watch 2 minutes of commercials. I'm am irritated as heck. I spend 8 minutes trying to find a 6 minute match!! Amit's and Mijian's final were on a video all its own on Peacock. I thought that was how it was going to go. Nope. I'm canceling as soon as the Olys are over. mspart
