  1. X must be better. Facebook will emulate it. I think this answers the question. mspart
  2. Just making an observation. mspart
  3. OK, so we all get it. You cannot prove me worng. Good to know. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/January_6_United_States_Capitol_attack Within 36 hours, five people died: one was shot by Capitol Police, another died of a drug overdose, and three died of natural causes, including a police officer who died of natural causes a day after being assaulted by rioters. https://www.factcheck.org/2021/11/how-many-died-as-a-result-of-capitol-riot/ In a tweet on Oct. 24, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez referred to the Capitol riot on Jan. 6 as “a terror attack,” which she said resulted in “almost 10 dead.” She called for “any member of Congress who helped plot” it to be “expelled.” Journalist Glenn Greenwald commented on Twitter that the claim of “‘almost 10 dead’ from the 1/6 riot is deceitful in the extreme. Four people died on 1/6: all Trump supporters.” Two heart attacks: According to an April release from the Washington, D.C., medical examiner’s office, “Stop the Steal” protesters Kevin Greeson, 55, and Benjamin Phillips, 50, both died of cardiovascular disease, and the manner of death was deemed “natural.” An accidental overdose: D.C. police also said on the day after the riot that Rosanne Boyland, 34, of Kennisaw, Georgia, suffered a “medical emergency.” The New York Times reported on Jan. 15 that Boyland died “in a crush of fellow rioters during their attempt to fight through a police line, according to videos reviewed by The Times.” That narrative was furthered by prosecutors pressing criminal cases against some of the rioters who said that as rioters clashed with police, Boyland “was dying after being trampled by the mob.” But a month later, the D.C. medical examiner’s office released its conclusion that Boyland had died accidentally of “acute amphetamine intoxication.” A shooting death: Ashli Babbitt, 35, of San Diego and an Air Force veteran, died on the day of the riot after being shot in the shoulder by a Capitol Police officer while protesters “were forcing their way toward the House Chamber where Members of Congress were sheltering in place,” according to a Jan. 7 statement from then-U.S. Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund. In April, the Department of Justice announced that it would not pursue any charges against the Capitol Police officer who shot Babbitt. Ocasio-Cortez’s statement that the Capitol attack resulted in “almost 10 dead” includes five police officers, none of whom died at the scene on Jan. 6. Please prove this wrong. I am exaggerating of course. mspart
  4. It's good to see nothing has changed in RV land! mspart
  5. Speaking of which, we had a pretty good smoked brisket for Christmas. Yummay!! mspart
  6. Oh I see, you took the time to post two articles about the gulf thing but aren't too concerned about it. Yet you post nothing about the items you are concerned with. Interesting. mspart
  7. Prove what I wrote to be wrong WKN. I can take it. As to you not saying insurrection, that is where this all starts. That is why this has had legs that still gets brought up as a most terrible day. Maybe you didn't say it but your last paragraph above indicates that is what you are thinking. Otherwise, you would not say I am minimizing anything because it wasn't a big deal in the first place. Looking forward to you proving what I wrote as being wrong. mspart
  8. Vak did you read the axios article? It has a very low chance of being more than just paper. It will cost money and have to pass a filibuster. How concerned are you now? mspart
  9. Is this any different than Argentina calling the island off its coast Las Malvinas and the UK calling it the Falkland lslands? It has been known as the Gulf of Mexico for so long it really won't change. How can a law change the name of international waters from an international standpoint? Not much different than we call it Mexico and they call it Mejico. Whatever. I don't see the alarm here. Who here honestly thinks we will get Canada as the 51st state? That would be the biggest state in the union for sure. I don't think that will happen. Panama has to cede control of the canal. I don't think they will as it is a cash cow. As for taking over Greenland, I don't see that happening. We might get access to their natural resources maybe. Much ado about nothing. mspart
  10. Trump also said he is going to rename the Gulf of Mexico to Gulf of America. He is trolling all of you guys. mspart
  11. Perhaps nothing like this had never happened before. Is that a reason to misrepresent the facts of the issue. Only "demonstrators" died on Jan 6. One was shot dead by a capital police officer, 1 died of drug overdose, 2 died of heart attacks. Officer Sicknick died of suffering 2 strokes the day after and these strokes were confirmed had nothing to do with the previous day. Another officer died days later of suicide. Two others died in the summer months later. There is no reason to misrepresent (lie) about the facts of the event. To call it an insurrection is also misrepresenting what happened. No one has been prosecuted for insurrection. So that is not what happened. Please convince me that the Federal Government would not prosecute that if they could. It can't be shown. There was no insurrection. There was no effort to overthrow the government in a weaponless insurrection. After a few hours authorities said it was time to go and everyone left. That fact alone is how all insurrections end, wouldn't you think? mspart
  12. That would be something eh? mspart
  13. So TPT was saying he is getting mental health therapy without just coming out and saying that? I hope he finds relief and completeness in his life through this. Mental issues are tough because they aren't like a virus or bacteria to fight. Good luck TPT. mspart
  14. "Is" is quite malleable as Bill described all those years ago. mspart
  15. Rape and sexual assault are universally thought of as something that should not be tolerated. Rs and Ds are together on this. Please note the Ds reasoning for not supporting Brett Kavanaugh as a Scotus justice. Are you saying sexual assault is acceptable? If so, in what conditions is it acceptable? Is sexual assault ok to a 90 year old woman? 80 year old? 70 year old? 50 year old? 30 year old? 20 year old? 10 year old? 0 year old? And any in between? Is sexual assault against boys/men acceptable? It sounds like you are finding sexual assualt acceptable by bringing up a religious resistance that you have. mspart
  16. TPT, I'm not sure what you are talking about. What new thing are you doing? mspart
  17. Which one is it TPT. Not many do it or many have been caught? Registering to vote is different than voting at the polling place. If we need ID for Social Security, ID to enter a federal building, ID to fly, ID to drive, ID to get insurance, ID to hunt, ID to get benefits such as SNAP, Medicare, Pell grants, etc, then requiring ID to vote should not be such a huge deal. In fact, ID is required to have a bank account, a phone, a energy bill, a loan, etc. With perhaps a few exceptions noted regarding Indian Nation, which don't hold water really, but ok, any citizen of the USA should have to present an ID to vote. mspart
  18. Why would they vote not to deport sex offenders who are illegal aliens? I thought everyone was against sex offenders. Apparently the Ds are for sex offenders. W mspart
  19. Agreed. Rasta is not a fan. mspart not a fan as well. mspart
  20. Yes so what you are saying is that this way of life they live is essentially "livin' offa the fatta the lan'". Surely that is incorrect. mspart
  21. So essentially you don't know what you are talking about or something. This has generated quite the discussion all around. I appreciate all of the discussion. mspart
  22. The dude has wrestled 2 tourneys in the last 8 years and won them both - and those were the Olympics. Should he do nothing for another 3 years and try for an unprecedented 6 golds? I think he could do it. mspart
  23. That would shake things up all right!! mspart
  24. What a homer!!! mspart
  25. Hey everyone, I'm looking for actual reasoning why Ds don't want to require voter ID but require it for almost everything else, including getting a job with the DNC, getting in a government building, getting a license (biz or drivers) or social security. mspart
