  1. My brother loved that band. I have to admit I don't know a thing about them other than they created the groove that Nirvana capitalized on. Many years ago I learned some Pearl Jam and AIC and recorded them. They came out ok, even the leads. My wife threw them away in a cleaning spree. mspart
  2. Neither have a chance. The thing is they are so deluded they think they just didn't get their message across correctly. Their message was rejected in 2024. But they think if they can tell their story better, they will make it. Like all those people that say communism works, it just hasn't been implemented correctly. mspart
  3. I was in college at BYU and we drove to LA to see them on their first tour post Waters. It was a good concert. Worth the drive. Oh yeah! I keep playing, but have to learn new stuff every so often or it gets stale. Latest new songs are If by Bread, Nothing else matters by Metallica, Layla by Derek and the Dominos, Carry on by Kansas. All songs I knew about and never learned. I can play the songs but not the leads. Oh yeah , Back in Black and Hell's Bells by AC/DC. Again no lead work. Us and Them by Pink Floyd. I'll have to start thinking of songs I want to play again. mspart
  4. Diddy be bad. No bail. Stay in the pokie. mspart
  5. I apologize if you got the wrong impression. I think I am neither savvy about guitars or playing them. I can do ok as a rhythm guitarist but no way do I play any leads worth listening to. I don't come up with anything original. I know the scales and just play those. Horrible really. But I do love playing that's for sure. I'm just not very accomplished at it. David Gilmour once said he thought if he practiced enough he could play with real speed. He found out he couldn't. I can't either. I can play some Gilmour leads because he doesn't go for speed but for feel and emotion. I can copy those but can't come up with them. If it goes outside of the standard blues scale, I'm lost. UFO is a good example. I can play some of their stuff, but the leads, Schenker is just way out there, there is no way I can keep up. I appreciate your enthusiasm but I won't be posting any videos anytime soon. mspart
  6. The aliens also disregard the resolve a few humans have to survive and beat them. While everyone else is dying all around them, Tom Cruise is plotting revenge. mspart
  7. And what as he fighting exactly? Did he bring any new arguments that no one thought of regarding the big beautiful bill? No. It was simply a publicity stunt. He thinks he will be the next D Pres candidate. mspart

And there is no MSM reporting on this. The FBI knew about this, Wray testified it wasn't happening, and the FBI decided to squelch the report. Yay for Team Biden. Talk about politicizing Justice. mspart
  9. Epiphone (Gibson's side hustle really) is putting out some outstanding guitars for the money. I don't have the money for Gibson guitars so I settled on Epiphone which is owned by Gibson and they have been outstanding. If he doesn't like it can I have it? mspart
  10. If was ever in a pro fight, he would lose unless he fought a real nothing. He would have to work his way up the ladder so to speak and his fights wouldn't earn as much I wouldn't think. I'm guessing he keeps with the exhibition fights., makes lots of money, and doesn't get seriously hurt. I really thought Tyson was going to win. and in the 1st round, I really thought it as he came out very strong. But he either couldn't or wouldn't keep up the pace. And I think it was more wouldn't than couldn't. mspart
  11. Are you sure about that? mspart
  12. So this is bad how again? mspart
  13. You did not provide the definition that you say it adheres to. Please bring some background to your assertion. mspart
  14. I thought I'd change things up a little. I just got a 2024 Epi ES-335IG (IG=inspired by Gibson). I have been playing it a lot and it plays real nice. Sounds great. I'm no good and I still sound good. It has 57 Classic Gibson pickups, CTS pots, overall a very good guitar. I have a 2015 Epi Les Paul, that I have loved since I got it used in 2015 or 2016. I love that axe and play it mostly. Due to the newness of the ES-335, I am playing it less, but I picked it up the other day and I melted. It is just the right fit for me. I give both a thumbs up and would recommend them to anybody, even Mr. Gibson!!! I made a cheap pedal board out of some old plywood and Velcro. I have a Tube Screamer, Little Big MUFF, chorus, digital delay, and reverb. I play these through a Marshall Origin 20W head and through a 2x12 cabinet stocked with Celestion Vintage 30 speakers. I installed those myself. It sounds pretty good and it is very loud when on the 20W switch. I play it mostly on the lowest setting which is 0.5 watts I think. Even 5 watts is very loud in the room we have it in. I could not do a 100W amp. That would blow the windows out. Think Marty McFly at the beginning of the movie. I also have a Marshall 50W CODE amp that I retrofitted with a guitar jack//switch so it can port directly into the speaker cabinet and not the crappy speaker in the CODE. It sounds way better that way. This amp can model lots of vintage amps and has all the effects on board. Mostly what I do now is play a backing track through the CODE and play along with it on the other. So I am the guitar player for the song, that's a lot of fun. I just thought to put in a new thread that is not so polarizing. Please add anything to this, opinions, your gear that you love, etc. mspart
  15. Now you are making sense!! mspart
  16. There may be some truth tho that. To the rational person, thought of escape would seem very dangerous and not worth the risk. But we know prisons are not filled with rational people so maybe they don't think that way. My guess is that a few try and after that they don't because they all of the sudden become more rational. Puny alligators and pythons, what's the big deal. mspart
  17. That has what to do with Trump Caving to Canada which he didn't, the opposite happened. mspart
  18. I think insurance companies didn't have to worry about the amount of stolen vehicles much before the cameras went up, as the increase in stolen vehicles is a more recent thing. With the cameras, their payout was reduced. Without the cameras, their payout will increase. They don't like that so rates will go up. That's how I see it. mspart
  19. I can see your point here fishy. But it was a system that was used to find stolen cars and it worked well. Now they are getting rid of it, not because finding stolen cars is no longer important, but because they want to prevent ICE from using them. It would have been better to say what you said, we have thought about it and this appears to be an invasion of people's privacy, those who are not driving stolen cars. Apparently the system was to good as has been pointed out. It caught drivers of stolen cars but could surveil everyone . I agree that is a tough one to rationalize. My statement on the effect this will have on stolen cars and insurance rates stands nonetheless. mspart
  20. That's a ridiculous answer. What, in your opinion, is wrong with Alligator Alcratraz? I would like to know what your issues are with it. Just saying it is consistent with winger mentality is like saying having children is consistent with winger mentality and objecting to it for that reason alone. mspart
  21. I knew a guy that worked in Iran before the Shah fell. He said it was a trip. Get a can of beans and it was a can of tomatoes. Can of corn and it was a can of rice. You just never knew what you were going to get there. mspart
  22. RV, what is wrong with Alligator Alcatraz? Please be specific. As I understand it, it has a runway, and is a regular prison. I'm sure they have all the amenities one could hope for in a prison. mspart
  23. This is true. Tyson had a number of opportunities but didn't capitalize. I agree with that. We were watching it and couldn't believe it. Had to believe he was gassed, but after the fight, it seems likely he chose not to flatten Jake. I saw genuine fear in Jake's eyes in the first period like I said. Asked why he was biting his gloves, he said he has that nervous tic, likes to bite things. My son rolled with laughter at that comment. mspart
  24. Lets remember the history. Trump told canada that the digital tax was a no go. Canada said we are doing it. Trump said we are done talking. Canada eliminates the digital tax. You know you are losing big time when you adversary caves to you? Is that what you are trying to say here? mspart
