Two-time world champ Kristie Marano/Davis' story is wild. She essentially hid her pregnancy when she was like 18 or 19 (1998) and wrestled when she was 9 months pregnant. Pretty sure Kristie won world silver that year and the next. Then went on to win worlds in 2000. Kayla Marano (the baby she had in 1998) went on to have a pretty solid wrestling career. I feel exactly the same. I've never rooted for him in a match, but it's silly how he gets treated. Up above in this thread he gets bashed for being too loud and then bashed for being too quiet after that. Here he is getting knocked for being too Christian and not Christian enough. If people want to find things to attack a HS kid for, they're always going to find those things. I wish more of the kids I coached were obnoxious and super hard working. I'd have a pretty easy job if the biggest issue I dealt with as a coach was a kid knew where the camera was.

Find me an instance of any athlete pointing to the heavens after a loss. I'm not a fan of thanking God for athletic successes in general, but Bo in post tournament interviews is consistent when he says things like "I would have loved to come out with the win today, but you know, God has something else planned for me, so I'm just going to continue to trust in him and continue putting in the work and getting better." He is one of the humblest high school wrestlers in defeat that I have seen. I'm not even necessarily a Bo Bassett fan, but the hate he gets from grown men leads me to frequently feeling the need to defend him.

I genuinely don't understand why using NG to supplement the police shortage is an issue. They aren't invading people's privacy like big brother. Would it be more acceptable if they were military police because they have the training?

I have said this before but I will say it again. There are many reasons that the public schools are failing. None of them include lack of funding($17K+ per student here in KS). Just a few of the many reasons below. 1. No child left behind(one of the reasons why some high schoolers can't read) 2. Lack of Actual Parenting(schools are not your childcare) 3. No student accountability (teachers are not allowed to punish kids for bad behavior and instead are encouraged to use positive reinforcement. That doesn't work. Most kids don't care about rewards, stickers, pizza parties, etc) 4. Qualified teachers are burned out because they are being asked to do too much. They can't educate properly if they are too busy trying to act as an educator, counselor, parent, etc
