  1. Ironic that after years of being criticized for not having enough offense, Bartlett may have just taken down Carter Starocci and Cael Sanderson simultaneously.

  2. People being caught up on the figure of money in items which may have been stolen out of all of this is really throwing me off.

  3. I noticed Basch didn't make an infographic yet so I thought I'd help him out

  4. Willie… maybe he really had no idea what was happening. Basch on the other hand. Fuk that guy. He was supposedly tight with Beau and he acted like nothing bad was happening just to protect Cael and the program. He is a PR guy disguised as a media member. Disgusting behavior from him.

  6. Props to Bartlett and his wife for speaking openly and not behind an anonymous name. If more wrestlers/former teammates come out with similar allegations this could get ugly.

  7. Vak gave some good info to my comment but also the idea of a PSU announcer going ‘CARTERRR STAROCCIIIII’ and the police being like ‘where could he possibly be’ is so humorous

  8. How could the police not contact him from December to June if I’m reading it right? The PSU match schedule is public. But seriously this some really damning and bad stuff

  10. You're not going to believe this, but many people don't view every story that happens thru the prism of sports Fandom, and I'm not a person who hates PSU like that, anyway. You're the one here just dismissing multiple people making similar claims as if a college wrestler is likely to attract some sort of conspiracy against them. What you've decided to do is just ignore the allegations of multiple women and his teammate with no evidence other than your gut while assuming the best from a guy who hasn't even responded. One of is is definitely biased, but it ain't me.

  11. Holy cow. I get fanboys trying to spin everything in their teams favor, but Beau , a multi time AA, put his name out there and said I reported these things to coach and nothing happened. Not an anonymous source or a room guy with an axe to grind. It doesn't mean there was a crime provable beyond all reasonable doubt; however, a serious contributor to PSU success has put his name and quotes behind it. That, in and of itself, tells me this is not a "nothing burger"

  12. Putting aside the theft and SA claims, the claim that he was taking nude photos of teammates in the shower and posting in the group chat. That's more than a he-said/she-said situation. It's provable with the group chat. If that was reported to the coaching staff and they didn't report up the chain of command, that's a fireable offense.

  13. These stories break when someone is willing to come forward and put their name to accusations. Often, one person is enough to create the cracks in a dam of a story. Beau Bartlett putting his name to these accusations is not a "nothingburger".

  15. Seems appropriate to paraphrase my thoughts from the Ohio State documentary topic here, especially given that the PSU police couldn't seem to find CS for an interview over a 6 month period... If you know anything about the way colleges operated then (and now)... Everyone knew. Plenty of people complained. Those who complained were told by the administration to pound sand. As such, friends and teammates warned their friends and teammates and told them to make the best of it.

  16. https://uww.org/article/budapest-ranking-series-2025-entries-freestyle https://www.flowrestling.org/articles/14331600-2025-budapest-ranking-series-tournament-entries-mens-freestyle 57kg: Lilledahl and RBY are our American guys (I need that match) in there way will be Bazarganov from Azerbijan, UULU from Kyrgyzstan, Tsukaev from serbia and pavlov from Russia. 61kg: American guys Forrest, Silva and Shawyver both representing puerto rico. We could see Jax vs Suda which would be absolutely awesome. Suda is Japans rep and probably the biggest threat to whomever we send this ranking series is after Jax's final x series with Vito so could be a world final preview. Tairybek uulu from Kyrgyzstan is probably the other big hitter here. 65kg: No americans repping USA here Seabass is going and will get some tough matches. Tevanyan and dudaev are probably the most notable but I am interested to see how Abdullah toprak is. I think he will be Stanichs toughest match at u20's. (Colin realbuto is also competing) 70kg: No PJ at 70 but we will have James green, Gomez, and Voinovich. Musukaev, Kemertelidze, Aoyogi, Heybatov, Kaprynov are the heavy hitters here. I think Austin has a good shot of knocking off 1 or 2 of these guys but if he can run this field he is a gold medal threat. Aoyogi is probably the favorite here but if any of Kaprynov,Gomez,Heybatov took it I do not think it is a shock at all. 74kg: This weight is nuts David carr is going. Bayramov, Takahashi (beat mitchell at u23's), Valiev, Salkazonov (beat carr a few months ago pretty sound), Kaipanov and Khaniev. Valiev is obviously the favorite but I am super excited to see what Carr,Takahashi and Kaniev can do as the younger guys in the field. 79kg: Levi and Michael labriola are the two americans here but Labs is representing puerto rico which is cool they truly are US south at this point. I am not as familiar with the guys at this weight. Japans guy lost to Wick 8-0 so Levi should smoke him. Kougiomoustidis notably gave dake some really tough matches a few years ago, I think this is his first venture up to 79kg so that would be a great litmus test. Yergesh has been relatively pedestrian on the senior seen but he does have a win over Starocci at u23's a few years go. 86kg: This weight will be fun we have Zahid going. Kadi is the first name that pops out. Dhizoev and Zahid met this year and it was a 8-0 win for zahid. Bagaev will be a good test for Zahid as well. The name that really interest me is Ali Savadkhoui, that is the guy that beat JB at the world cup back in 21 or 22. 92kg: Trent going here and really should get a shot at the guys he is going to need to beat at worlds. Nurmagomedov, Karugliev, Abakarov are all here. 97kg: no kyle 125kg: no wyatt sorry for getting lazy at the end @Jon_Kozak how did I do did I miss any heavy hitters?

  20. No worries folks- you can go from being a coach that knowingly allows heinous things to happen to your team straight to being a politician! The future is still bright for Cael, one way or another.

  21. I will focus on this one since I have personal experience with it. I couldn't disagree more with your assessment that it's hard to separate assault from wrestling. It's not. As a teen I had a guy on my team who was just like Carter. He did all of this sh*t that Carter is being accused of and it certainly could not be confused with wrestling. Believe me when I tell you that these guys that do this don't just grab your junk and stick two of their fingers all the way up your ass and move on, they love doing it and they make sure you know it's intentional. It's 50% of the reason I quit wrestling after nine years when I would have likely been a kid who qualified for PIAA states in high school because I was good enough. The article does mention that Carter did some of these things to teammates in front of Cael.

  22. Let’s not cherry pick this one detail from the article. Clearly written by a non wrestler and they don’t have an understanding of the practice room environments. If his only accusation was excessive oil checks that’s one thing. But the article is full of other much more scathing statements. I wish the oil checking comments in the article weren’t even there…

  25. If even half of what's in that article is true, Cael should be out of a job. I'm curious to see how many notable people who were inside the PSU locker room at the time come out to defend Starocci (and Cael). Something that is very telling is that they clearly protected Starocci the entire time he had eligibility. But the second it was gone, they were ready to not sign him to NLWC.

  26. They are scared. Really bad timing considering what just happened with KS. Also really bad that it’s a NLWC athlete…again. And don’t give me that he wasn’t signed BS either

  27. Well on the subject of Starocci, gotta give credit to this Evan Smith guy. Looks like he put a lot of research into this. And looks like he has been part of a PSU wrestling podcast and has written other positive articles about PSU wrestling, so he’s not an ambulance chaser.

  29. Lefties' love to donate other people's money to their pet projects and pet people via taxation. Conservatives donate their own money and believe taxation should be used solely to fund the valid functions of government (roads/infrastructure, courts, defense, and almost nothing else; education at state/local level IF the money goes with the kid). Charity (or any form of income redistribution) is not one of those valid functions.

  31. Cael sweeping it aside or ignoring a rotten reality fits in with his Mormon upbringing. https://www.latterdaysurvivors.org/post/victim-blaming-when-mormon-leaders-inflict-harm-and-perpetuate-abuse His church has paid out tens of millions ot victims of sexual abuse - by leaders and members. Their leadership is taught that when a victim of sexual abuse comes in for counseling or to confess - call a help line - which is manned by Kirton, McConkie law firm. Not by actual counselors or health professionals. Women are property, no matter the talks of how they are honored, loved and such. Mormon Apostle Heber Kimball said “I think no more of taking another wife than I do of buying a cow”. Though not actively practicing polygamy, it is still a core doctrine & "The order of Heaven" - with God & Jesus both being polygamists. On the other hand, maybe Cael & Co aren't sure what to do & the University offers no guidance - in spite of the legacy of Paterno & Sandusky? Taking some stuff & "hiding it"? Maybe a prank? "They will work it out between them" attitude here? Easy to see Cael with his beliefs thinking the women are exaggerating what happened. Just seeing them with sleeveless dresses can be a trigger in this belief system. Mormon Apostle Dallin Oaks spoke of it with this. His group even goes so far as to airbrush sleeves on photos of young girls who are wearing sleeveless shirts or dresses. Young girls grade school age. Cael & Co might be a clueless as Joe Paterno was. As for Bartlett & his wife - they have done GOOD bringing this out, especially as they were apparently all but ignored trying to go through normal channels.

  34. Compared to other big budget sports, elite wrestlers and coaches are shielded from answering tough questions. Imagine if the Snyder situation was basketball, or Bassett was the number 1 football recruit. In these sports, the coach and those around the program would be pressured constantly to make a comment. Instead we live in a world where Snyder was shielded from the media at Final X and Cael never had to go on record about it. While the situation has improved in recent years with FLO and other outlets, sports journalists are still too scared of having access to top programs cut off. Fans and supporters are left to follow social media rumors and debate via chatrooms without fact checking. What would it take to have a better wrestling media other than money?

  40. As its an investigation, any contact can be refused. Police can then "bring him downtown" and interview him formally, which if they did that, he would theoretically HAVE to attend, but could refuse to answer any questions. That's the 5th Amendment to the Constitution i.e. "you have the right to remain silent..."

  41. 100% He was absolutely going to be a member of the NLWC until Bartlett started talking. They can say all that garbage about fun and it just being a wrestling match but in reality Cael built a win at all cost culture and it’s coming home to roost.
