It has been proved that Joe lied about: a) Not knowing anything about Hunter's business dealings. Archer's testimony refutes this categorically. b) Hunter not making any money in China. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2023/08/01/biden-said-his-son-earned-no-money-china-his-son-says-otherwise/ I think you are right that the "smoking gun" or evidence regarding Joe has not been revealed. So that should stop the investigation right? That's how an investigator would treat this right? Whatever happened to keep digging until you find something. Perhaps that's what you don't want to happen. Archer said Joe didn't say much of substance while in the meetings with Hunter's partners, and that he didn't have to. The access to the VP was the point, not the content of the meetings. This is all very clearly established. The question for Joe is why did he lie about a) and b) above? What was the point? To a normal not lawyer type, it looks like he was hiding information he did not want known. Why else lie about it? I'm not sure what it looks like to a lawyer type? I'm sure different lawyers will have different opinions on it. Perhaps you being a lawyer can answer that. Lessee - He lied because he could and there really was no reason to do it, nothing to see here folks. Or, he didn't lie and is still not lying. You would have to prove that one I guess. mspart2 points

The mask in the car always got me. That is some serious fear. So much so, I don't know how they function. But then there are a lot of frightened people out there. If it wasn't going to be Covid, it was going to be something else. I just keep reminding myself that everyone is dealing with something. I got together with a childhood friend I do not see very often. He told me his wife still would not leave the house until they have a cure for long Covid. I thought it really isn't about Covid, is it?2 points

I'd say it also comes down to audience/viewership. How do you get a larger audience to watch? If shown halftime of women's soccer would that help?1 point

In these 3 sentences, you both say you didn't say it and then you say it. You are giving your opinion that everything presented thus far are benign facts. All other opinions on the matter are false or without merit, is the implication. And you know that is not true. In fact you do not know that the facts are benign, you are hoping they are. I must say I am surprised that you as a lawyer are not more curious regarding these benign facts. Who was Joe working for while VP? Obama or Hunter? Both apparently. This does not raise a single question for you? Very surprising. Why did he lie about something so benign? That is the question most Americans, when presented with this, will ask themselves and come up with a very different answer than what you have presented. In other words, because evidence hasn't surfaced yet, there is nothing to see here folks. Nothing happened. It's all a witch hunt. Except there is incontrovertible evidence that Biden lied as noted above. So if these are benign facts, why did Biden lie? I reiterate, I don't think Biden will be the D candidate going into the 2024 general election. Damaged goods now. mspart1 point

https://jonathanturley.org/2023/08/09/how-donald-trumps-indictment-could-backfire-on-joe-biden/ Interesting take by Jonathan Turley. He is saying that the same accusations against Trump, could be levied against Biden. Trump is being indicted for knowingly saying false things about the election, to put it simply. The same could be used against Biden for knowingly saying false things about his knowledge and participation in his son's business dealings. Again, I don't think Biden will run for President again. Only Ds and very few I's will vote for him if this narrative keeps growing which it has been doing over the past 6 months plus. R's and most I's won't vote for him I don't think. And any presidential candidate will need to attract the I's. I'm guessing fair minded I's will not want to be voting for Biden because of: a) He's very old b) He is not very sharp and has physically regressed c) It appears he is part of an influence peddling scheme that most fair minded Americans find abhorrent. mspart1 point

Agreed. It is interesting. This needs to be the season Paddy turns it up. The wrestle offs between Paddy/Hepner and Hoffman/Geog I believe are going to matter this season, unlike last year when Kharch lost. I'm sure a year in the room has helped Bouzakis a bunch, and he's said as much and FWIW he's been great wrestling FS this season. I think Mendez takes a RS and if he doesn't that will be just fine with me. Decatur was in and then out of the portal and that makes me believe he knows he's going to get a shot. D'Emilio at 149. I believe Sammy will be Sammy at 157. Not sure how much familiarity the rest of the field has with him and that should work in his advantage. Hopefully Kharch can stay healthy and moving up has to help that. I've heard from folks that he was pretty miserable last season. Shumate is going to get his shot at 184. His stock dropped quite a bit in folks eyes. Interested to see him in a full season. Hoffman/Geog is a toss up. I want Geog and if he doesn't get 197 spot I don't think he can get to 184 and be effective. Although I do believe he beats Shumate. Feldman is going to be fine. He's going to struggle with some of the bigger HVY's. Excited to see him healthy and wrestling. GO BUCKS!1 point

The answer for professional wrestling will never be teams and a league. The answer is the tennis and golf model. Tournaments throughout the season, 4 majors, tournaments occuring in different countries.1 point

I believe he stays and wrestles off against Geog. Don't know who wins that and not certain if the winner even gets the spot. I'm just ready for Geog to go.1 point

People walk around with masks on in low transmission areas because: They are at high-risk, due to health reasons, and just prefer to not take any more risk. (Which I applaud.) They tested and are infected, and they prefer not to infect anyone else. (Which I also applaud, even more.) ... and for the same reason dogs walk around carrying their stuffed toys. If it makes them feel better, all good. Call it "hysteria" if you must - but it really isn't. You need to be nicer to your fellow human beings. It's just people being people. We're all imperfect and are trying to do the best we can. Fauci did a pretty good job, btw. You may post here like you're better than the rest of us... but you're really not. We're all imperfect, just doing our best. If you are really worried about "hysteria" - read your post above, it does fit the definition.1 point

I wasn't addressing Biden's claim, just answering Art's question about how it is possible. As for canned practice responses, he is a politician after all. Trump's go to was Fake News any time someone asked him an uncomfortable question. And if you watch a presidential debate it is exceedingly rare for any candidate of any party to answer any question. All "answers" are just redirections to talking points.1 point

Although i have to admit if I were on Mars I would wear a mask (prob more) in the car/rover. So maybe we are too harsh and some folk just see our atmosphere different than other folk. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯1 point

Ryan said that Feldman has looked fantastic and is fully healthy. I believe he said Feldman was around 240. Excited to see Bouzakis. Hepner/Paddy, someone gets left out. I want Shumate at 84 and Geog at 97. No offense to Hoffman and Geog will have to beat him and wrestle well to keep the spot. I believe Gonzales gets the spot and Kilkeary takes a RS. I think all the freshman RS. Who knows... Go Bucks!1 point

This has got to be the funniest post of all time....oh to be able to go back and revisit the Covid posts...LOL!!! Weakest argument ever..."it's now man...who talks about the past?" I know....I know...now you will call me names, PM me, get your undies all in a bunch, etc., etc. Dude...just admit you were wrong...it's very freeing. Don't worry...no one will think less of you as a man, or whatever you chose to identify as.1 point
