In a couple days you should be able to access the site through intermatwrestle.com also and that will be the main domain for here. Merry Christmas and enjoy fellas.

  2. I know it's not collegiate, and I was looking for some Belaglozov bodylocks in competition to add to the Christmas thread where I mentioned bodylocks to a fall/pin. Before I could get that far, I found this "gem". An example of my good friend/team mate Sergei Belaglozov showing a few of his skills on his feet and par tierre. Enjoy!! Merry Christmas https://fb.watch/hE7_kX0i9j/

  3. I've always respected Panther wrestling! Doug Schwab is doing a great job there presently. Lot's of great Panther wrestlers through the years, besides, Sandy Stevens wouldn't appreciate me going against the Panthers

  5. I want to get my best wishes in early as I will be out and about. Everyone have a wonderful and safe time. I enjoy arguing with you all, I enjoy learning from you all, and I enjoy being entertained by you all. I want to thank @Husker_Du for scrambling to put this board together on short notice as an early Christmas present to us all. Thank you @BobDole for your work from beyond the grave to make it all happen. And thank you @jross for archiving the previous board. Enjoy your family and friends everyone.

  6. I hear that is why Wisconsin got rid of all its professors. To teach the students personal accountability.

  7. Some people’s bodies just aren’t made for certain sports. I applaud chasing the dream, but someone needs to advise this guy to hang ‘em up.

  8. Purdue had 20 All-Americans in those 22 years. If you said All-American year in and year out you'd be closer.

  10. Kind of sacrilegious to me, given his opponent was none other than former UNI Panther coach, Brad Penrith. Rigged!

  12. So let’s say that we see Burroughs, Dake, and Taylor retire after the 2024 Olympics. Do AD’s immediately go out and try and hire them, or do they wait for them to do a few years as assistants first? I also wonder about Brent Metcalf, he has a ton of international experience as well as the College accolades, he might be a guy that could be very capable. I do think that if I was an AD, I would give both Jake Varner, and Casey Cunningham interviews.

  15. Unless one can “acquire” talent. The trend in wrestling for mid tier programs is this. The athletes are either 1-3s or 7-10s. The days of having the “average” guys around a 4-6 if you will is disappearing

  17. Random fan here that never wrestled, but I may be able to provide a few insights. Purdue has had several good years in a row from 2019-last year, but they are very young this year, so while recently they have had a really solid lineup (7 or 8 NQs with several possible AAs that are voodoo hexed never to make it (Brunner, Lydy, Schroder, etc...) This year they are wrestling a LOT of younger guys. No, they rarely lose to teams like Drexel, but they're young this year. Doesn't help that for reasons unknown to me, 197 blood round/possible AA Penola isn't wrestling this year, so they are going from 3/4 studs down to 2/3, with many weights currently looking like they aren't going to NQ. Currently it seems like 125, 141, 157 are the only NQ locks, and Purdue may get one or two more in with good Big Tens, which is definitely down.

  19. Exactly. Why should a university feel an obligation to educate and inform?

  20. Yeah. I actually wrote that about 6 years ago. I honestly could not understand the attraction of him for the middle and lower class. What would some spoiled rich brat from NYC do for them? As it turns out, not surprisingly, nothing. All of his tax breaks and economic policies focused on big corporations and rich guys, with the old "trickle down" promise. Who could have guessed? I also could not understand the attraction of him to the Religious Right. Nor the attraction of a misogynistic jackass such as him to ANY woman voter. (Somehow, my sister, an otherwise brilliant woman, is a Trump supporter because of religious beliefs.) My only explanation is that those people were/are attracted to his tough talk, like you said. I guess they think he's gonna show "them" who's boss. We aren't gonna take it anymore. They figured he was the hero we needed. (That's a #2 in my list.) Does America need to drain the swamp? Does America need a hero? Does America need an outsider? Absolutely! But it sure ain't the Orange Imbicile.

  21. Near as I can tell, Trump supporters fit in four categories: 1) The Religious Right and the gun nuts who feel they have no choice but to support whomever the Rs prop up in front of them. 2) Those who view Trump as some sort of "anti-establishment hero", kind of a Billy Jack with a spray tan and a bad haircut. Oh yeah, and bone spurs, don't forget the bone spurs. 3) Those who actually benefit from his "Big Boy Economics". This is a very, very small percentage, so 99.99% of you look to another category. 4) Just plain stupid. Note: These categories are not mutually exclusive. For the vast majority of you Trump supporters, let me explain what that means... Just because you are in one category, that doesn't preclude you from being in another. In fact, most Trump supporters would fit in at least two of these categories.

  22. Like I said, I don't think Trump will be the nominee, and I don't think he will win if he is. Trump is damaged goods. He will not bring in the Independents who I think have had enough of the circus. Trump as a person was probably responsible for 50% of the circus, but the D's in Congress and the media fomented the other 50%. Media wants him to run for sure, money in their pockets. But I don't think anyone will take him seriously as a candidate again, enough to have him win. I think he ran last time as a joke that catapulted him to the WH. Even Jesse Ventura didn't run for re-election as it just wasn't fun anymore. mspart

  23. NFTs are perfect for a scam artist like Trump. Most of the people who buy them will probably sit by the mailbox waiting for them to show up. It's even easier money for him than the whole "build the wall" BS.
